  • Simplicia was the smartest one here XD haha, nice movie CERN.

  • This makes me want to work at CERN.

  • im sorry, no just no.

  • I stopped watching when he declared that antimatter is like matter moving backwards in time. This is on CERNTV???

  • Thanks for posting! Brazilian students have watched it!

  • strange the anti-matter booster looks awfully lot a like joy stick.

  • einstein sounds like ZORRO

  • It began in 1907 when Minkowski tried to understand

    SRT using 4D space

Nobody knows what Minkowski negative space really is

Trying to understand it, Kaluza in 1921 created 5D space Nobody knows what it is too

    So

    If we don't know what 1+1 = 2

    how can we know what 5 + 4 = 9 ?

And if we don't know what is 4-D how can we understand SRT and another 10-D, 11-D/ String Theory ?

    Israel Sadovnik Socratus

  • special theory of relativity 1905, speed limit? more like the wave without a medium

  • if a black person visits a white person of the past..how sad would that be....sad but perhaps true..although einstein was not racist

  • what on earth has it got to do with racism... the question not being answered is the why question, why do the properties of light alter the transformations for space and time, why?

  • Funny video and very educative!! Post more!!!

  • Travel forward into the future yes (according to Einstein's theory), but backward? When I think of going backward in time, the only thing that comes to mind is Superman 1. Change the Earth's rotation in the opposite direction, and Voila! You can save Lois Lane! :)

  • Hey, we want subtitles in portuguese, please.

  • We do not know what time is. If time is a physical reality or just a propagation of the brain to cope with an everchanging multiverse. Just look at the issue as a funny idea. Because thats what it is.

  • Amazing... not only did he travel back in time .. he teleported as well!!! & then caused paradoxes ..

LOL ... nice bit of laymanistic fun

  • One man has been able to do this very thing without the LHC and wants to tell us more if we want to listen to how it is being correctly done. It is found in our DNA and the code to activate this process of Anti-Matters is also found in our DNA. There is currently no technology which can depict the attributes; however, they can be defined. If anyone at CERNTV is ready to go back in time to visit Albert, please contact me ASAP!

  • If Albert is able to discover a laptop as he has in this video, I believe we will today have better technology hence knowledge of our universe than we do today. Which tells me that, given the contents of this video and with our limited knowledge to be able to conceptualize this fictional imagery, our universe is already made perfect and we are seeking for it to become perfect in the wrong places.

  • SUBTITLES AVAILABLE

In English, Italian and Spanish. French an German to come soon.

Click on the triangle in the low-right corner, then "CC"

    Many thanks to hermengaudio.

  • wtf is up with the way he runs xD

  • the guy playing Herr Einstein ...is that Ron Jeremy?????

  • Read the description... It's Frederico Antinori.

  • yes. yes I'm sure it is. or his brother

  • Exc. vid. Does Prof. Rujula have a bad leg?

  • When is the collider going back online so you can make awesome new discoveries?

  • Hello, I'm from Barcelona and I'm doing a project about this video, but I have some problems for understand what they are saying. Is there anyone who could tell me where can I found the script of the video please??

    Thanks!!

  • give me an email and I'll send you the script.

    Silvano

  • well, im not an educated scientist, sry. But if your interested, go buy an easygoing scientific book about relativity theory. It is kinda basic.

  • Einstein: I told you. You cannot travel into the past.

  • Actually i think it is more likely we can travel back in time than travel in the future, because in my opinion, the future has not yet happened, but the past has.

  • Damn, you dont know a lot about physics, do you? If you believe, that the light has a maximum speed. = The main theory Einstein made, travelling into future, is a logical effect caused by that. Not a theory.. And by the way, our ability to move forward in time has been proven eksperimentally since then :D.. No comment.

  • Damn, nor do you?

WE ARE NOT ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD IN TIME(WELL NOT YET)!!!

If you know someone that has figured out how to do this, you need to tell the world, because that is one major discovery.

By the way **experimentally** is how it is spelt :D

  • Well,, Ill teach you.. We dont have the machinery, but we do have the knowledge. Time goes by, faster for a system standing still, so me wanting to go to year 3000, walks into a spacemachine, travel by high speed in one direction, then in some time, I travels back, then the time has passed faster than the time I was gone. So if I had moved something very close to the speed of light, I would have spent maybe 1 year of my life. But the world would be a 1000 years older. But you cant go back again.

  • Why has the time travelled faster though? is it that apparently to Einstein time slows down once you reach speeds close to the speed of light?

  • Your question is solved by a thought eksperiment, nothing can tell if it slows down by speed, or goes faster by rest.. But the difference is there.. Think about a watch, counting each time a lightparticle goes a distance. If you set the watch in movement, according to phytagoras, the distance, the light has to move will increase. Cuz you have both a movement forward and back + a sideways movement from the speed. That makes the watch go slower. The prove is bigger, but go read a book if you wanna

  • Its hard to read what your saying, although your English is good, just that you put the wrong connecting words in the wrong places and sometimes use the wrong words which sometimes makes it hard to understand.

  • time only slows down or speeds up relative to an observer at a fixed point or traveling at a different velocity, time seems normal to both people in their own environment

  • ANTIMATTER BOOSTER !! lol!

