  • I doesn't know that it can't fly - that sounds familiar somehow ;-)

  • WHY DOES YOUR GEE BEE HAVE NO PANTS?!?

  • Acted like the real thing

  • now lets enthisize gee bee= big ass barrel with motor with stubby wings. i dont think it was ment to be aerodynamic

  • Easy fix. She flew again i'm sure. ;)

  • geebees fly worse than shit

  • Tragedy!

  • even the rc geebees are deathtraps..

  • Sorry Lance... who names their little plastic pilot Lance???

  • that´s how it´s supposed to be landed - originally - one of a kind with the Dr I

  • *crash*.......sorry les

  • I love that plane but i find it so...incredibly stupidy dum!

  • hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats good for u rc people for not putting RC on the tittle!

  • @tackhammer001 us rc people find the title very descriptive

  • The guy who designed that plane was drunk, and later was found guilty of stupidity and hung.

  • Ahhh, the great Gee Bee... One of the coolest, yet dumbest planes ever invented by man.

  • LOL ! done that myself ....who hasn't ?? :D

  • i think its dumbo

  • lol.. but no damage? only the wing?

  • sorry man ...LOL that is soooo funny

    Sorry Dude

  • The gee bee is aPlane for professionals because its very heay to land and the stall is heavier tha other Models....

This GeeBee was to slow and this is not good...

  • The landing was so embarrasing--the Gee Bee didn't even have it's "PANTS" on!

  • Damn that sucks! Gee Bees are actually very good flying planes, they just take a bit more skill to land than others! If you can land a Gee Bee, you can land any rc plane! I have the Z model myself, but my next project will be an R2. The Z flies great, just check out my vid of the 2nd flight. (the fist flight it ended up standing on its nose in the middle of the runway!)

  • A country song was playing...there was a heartbreak in his near future!

  • 0:27. IT FREAKING BOUNCED! XD

  • All hail the breakaway wing, preventer of untold heartbreak.

  • shit box plane shit box pilot, get a gun it would be cheaper

  • "Sorry man..."

  • it wasn´t that bad... my cessna got splited in half the landing gear colaplsed, the motor burnned down and the reciver got thrown side ways in the fuselage...

  • sorry man

  • these planes are all motor and no control

  • dude its used to say that when the wings get detached from the body doring landing. its time to give the remote to some else.

  • OMG, I laughed so hard I cried!!! Didnt seem to hurt the Beeatch too much.

  • The same thing happened (and still happens) to these GeeBees. Many pilots were killed in this type of airplane. I really don't understand why people will still step into one of these flying coffins.......... If you build an unstable airplane (rc or full size) you're just asking for trouble.

  • Yep, these planes like to stay at high speeds to stay steady (even while landing).

  • Damn Gee Bee, ya gotta love 'em.

  • The Gee Bee... also known as the flying dildo.

  • lol im completly unclear on how you managed that ?pls explain rofl..

  • did the pilot die?

  • hahaha

  • FAIL

  • Jaysus, what a shitty landing! Piss-poor piloting...

  • they did have some made for a racing in the early 30's and most of the pilots die in the landings cuz its was to fast and to short

  • Thats a good landing for a Gee Bee. These things are exceptionally hard to fly. In Fact I would say the hardest rc plane I have ever flown.

  • In my opinion, GeeBees are the hardest planes to land...even more tricky to land than warbirds.

  • That isn't so bad :)

  • you have to be a skilled pilot to do something like that.

  • typical geebeee

  • that thing is ugly IMO

  • thats why i dont like GBs

  • nice

    landing

  • Bounced the landing.

  • What happened?! *laugh* It was coming in for a smooth landing and then flopped right over! Seemed too slow for such a big bounce. Seemed repairable though, yeah?

  • little damage i hope

  • I don't know why i watch these crash videos as they always make me feel sick.

  • So others models are boring? CRashing is what i want to get into then.

  • y cant i find a video of a real gee bee on youtube?

    can som1 tell me?

  • watch?v=DwqYh995YhU

  • U put in Search = Gee bee 1933 Crash in the search bar k :)

  • cool thnx mate

  • ouchie

  • yup handles like the real thing good for crashing.

  • Sounded like a hollow tub being hit on the gournd :)-

  • classic for great plains Gee-beee beee kit. I likked is but that landing was ewer a game. Landing mustt be ever under motor and glide slow only a little over stolling speed. That was reciepe (and some hours on the RFlight G2 simmulator).

  • who ever that is he sucks big balls at flying

  • Well, nobody got lit on fire or had their head popped off like a champagne cork, but aside from that I'd say you just about captured the authentic GeeBee experience!

  • Comment removed

  • The word "crash" usually appears after the words Gee Bee.

  • LMAO indeed, Youtube is full of vids of vintage aircraft. BUT very FEW Geebees

  • @billville111 hehehehehe :-)

  • @billville111 not true

  • Once on the ground, STAY ON THE GROUND!! :)

  • lol sorry lance

  • geeeeeeeeelllleeeeeeeebeeeeee.....

