at least heaven's gotten a little more macho...he reunited with angelo, sherri and elizabeth. and heaven;s got Macho Madness, Latino Heat, A gentle giant named Andre, JYD's still doing the little jig he does. Rick Rude is ravishing, Owen and Davey Boy are representing the harts, Curt's still perfect, hawks saying what a rush. yoko, freddie who is still being classy and Gorilla and Solie are commentating on one hell of a wrestling match
amazing video man. if u do get a chance to read this i just want to say that i love that u made a video like this showing your inner self like this. you guys mean a lot to me and u really showed your true colors here.. much respect brothers
And the funny thing is, the way I got into PPVs was the same way, going to Blockbuster. I am 19 so when I was younger watching it was like 96/97, but even when I got into it live I was really into the older stuff. I actually got Mania 1-13 at the Blockbuster. I remember being like 6 and thinking how much better Steamboat vs Savage was than Hogan vs Andre.
I feel the same way when I hear about wrestlers who pass. I get teary eyed and I just feel down. And I totally see what you mean about Mach, Macho Man, Razor Ramon, and Ric Flair are like THE guys who captivated me and made me a wrestling fan. So when he passed it honestly crushed me.
One of my favorite feuds that macho man was in is when he and hogan were feuding with the dungeon of doom. But if they were to put Macho Man in the hall of fame now It wouldn't mean as much if they did it while he was alive. It'd just be too much like cashing in on a man's death. He should've been put in the hall of fame a long time ago.
Doug i totally got tears when i saw this video. Its soo sad that the business has lost one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. When i heard he passed i didnt believe man. Ive watched him wrestle since i was a kid and its very sad to see hes gone now. Ive loved the guy from his feuds with ultimate warrior to his long feud with ddp. Im truely sad that hes no longer with us. I cried when eddie guerrero passed and when chris beniot passed. And its sad to see now that the macho man is gone :''(
Thank you for making this video. I too share your sentiments, as I have also grew up watching Randy Savage for most of my life, and it's really depressing to see and hear the news, even back when it happened. I really enjoyed his work, and I still do to this day. It's sad to see him go, and no matter what happens, Macho Man will always live on in our hearts.
Thank you for all of the memorable moments and matches, Macho Man. I will always miss you. I am forever grateful for being a true fan. :)
You watched one Randy Savage interview....... and you never forgot him. Thats how amazing the guy was, he just got your full attention as soon as he was on the screen. RIP Randy Ooooohh YEA
if you cry for Randy Savage no problem it makes you no less of a man rip in Macho man Randy svage oh yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh elbowdrop in heaven
Doug I just gotta tell you man that I am with you bro. Macho man was my favorite when I was a little kid and was really the guy who got me into wrestling. If it wasn't for that guy, I more than likely wouldn't be the fan that I am. I swear, Vince McMahon is a complete prick. The Hall of Fame is suppose to honor those who contributed to the business, not to leave out those who pissed Vince McMahon off. Its a total shame. Macho was a one of a kind athlete and no one could ever be like him.
As a fan of Randy Savage and Hogan. I just want to say that I dont think we have to constantly put Hogan down to build savage up. He was a great wrestler, he was VERY entertaining and Im gonna miss him a lot. But i am getting a little tired of hearing people put Hogan down just to praise savage. How about we just praise Savage and remember the good times. I love The Macho Man and I'm really gonna Miss him
Eddie was the worst for me man. I cried so hard man. Its sad to see our heros go like that because from a generation raised by tv they mean soooo much to us
what i love most is that he never ruined his legacy. when he got out of wrestling, he was out. u ain't hear nothing else about him whether it was in games or backstage....Oh yea he was the man oh yeaaa
And standing out in those days when you were not Hogan or Flair was not as easy as it is today "Not saying it's very easy" But back then to main event big events when you were not Hogan and Flair is something in itself. He will surely be missed by me. But I know he is somewhere smiling and feeling great wherever he may be. OOOH YEAH!!
And you know Macho Man in my opinion of course one of the greatest. But he made others have a great presence around him. He won his share of matches but he never took all the glory away from anyone. And his presence was amazing. I mean you will never see another Macho Man again "Not even close" And he was in the days where wrestling had many big stars and it showed not like today where they have so called big stars and it does not show. And in those many big stars in his day,. He stood out!
I grew up watching the Macho Man. But as sad as I am I know he is somewhere happy and giving flying elbow smashes to people and I say that with the respect for a wrestler who I consider WAY up there in the greatest of alltime. He in fact "Even if we hated him or liked him" Had big shoes to fill when he first won the WWE title after the whole Andre the Giant/Dibiase fued that ended vacating the title. But I tell you what he more than filled the shoes he made his own shoes. Such a refreshing time.