  • anti-matter colides withe matter,

creating a force stronge enought to,

let you travel faster then light,

so you would go back in time.

not transfer engery of antimatter on it's zelf,

    silly him XD

  • explain this :P

not colides but you know what i meen ?

  • A matter-antimatter collision wouldn't provide sufficient energy to accelerate to beyond the speed of light (since you would need an infinite amount of energy and then some, since objects become infinitely massive at light speed).

    I think he's right, somehow.

  • yea i know i read that some where,

butt i know now that what i said is not right;P

  • At 12:24, when Dr.Nuts is illustrating how the room would apear at a velocity close to that of light using his relativity camera, is not entirely correct, is it? The room would apear to shrink from all sides. It would also apear to turn blue due to the doppler effect. Correct me if I'm wrong..

  • portuguese please xD

  • totally 4 nurds but mst confess i thik its best youtube viedeo presented

  • por favor traduccir al español !!!!!!!

  • te apoyo vecino!!

  • I loved the "ANTIMATTER BOOSTER" Joystick XD

  • 1.41: Is it just me or does that look like that weird kid off i think its Lazytown. so thats whos working at Cern LMAO

  • that bitch is crazy

  • bravissimi ;)

  • Delightfully tongue-in-cheek and intentionally cheesy.

  • extremely corny beginning...

  • this is abit scary considering they could blow us up within a second :| all that nuclear knowlage!

  • we can't travel past if we could then we would have been visited already by now, therefore that theory sinks.

  • leave the fucking world.

  • i lol'd

  • I love it, this is what physicists do when they have WAY too much time on their hands.

    Bravo!

  • i hope this could be really happen!

  • Should've got Phillip Seymour Hoffman to play Einstein, and Nick Nolte to play the crazy guy who goes back in time.

And maybe Angelina Jolie as the girl...

  • We cannot travel back in time because of philosophical reasons. One of them is that we'd have no free will.

Another is that if I travelled back in time now, I'd reach this year eventually and the cycle would repeat (endless loop).

  • I see you have not considered alternate dimensions. With alternate dimensions it is not only possible, but you would also have free will. You would not be changing your own time line.

    Closed minds, closed doors...

  • Not alternate dimensions but alternate timetime lines. Dimensions themselves are very different things, for example time is a dimension and space is 3...

  • Who is gay? Oh I forgot stupid Americans use the word gay for everything. Why are you guys so obsessed with homosexuality?

  • the beginning of this film seems like its just made for stoners....seriously...what the hell? hahahah

  • Albert is very elegent in the film, i like him :D

  • I know Avaro de Rujula peersonnaly, as well as the passer by(Fabienne Marcastel)and Alice(Michele de Gennare). My mum works with. I even drew the World on wich one of the brothers is standing. I was never good at drawing...

  • Very good vid. Loved it. This would be the kind of video I would try and produce given the time and money required. Awsome. Linda

  • You can make another episode of the Matrix.

  • Very well done! Good exposition of why the speed of light must be constant. When they first started with the twin paradox, I was worried, but then they showed the lack of symmetry which depends on one twin changing reference frames, and alluded to the true explanation requiring general relativity. Excellent!

Enhorabuena.

  • no you cannot use antimatter to travel backwards in time...according to the the properties of antimatter and matter, collieding the two forces would cause pure energy to spread outwards at a speed of light if used on a rocket it might be possible to speed through space at the speed of light thus cutting time traveled to worlds farther from our own by 3/4 or 2/3...only problem is creating a rocket that can contain the blast of pure energy without shreading it so oblivion.

  • If infinite energy is required to travel at the speed of light, does each photon then carry an infinite energy?

  • No, because light has no mass.

So I think that means light requires no energy to move, as there is no mass to move. :P

  • Cern will create a singularity that will be the beginning of the ability to do time travel. A miniature black hole if you will... My prediction made July 22, 2008

  • You are right. In CERN they are really doing miniature black holes. My father told me that one day, we will be able to travel through time. It's really cool....

  • a. We can't travel into the past - we'd have no free will.

    b. We can't travel into the future - the future is IN FRONT of us, not the present.

  • No. Each photon has no rest mass, but carries energy equal to Planck's constant times its frequency. It has, similarly, momentum.

  • so is the stuff about antimatter in the beginning- that it travelles backwards in time true??

  • well, this is answered. but moreover when you take a PET you don't really travel back in time, do you?

  • parallel synchronized randomness

  • when your luciferian wonder-weapon gets functional- are you going to summon the anti-Christ from another dimension?

  • this is awesome thanks for uploading.

  • You can go many times faster than the speed of light... by traversing space-time. ie skipping it. So your actual velocity is never greater than light speed. But you in effect you have traveled distances in a time frame that would normally mean going at a velocity > light.

  • Matter becomes energy at the speed of light, therefore you would cease to exist.

  • I don't understand how you can't tr avel faster than light. Can someone please explain it to me?

  • yes but time is affected by gravity therefore the speed (distance x TIME) of light is variable

  • Very good presentations of some big ideas. Very accessible.

  • Excellent. Has to be viewd slowly with a pen and paper around.

  • haha agreed
