  • What is the white tanker car filled with

  • Holy ---- not the kind of thing you want to see on a "Bomb Train".... One spark and Kablooee!

  • Amazing catch man!

  • Always thought that freight trains did'nt go passed the New London bridge.. Nice surprise..

  • Sweet video!

  • why was it on fire a little spilled over fuel or something like that?

  • Why does this train need helpers? Isn't Rhode Island flat terrain?

  • I'm a volunteer firefighter and I'm just wondering... WTF!?! Shouldnt they put that out???

  • Garbage P&W GE's on fire + mixing with ethanol = BOMBS. They gotta be careful there that none of the ashes/embers hit the tank cars. Those GE's should just be scrapped, they are a safety hazard.

  • @ecoRfan For one, stop bashing GE. I have seen EMDs blow more turbos than GEs. Before you talk smack, do your homework. The engine is not on fire. It is called a flare up. The older GE 7FDL 16 engines were famous for having the fuel mixture too rich or too lean. The injectors on these older FDLs sucked and were clogged very easily causing a fire show. Also, Tank cars arent that easy to ignite. Plus railroads are required to have at least one empty car seperate the tank cars from the lead engines

  • @nsrailfann4life91 I'm not a GE hater, I just dislike P&W Dash-8's. An NJ Transit ex-Amtrak P40 Genesis caught fire from the stack and they pulled the P40's from service briefly to solve that. I think the P40's operate great and I like them. It's a matter of maintenance how P&W gets my dislike.

  • @ecoRfan True that. They have the older phase dash 8s that are similair to that of Conrail that NS has gotten ahold of. Yet, you see that NS has resolved most of the problems with those units by upgrading and properly maintaining them.

  • Yea thats real smart, an engine on fire pulling an ethanol train.

  • @BNSF2184 Do your homework. Look at my response comment to ecoRfan and you will see why some of you make no sense. The engine is not on fire. Im a conductor for the Norfolk Southern, so I would know.

  • @nsrailfann4life91

GE's are still junk I know engineers on BNSF and CP. Hell CP ES44AC's w/ the desk controls are junk. The controls start rattling at speeds over 40. Theyre pulling capacity sux too. A reliable GE was the C30-7.

  • @BNSF2184 It mostly depends on the railroads specs for their locomotives and how well / often they maintain them. An EMD has 1 inverter per truck while a GE has 1 inverter per axle meaning that if an EMD loses a traction motor, the whole bogey locks and is junk, while a GE can lose a traction motor and still chug on without locking up or losing power to a bogey. GE's load faster than EMD's. Your talking to a Conductor here. Most of my RR friends say they love the GE over EMD. Just saying.

  • GE's doing what they do best. lmao

  • so wait... why is there a flaming train? I'm still confused after browsing comments and reading the description.

  • @alphlife There must be something wrong with the engine

  • Nice catch! don't see many of those!

  • @MontanaBarNone Thanks!

  • great catch

  • @conrailforever1999 Thanks!

  • Looks like the 3908 needs someone to take a peak at her turbo!

  • Great video

  • @RITRAINMAN Thanks!

  • Awesome railfan video.

  • Nice video!

  • @romanstransitpage Thanks!

  • Damn I live in Noank literally right at the spot where that stupid lady was hit by and amtrak train monday or .....sometime this week. also if that train had expolded I would have heard it loud and clear. Ouch lol

  • Nah, it's suspenseful !

  • Excellent! I'd say a good 2:00 of that could be cut to keep the viewer attached

  • I am not sure if that is normal for fire to come out. Last time I saw something like that, locomotive was on fire. Great catch also.

  • There is an engine fire on the lead engine at 2:29

  • @Alanfung13 no shit sherlock

  • @Alanfung13 No, REALLY?? READ THE DESCRIPTION

  • @Alanfung13 The B-series GE's like to do that. 3903 especially.
