Nice! That's how I've done/taught it for years. I make forms with wood boards or with old picture frames, put in board bottom & loosely wrap with T-shirt fabric (secured with duct tape). Drop onto floor matt reducing noise. Trim edge in about 1/4 inch in so no clay catches form edge as shrinks. Remove at leatherhard so wet clay won't warp the forms or "mold/mildew" them, & thus freeing forms sooner so others can use. Use plastic round, oval, etc. "thrift store" plates & platters same way.
