@fdsdh1 if you run Vista on a XP based system with a single core processor and 2GB ram. I wouldn't be surprised you got an error. However I've runned Vista on a XP PC with 2.5GHz Duel Core and 6GB Ram and it ran just good. It ran even better on a Vista computer with 8GB ram and 3GHz Duel Core. Never had problems, except it bluescreened when I overused ram

@SMGJohn You'll get better performance out your hardware on Windows 7. From Vista to Win7 I got about a 10 FPS increase in most games and it ran increditably fast. I also use 3ds max to render and it uses all my 8gig no problems.

@evidesmc Yeah well I know that, Windows 7 is a refined version of Vista merely a massive patch in other words. But I'm just trying to prove Vista wasn't that bad if you knew how to use it. Most people usually install a shit load of crap on their computer and blame it on Vista, it was same problem with XP. Therefore it is smart to split the hardware, one part for Vista and the other for all the programs etc. This is unnecessery on Windows 7 however.

@SMGJohn Thing here is most XP's problems were fixed quickly. Vista still runs slower than both XP and Win7 and has more instability and incompatibility issues which is mainly why people give it a bad name.

@evidesmc On my computer XP ran sloppy and was instable. Well it was in 2007 when drivers stopped releasing for XP a few continued but mostly it was for Vista. I guess that's one of the reasons why I never got to experience unstability of Vista. Altrough XP ran faster in games it crashed more often

When Vista was released, it was pure garbage, a total resource hog, drivers were mostly nonexistent and UAC drove the average user up the wall. After a couple service packs Vista is very similar to 7 these days, but 7 remains the superior OS.

XP isn't that bad. If I had to choose between XP or vista, I would probably have to use Vista. Yeah there were/are glitches, but even XP has glitches. That being said though, I would prefer Windows 7 over XP or Vista any day. I've yet to have a major issue with Windows 7. The only thing I would change is the fact that I can't organize my files the way I want to just by clicking and dragging them around. I have to rename them so they can be arranged according.

@DutchVictim I know you weren't serious but in case you're interested I'm not sure that would even work. Last Flash update for Win 95 is probably too old. I have an old computer with Win 98 (don't use it very often, but it works) and Youtube videos don't work that well anymore. They still played last time I checked though (maybe 6 months ago) but only one or two frames per second. Youtube wanted me to update to a later version of Flash but I already had the latest release for Win 98 :P
