seen these a few times seeing has they came from the next town over , colne muni 91 a belting local band , they got back together for a few gigs about 2 year ago ,yep colne muni they just sounded the same still great ,still nice guys to talk to
This song is alright, but I don't believe I heard it before. I notice it's from 1990, that;s awhile ago & I really wasn't listening to pop radio on a regular basis, so I might of missed out. They could be punk and if that's the case then most punk bands don't really get all tat much attention from ourr local FM stations here in Vancouver Cda....at least back when. Perhaps moreso now on CFOX FM, but then I wouldn't know. Rockabilly never got played here back when either, so there! THX
i'm in vancouver area, too, so i know you wouldn't hear bands like these on cfox or any other 'commercial' stations. the place to hear'em at that time would be the coolest radio station that ever existed here- coast radio- am800 or 1040. the station died because crtc wouldn't give them an fm band/license they applied for, because no one listened to music on am. so sad. alt-pop and non-top 40 music didn't get any exposure here without coast. jangle-pop forever! ;o)
Come along and see The Milltown Brothers at Colne Muni Sunday 31st January 2010. They are playing with 14 other bands for only £8. All the money is for Pendleside Hospice: Tel: 01282 661234 or 01282 440120 for tickets.
i saw these all the time when they used to play in london, at the borderline, they were mental and kicked arse on stage, totally never got the recognition they deserved. wicked posting
@BIGSNOUT I knew Matt at school to and people said that he was caught taking a dump behind a bus and standing in it while drunk on a school trip to France, everytime I see him on TV I always laugh at that story,
Class! Not heard this in years, lost my copy of the album Slinky time ago. Think Noel Gallagher slightly ripped off the melody from this for "Up in the sky", sounds well like it.
Saw them at the Crystal Palace Bowl around 90-91 they were one of the support acts for the Pixies.. If I remember correctly Ride were also on the bill along with two or three others.. I remember that half way through their set the key board player just got up and wondered around the stage..
cool song!brings back good memories from high school! being from a small city in Baja,Mexico this band wasn't known..it is great to be able and share comments about this band with others around the world...thank you whoever post this video!keep up the good work! sorry for my bad english!
Saw them in Leeds and Cardiff Unis in 1990 (may be 1991) supporting the La's. And, in my opinion, stole the show on both occassions. Loads of energy, great tunes. Shame their contribution has been overlooked, other than the Preston Front legacy (which was rather good too...).

I went to school with Matt Nelson. He was a sarcastic, arrogant prick that nobody liked.
