Surya totally deserved this award. Vaaranam Aayiram will remain one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. I remember crying when watching it. Still makes me cry whenever I come across it on TV.

Vikram started in 1990. Surya's the last one who started in 1997. But Surya has the highest growth in the industry when compared to the others since they came relatively much earlier.

In 2004, Vijay was number 1. In 2005, Vikram, Surya and Rajni ruled. In 2006, Kamal ruled. In 2007 Karthi and Rajini ruled. In 2008, Kamal and Surya ruled. In 2009 Surya is the only number 1. Its never gonna be the same every year. It WILL change. why cant you accept that 2009 belonged to Surya? Ask anyone, Surya ruled 2009, like how Vijay ruled 2004. in 2010, it will be someone else.

No, Ajith and Vijay both started their career in 1992.
Vikram started in 1990. Surya's the last one who started in 1997. But Surya has the highest growth in the industry when compared to the others since they came relatively much earlier.

Ajith must have completely gone MAD to miss GHAJINI so that he could do that crapped up JI. Did you know Ajith was meant to do Nandha as well, but he left at the beginning of shooting. As for Kaakha Kaakha, Vikram rejected it first, then Ajith rejected it. Thats 3 times that Ajith missed 3 blobkbuster movies. Ajith doesnt seem to have any brains.

Ramana has acted in telugu movie.. He had done 3 telugu movies aft tirumalai.. Nobody knows prabu deva s dir.. Only aft pokiri.. Everybody knows abt him in tamilnadu.. Perarasu s best or worst.. Is not ma arguement.. All vijaykanth films r comedies.. K.. Vijay has given life to dir from poor family.. Who had taken more than 7 films now...

Ramana - the director that gave ultimate flop AATHI?? where is he now?? nowhere, not a single hit after aathi.
And prabhu Deva was already a director, pokkiri was his 3rd film, and his recent Villu was pure crap.His telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenodantana was 100x better. Prabhu Deva was noticed in the industry because of this telugu movie, not because of his remade pokkiri.
Perarasu is one of the worst director of tamil cinema (remember that bullet scene with vijaykanth?)

Jus completed 25 films.. But joined wit all famous dir.. Bala,ks,gautam,amir,manirathnam,murugadas... And saying tat movie s hit ah.. If any hero joins wit these legends.. Movie ll be hit.. Most of hits due to haris music.. Is tis great? Or combinin wit new dir and vijay antony.. Giving a hit?vetaikaran.. Which s great?..

The only reason directors like Bala, KS, Gowtham, Mani Ratnam, Murugadass work with Surya is because he can ACT and perform well..why dont any of the leading directors want to work with Vijay?? because they know that he CANT act..only new directors are working with him, and give him consecutive flops like ATM, Villu, Kuruvi etc.

i dont understand why you guys say 'mass', as we've seen previously, nowadays 'mass' doesnt do anything...vijay has mass, that is acceptable, he gets a super opening, but he can sustain that, and ends up giving a flop. People like good movies like Nadodigal, UPO, Pasanga, Eeram, Ayan, Kanden Kadhalai - do any of these have 'mass' actor?? NO
Mass is useless nowadays. we want CLASS and QUALITY. we dont want any dappa low class masala films, like Pichaikaran.(i meant Vettaikaran)

We understand that you are vijay/ajith/etc fan, thats acceptable, everyone is entitled to their opinion. BUT there is no need to insult others in such a disrespectful manner. And those who encourage it should be ashamed too. I dont see what pleasure you're getting out of it. Don't you feel bad when you insult others who havent even done anything wrong?
BTW, i am not a Vijay/Surya/Vikram/Dhanush/etc fan. i am a fan of Good Indian Cinema.
You can be one too, instead of hero-worshipping...peace.

Surya kulla koodhi....wearing a high-heel shoe,and still not matching the height of Tabu....ha ha ha ha ha ha......Chotu is lucky to get an award for a mokka film like varanam ayiram.....Kamal should have got it for Dasavatharam....
