Note that many cans these days have a plastic coating inside that can be toxic if you're going to be around this thing when it's burning off. If you can find the good old steel coffee cans, I haven't seen any of those with the plastic inside.
im gonna try this next time i get a can of beens. im trying to heat a fort iv made a wood stove already out of scrap metal but this looks like it will work brtter
can be used for heat. should be able to heat a small area. the paper will burn off not sure you want that to happen inside. but after the paper burns off it can be used inside. just be real careful. as alc heater be aware of need to ventilate from the fumes. in owners manual video was filled with twigs which lasted more than 45 minutes but it was a slow burn at first. was going to put vents in the door that could be opened and closed. a bigger pipe so that all the smoke goes outside is needed.
Those are quarter inch bolts by 4 inches up side down with the hex head as the foot pad. The chimney was a scrap piece of copper tube. I wanted to take it out the back near the top so the top of the can could be fully used as alcohol stove or heater or oven. After some testing wood it is like low heat to medium depending on how the wood burns. Fun little project.
What kind of wood do you burn in it.

Serious gassification indeed. lol Guess you gotta make sure not to sit toclose to the camp fire. lol

The chimney does not have a sufficient amount of diameter to allow an updraft to vent the gases

Save your cans and buy some tin snips, the cans recycle into many things. Some nice stove made from cat food, tuna, beer and soda cans.

I LIKE IT! Lets see it burning now.

Good video, you should put some more holes on the sides near the bottom.

Good video, keep thinking. Cute stack! But I think you'd do better combustion if it,(stack), was a bit bigger in diameter.
