  • Jester the king music composer

  • AMIGA HAS SOUL.I LOVE IT

  • The phrase from 11:20 to 13:09 awesome xD

  • Good old Times ... (I'm the ex-Sysop of the BBS "Crying Fields" from Sanity) ... Amiga is always the best Computer of the world !

  • Absolutely amazing demo for its time. It's got pretty much every demo cliche you can think of...except spinning donuts :)

I've been listening to this tune off and on for years, it's always been a favourite in my collection.

  • This song was in ShadowWraith! Just like Stardust Memories.. why does Jester make all my favorite tracks? :O

  • Sanity, Crusaders, Magic 12. Those were good times.

  • Dobry MOD, jeden z moich ulubionych.

  • This demo opened my mind and made me see the truth.. well maybe not, but it made me think "I wanna do something similar too, this is just too cool" I had the mod recorded on c-casette, used to listen it all the time. Jester was my biggest idol.

  • after all these years.... it still is an amazing demo! Watching it sure brings back some memories :)

  • @OvniVago

    agree 10000% !!!

  • @OvniVago:

Nooo! Certainly it is (and will be) an outstanding .MOD, but did you ever heard the OPTIMUM FUCKED UP-score?

    J4P!!!

  • @OvniVago

Thank you so much ! :-)

  • Awesome! I love this music!!! It's fucking awesome ... I say this again: In my MP3 player NOW!!

  • Great! Check out the answer, also. The "High Fidelity Dreams" demo from Atari STE uploaded by Zeusgb ;-) Almost the same music quality.

  • I love 1:45 !!! EXCELENT DEMO! 5 stars and favourite NOW!

  • jester is the alltime (non-chip) moder of all time :)

  • Classic - Fantastic!

  • This music rules.

  • It was the most advanced demo code in 1991.

    Awesome.

  • PQP galera, um dos mais impressionantes computadores que eu tive em toda minha vida. Esta música me faz lembrar toda minha adolescência. CARACA acho que nunca mais veremos um computador tão maneiro quanto foi os AMIGA. Aprendi LightWave nele e uso até hoje este soft, OUTSTANDING!!!!!

  • Mesmerizing! Fantastic!

  • still art, scrollytext, color blending, code-only 2d/3d animation/texturing...elysium had all the staples and then some. not to mention my favorite track of all time, jester's mod.elysium. demos don't get any better in my book, past or present.

ps. i can't believe he made that mod and didn't even have his own machine...that's freaking nuts

  • brilliant demo and superbly coded with fantastic music.

    Amigas rule!!

  • Jester didn't have his own amiga? That makes it even beter!!!

    SANITY AND AMIGA STILL RULE!!!!!

  • This must be the best soundtrack I've ever heard.

  • And it works on a plain A1000 xD.

  • the music took only like 10% of the CPU power

    not much.

  • You mean one with only 256kB chip memory?

  • Well, not so plain xD Mine has the 256kb expansion in it... I meant no accelerators, nor extra memory beyond 512kb. I don't think it would work with only 256, but who knows xD...

  • Well, if you have the curiosity for that, you may try running games and demos with only 256kB.

Some software will run, other ones will behave well and display a (usually half-assed) message saying that you need at least 512kB of memory. Other software will simply assume you don't have less than 512kB and will crash.

Some software assume you have 512kB of CHIP memory as the bare-minimum standard (granted, 99,99% of all Amigas, even A1000s, had at least that) and will crash, some in weird ways.

  • (YouTube and its message-size limit.. oh well)

The are also some games/demos which need 1MB and expect the additional memory to be mapped at the specific address of the A500 512kB expansion. At least once a software insulted me saying I did not have enough memory, while the A1000 had 2MB of additional fast ram.

A1000s are quite a curiosity in the Amiga world, many (most?) not supporting the (almost useless) EHB mode, kickstart stored in a special RAM, unstandard connectors and so on.

  • I love this music

  • this is one of my favorite... great!

  • great! still impresive.

    and tune is just legendary!

    amiga rulez!!!

  • brilliant, this is also on the 'high fidelity dreams' demo on the atari st. its posted on here. thats where i first heard this music

  • Finally this demo is brought up to the surface. One of my favourites demos. Very fast routines and great music! 144 vector bobs in 3d ,morphning included and ofcourse runing in realtime on an amiga 500. I am impressed!.

  • The top 8 bobs were hardware sprites.

    Optimized like no other.
