  • Hi Cornfield,

What make are/were your chains I spend a lot of time in the French Alps , and having tried a few pairs both there and in the UK when needed I have found RUD to be very well made also Pewag Chains are recommended.

    I have a set of RUD's ( 14mm link/4mm thick ) for my 1.7dti Astra just the job.

  • Good job with your snow driving. We live in snow country here in the states. I know it seems pretty scary to people who are not accustomed to heavy snow fall, but if you have this for a couple of winters in a row, eventually everyone will be "professional" snow drivers. Best of luck to you and stay safe.

  • Don't know how you felt driving that - but I foolishly tried to get to work - only person on the motorway I was driving for most part - cut a long story short but how my wee ford fiesta got through that shit I will never know.... kept turning the radio up louder and louder to try and distract from the stress!!! Full blast by the time I got to work - only to be told they'd shut due to the weather so had to do the journey back!!!

  • What are you driving?

  • Loving your work Ted, have broken my snow chains.

  • OMG those roads are well dangerous!!