"Maybe I will make a video someday rather than writing alot lol" In fact it was a great moment in wrestling for me. The Macho Man becoming world champion! Not Hulk Hogan as champion but the Macho man and he really ran with it and had such great matches. But of course no matter what title he held or when he was not a champion there never seemed to be a dull moment. But it's sad for me. But at the same time I know he is alright and he is hanging out with Elizebeth in wherever realm he may be in.
So Many Legends Gone And Now Randy has joined that big list when my sister and my dad told me Savage Died i was shocked and devastated I Couldnt Believe what i heard I Grew Up Watching Macho Man In WCW Many So Great Memories He Will Always Be Remembered And Will Never Be Forgotten
Good video Doug. I found it rather tasteless that WWE had Big Show to get hit by a car only days after his death. Well I shouldn't be surprise, these are the same people who blew up Eddie's car just days after he passed.
@Tacoflavoredkisses25 I kept going on about it because you had something to say and I was trying to tell that I got what you were saying, but honsetly didn't really care. So don't tell me that "I need to take a breather" and say "For Christ sake" like I've inconvenienced you, because you were the one who had something to say about my comment to begin with.
Yeah this death made me feel really old. I've been watching wrestling for like 15-16 years I've been watching all my life. It sucks. I never expected Macho Man to go this soon. I always thought the Hogans, Flairs, Savages, Harts would always be around. Wrestling has played a huge part in my life too and I know what your going through. I grew up idolizing guys like Goldberg, HBK, Stone Cold, and we know what your going through bro
Like Iv already said a few times, this reminds me a lot of going to my great aunt's funeral last month, its hard to feel anything about the death of someone you never knew. And I understand how some of the older fans are upset, but Im only 20, I never saw Macho Man and I never got interested in looking back through his past. So I get it, I get that people are upset but I dont really feel anything about it.
They say that Satan goes up to Heaven evey now and then to challenge God and His angels for authority and to boost about his skills. Well, Satan's next visit will be different... Because Heaven has a new occupant and on the other side of those pearly gates awaits The Madness. I wouldn't want to be the opposition because Macho Man will be at "One million percent!!!.... That's better than a hundred.""Oooooooohhh Yeeeeeeaaaahhh!!!!" (waves finger around in the air)
@Tacoflavoredkisses25 Well... first of all, I didn't say I was God and that comment was just a light-hearted one, not to be taken all the way to the nuts like you took it. Second of all, I'M just wondering how can you come on a tribute video and just bring down the mood and start trolling comments. So please take your overly-serious, dramatic self elsewhere and let the rest of us voice our opinions and leave encouraging comments about Macho Man. thank you.
@mungface36 i was just being realistic i guess you live in some fantasy world where everything is perfect and everyone goes to heaven if that were the case why would there be a hell? im not trolling i was just wondering how a commoner like you or i or anyone for that matter can honestly sit there and say that (even though its highly unlikly you know macho man personally) can say he is going to heaven for all we know he could be going to hell of cource we want him n heaven just being realistic
@Tacoflavoredkisses25 I don't live in a fantasy world and I obviously know that the world isn't perfect and that people go to Hell as well as Heaven. And I don't know why you bothered to respond, because I'm telling you that I get what you're saying, but in all honestly I am still gonna leave the comment up, not apologize for anything since it was a positive, light-hearted comment, and go on about my day. I know that he might not be in Heaven, but at the same time he might not be in Hell either.
Macho Man was ahead of Hogan in every aspect: promos, wrestling ability, and in-ring and entrance presentation. I put Macho Man over Hogan any day. Actually, I believe Macho Man was ahead of every classic wrestler in his time. I look at Cena, Orton, The Miz, and other wrestlers these days and how they cut promos and they suck. Macho Man's promos could even be considered top-quality next to these guys today.
Good Touching Video Man! i was in tears the second I Found Out about his passing He was one of many favorite Wrestlers Growing up as well im 22yrs old and VHS tapes and watching SuperStars with Grandma (r.i.p) she the one who showed me Hogan Warrior and Savage back in the day in it was my Addiction and as of today still is....WWE now is tearing me apart and TNA....Impact Wrestling (Lets Not Go There)! R.I.P Savage!
I first found out in the afternoon on Friday. I was with my brother and my girlfriend sitting outside near a forest preserve lake. My friend texted me that Macho Man died and I couldn't even believe it. Then when I got home and saw it, I cried. I watched Macho Man matches and listen to his themes. It hit me ever hard and I always hate reading news like that. I still can't believe he is gone. I honestly never had a Slim Jim in my life but I will go out and get one now in honor of Macho Man.