Kind-of-funny with the music in the background.........Everything seemed soo tranquile, when all of a sudden...!! CRASH!..... bang....crunch.....

    Sorry to see that happen....really....

  • Was it easy to fix?

  • i always fear my slowpoke doing this when i land it

  • It was when Ronnie Dunn hit that high note that his concentration was thrown off.

  • the secret is to keep 30% throttle as you come into the landing, that will stabilize it!....and 50% elevator....

    Best of luck!

  • I wonder if there is anyone who can land a Gee Bee safely. Only by chance this can happen, I imagine. Even the most experienced member of my RC Club, couldn't land it without tumbling it upside down. Difficult plane.

  • this is a normal geebee landing!

the things are tough to land at best.

  • learn how to land you fool

  • hippity hoppity;;;wow!!! they're called GeeBees short for granville bros...not bee gees...that was a group

  • he came in to hard, coupled with some wheels hangin from springs and then panic set in!!!!.....after it bounced back in the air full throttle should have been applied.

  • At :26 sec it shows the mickey mouse gear legs that are actually springs that soon will launch this plane airborne.

A shorty like this needs some shock dampening to survive for long.

Usually after the words RC Gee Bee you will see the word CRASH.

    Bill

  • lol it looked like the full size coming in. but hey easy fixer

  • I dont know, he tweaked it pretty hard to the right after he bounced the first time... wasnt the Bee Gee imo even though I admit it is harder to fly than most.

  • no matter how much great planes say its as stable as any other plane this proves it aint lol

  • the plane GEE BEE is unstable you fucking idiot, im sorry i said that

  • even as a Rc plane, The Bee Gee racer is still difficult to fly. These aircraft have always been unstable

  • wow the landing was looking good ? it troops to quick? the plane look fine nothing serious? how hard is to land the gee bee?

  • kinda looks like a flying pig

  • lol

  • Thanks captain obvious :P

    It's an RC plane.

  • @RCReview Dude, it says Great Planes in the title...that's an RC Company

  • Hey, it was just scale landing :D

  • "Sorry Lance!" Something tells me he crashed somebody elses plane :O

    It was very windy though...

  • well, not too bad! it came off clean just be grateful

  • Gonna keep this vid in mind when i maiden my P-26 Peashooter - Thanks for sharing !! Looks like Ur wire undercarriage allowed too much of bounce - But these planes are, by nature, hard to land, gotta come in shallow n fast, chop e throttle at the last minute with lotsa space ahead for roll ... 'em round radial cowls cause lotsa drag once the speed is reduced, hence, stall and loss of flight control - deadly at low level !!

  • WHOOPS ...sry man! rofl!

  • It's funny how a lot of people don't understand the Gee Bee, It was a great flier, the reason it was known to have problems was that it was used in air racing. When they raced they would pull the plane into an accelerated stall in the turns. Delmar Benjamin flew his full scale Gee Bee all thru the 80s and 90s with no problems. It was only a death trap when the fuel cap came off and went thru the wind shield, or you pulled to hard in a turn. Look up Delmar Benjamin and watch him fly.

    D

  • Gee bees are wonder flyers!!??

knife edge across the field, loops, barell rools ect.....

It is the LANDINGS that are very very hard to

    get right time after time...

  • The GeeBee's were dubbed (back in the day) "the flying death trap" because of the how many had crashed and killed.

  • dont be so hard on the stick ! move it slow ! try simulator :P

  • this is why i dont want to get mine off the ground! any tips for landing?

  • if you're going for the full stall(or three-point)landing, flare within a half foot of the ground. Otherwise, keep the speed up and plant it on the mains and avoid bouncing. easier said than done unfortunately :)

  • I did the exact same thing. the great planes gee bee is incredibly difficult to land. i've flown the adrian paige gee bee and it lands way nicer. i don't fault the pilot at all on this one

  • Gee Bee's airframe is heavy and small wings give it a fairly high wing loading and needs to land fairly hot, otherwise, the landing won't be so good. Gee Bee's are not forgiving and hard to fly/land- so for all you people giving this pilot a hard time, go fly and land yourself...it looks easier said then done!

  • Looks like too much aft c.g.

  • Are Gee Bees like that? seems like it has very poor roll stability, just a slight left wheel bounce and it practically went into knife edge.

  • No, Gee Bees really are one of the hardest airplanes to fly. Their real world counterparts were considered one of the most dangerous aircraft in the world. They don't forgive at all, and it would be very easy, even for someone who flies them everyday, to mash one up.

  • LMAO! that's the funniest crash landing I've ever seen!

  • ...duct tape...

  • NOOOOOOOO!!

    *slams head on table*

    That shit looked expensive T^T

  • You were a tad slow on the approach, which is why you had to deal with all that up-and-down. .....not that I could have landed it any better myself!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!
