Yes, they were absolutely amazing. If any of you have played Prince of Persia 4, Stuart Chatwood, The Tea Party's bassist, created the music for that game. Listen to it, and you will totally hear TTP in places.. I really miss this band.
What the hell happened to this band...sure they were basically a Doors and Zeppelin tribute band at the same time, but they had a neat thing going with the middle eastern beats and instruments, and then afgter two great albums, they went all industrial?!?!
See, Transmission, a majority of Triptych and Interzone Mantras I thought were incredible too, saw these guys in like 94 when I was in grade 8 at the local community center here...I remember just being blown away. Triptych I thought had a few weaker songs on it and Seven Circles only had a couple solid songs (Luxuria was pretty solid I thought) but Edges I always thought was their, kind of "white album"...
Luxuria for you too?! I LOOOOVE that song, it's definitley my favorite post-Edges tune by them. You really should check out "Line in the Sand', "Morocco", and the whole album really; put out by his new band "The Armada".
It sounds like what Transmission would have been if he had done his solo album first, and not gone on a NiN tangent.
Luxuria was great, I wasn't sure about the album initially but that song...see I love Nails, grew up with The Downward Spiral so it was sort of neat to hear that aspect come out in Transmission, There was a period during Edges-Triptych I was just fanatical about TTP...them, Tool, Radiohead and a few other bands were sort of a holy trinity for me... :)

It's great that they decided to do a reunion tour. I REALLY wanted to go for their Bluesfest performance, but it just wasn't in the cards.
I'm sorry :'(
But I'll continue to celebrate the one I love...The Tea Party!!!

One of their best songs IMO. It has such an atmosphere that cannot be matched, underrated as hell. Filmed in Sydney too I believe.

Spleder Solis,Edges of Twilight and transmition I have no problem listening to the whole album and not even want to skip any songs.
But what happened to them?for me they just changed there music to much.
But nevertheless I will always go to see Jeff Martin when he comes to my city or close to.

I agree, but would add Transmission to that list. Amazing work, different (but not bad!) sound. Kinda went downhill after that though.
bsdaemon666 3 years ago
Well Interzone Mantras wasn't bad either. But yeah it went downhill sometime in between there.
armandroh666 3 years ago
@armandroh666 Throw Transmission in there with those 2 and you got me.