On Thursday Afternoon I was watching 5 or 6 old classic-funny backstage promos with Savage & Mean Gene Oakland & they made me laugh & I wanted to learn more about Savage's work.
Then on Friday Morning to turn my PC on & find out what just happened to him on I felt wired & was proper shocked & could not believe it as I watched him randomly the previous day. Talk about the timing. What a coincidence.
=( Snapping into a Slim Jim will never be the same again Macho Man Randy Savage was awesome I didnt grow up watching all of his matches and his career but I knew a lot about him still R.I.P Randy Savage
I grew-up in the Late-90's WWF Attitude Era watching people like Luna Vachon, Test, Crash Holly, "Dr.Death" Steve Williams, Public Enemy, Owen Hart, Brain Pillman & many more. So I never really watched or knew Randy Savage as much as these 1980's kids apart from flicking the channel to watch WCW in the Monday Night Wars.
But when I found-out on Friday Morning Savage passed-away it still shocked me. RIP
I know what you mean, Doug. It blew me away when i heard the news. I first didn't believe it, and didn't want to. I remember to this day when Savage first came into WCW and cut a promo on Hogan, and I was instantly hooked from that day till his release. Macho Man will forever live in all of Pro Wrestling fan's hearts.
This is one of the first time that you see Doug as a man and not just a internet wrestling shooter. Great video. Not because it was sad and bout macho man, but because it showed real true human emotion. RIP Macho Man..
As sad/unfortunate as it is that Macho Man died at during his lifetime he touched millions of peoples lives, traveled the world, entertained people of all ages, and will be considered legend of professional wrestling forever. You're right, Macho Man's promos still hold up today, and not many people can say that, especially during that more cartoonish era of wrestling.
@pilotboy500 Why is that funny? So seeing him wrestle live gives you more of a right to feel saddened that he died? So someone who saw him wrestle live one time has more of a right to be a fan than someone who grew up watching him on TV every single week? If you are really 61 like your profile says you sound like one of those angry old men that is constantly saying "back in my day" I think you're just bitter because your dick doesn't work anymore.
i dont see him posting a vid about how great hogan was in tna... Because.. Well.. He is not great in tna.. Tna is a washed up company.. Macho man didnt need to continue... Hogan did
Macho Man and the Madness will always live on with all his true fans..
I'm just sad alot of the people on here don't remember alot of his matches..and only remember most of his WCW matches..but to remember Savage is to remember him in the WWF.....
How big of a Macho Man fan was I? My HS graduation in '99, when the band was playing Pomp & Circumstance during our class' entrance, I was walking in spinning doing all the Savage mannerisms.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you need to let your childhood go man. I was the biggest savage fan back in the day but jesus christ man. ur 28. pro wrestling shouldnt be such a high priority for you. let it go dude.
seeing the story of macho man, u believe tht there is a heaven. u believe tht he and elizabeth are getting wedded right now at the pearly gates. he was such a character u believed what was dreamed was reality. the greatest personality wrestling fans have ever witnessed, heard and seen, MACHO MAN RIP
I think the weirdest feeling i had when i heard he passed away was that, i felt suddenly old. it was as if he was really immortal or something, sounds crazy. but it was like a reality check
This vid really hit home to me... I watched the tribute you guys had up and all I got was flashbacks to where I was a little kid (maybe 4-5) playin with HIS action figure(in my underwear lol) in front of the TV watchin him...
Its crazy how hes gone bro. Just anotger Icon that made the business spectacular gone again. It truly goes to show how important and just how close these guys were to us growing up. Always heros man R.I.P. Macho.
It was very Shocking for me too. I couldn't believe it. I remember when Owen Died i took that hard as well.

R.I.P. Randy Savage.

Macho Man dying makes me hope that there is a heaven.
StewartLucrative 9 months ago
@pilotboy500 Why is that funny? So seeing him wrestle live gives you more of a right to feel saddened that he died? So someone who saw him wrestle live one time has more of a right to be a fan than someone who grew up watching him on TV every single week? If you are really 61 like your profile says you sound like one of those angry old men that is constantly saying "back in my day" I think you're just bitter because your dick doesn't work anymore.

I totally understand how you feel, Doug. Macho man was one of my favorites I grew up with too.

How big of a Macho Man fan was I? My HS graduation in '99, when the band was playing Pomp & Circumstance during our class' entrance, I was walking in spinning doing all the Savage mannerisms.
