  • Who cares if it was a Gay Joke? You think being Gay is normal or something? If you except homosexuality as being normal then you are stupid and a politically correct imbecile!!! Homosexuals are freaks of nature and they have NO RIGHTS in the eyes of any sain person!

  • @gtazcom YOU are the stupid one. For starters, your beliefs are seriously outdated and there is no reason to hate ANYONE! You are likely a bible thumper, who uses that book as proof you are right, but where in the bible does it say it's ok to hate? Also, it's "accept" not except, and "sane", not sain. Your knowledge of the english language coincides with your knowledge of right from wrong.

  • @gtazcom What a fucking typical hillbilly response. Your ignorance is showing you fucking moron.

  • @Phillysoc I'm sorry, did you say the word Ignorance and the word Moron? Take a look at your last statement and think real hard.... BAHAHAHAHA.........

  • IT WAS GREAT TO SEE HIM HAVE FUN ON STAGE AND MAKE PEOPLE LAUGH. IT WASNT A GAY JOKE, THEY WERE JUST HAVING FUN, WHO HASNT MADE GESTURES LIKE THAT IN A CROWD OF FRIENDS TO MAKE THEM LAUGH. IT WAS QUITE ENTERTAINING AND IT MADE ME LAUGH.ELVIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

  • his concerts were so much fun....he was the consummate performer....

  • He always had a great time playing around with the words on this song with Charlie. Notice he said "I'ma kill you, Charlie" 'cause Charlie always tried to break him up and always succeeded. :)

  • WHAT happened...I saw him 25 days before this--from a front row seat--and he didn't look like this----at all. Clearly something was wrong.

  • @mieleD His weight was fluctuating by anything up to 8 or 9 pounds in a day, due to fluid retention problems, so he could look dramatically different even from one show to the next. A photo taken at the front gate of Graceland only a few hours before his death showed him not looking puffy at all at that stage... looked quite good really...

  • Charlie had had fun. But this no good moment even. If Elvis Presley hadn't been in the world Charlie Hodge could have never been ...

  • This is awesome, Elvis was having a great time on stage, Charlie was a talented guy too. His voice went hand in hand with Elvis' Oh the harmonies

  • TREMENDOUS!! I cant believe that I have never seen this before...this is just freakin great!! Thought I had seen everything there is too see and hear w Elvis...how wonderful it is to discover something new!! Thank you for posting!

  • Elvis was a good sport and took jokes well.

    Charlie knew that.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • @GeorgeVreelandHill Agree and if someone can't find that funny, they don't have a sense of humor......

  • What an honour it was to have met Charlie so genuine and had so much time for Elvis fans you are both so missed!!

  • Very FUNNY, I love ELVIS humor, he is a natural comedian , You can see how much respect and love Charlie has for Elvis, I am glad , at least Elvis found a real true friend in his group. Thanks for posting, I enjoy watching this video.

  • What is he actually saying?

  • tHIS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE VERY BEST OF THE FUN SIDE OF e AND cHARLIE . tHEY WERE ALWAYS A BUNCH WHO BELIEVED IN HAVING FUN , PLAYING PRANKS BUT EVEN IN THOSE DAYS YOU HAD TO BE CAREFUL OR THE CENSORS WOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY WITH YOU. ELVIS AND CHARLIE HAD A GREAT FRIENDSHIP AND CHARLIE WAS ONE MAN I KNOW THAT HE TRULY DID CARE AND DID LOVE ELVIS . THEY WERE THE BEST OF FRIENDS DIAMOND JOE PRETENDED TO BE AND HE DID HIS JOB I DO GIVE HIM CREDIT FOR THAT BUT HIS TRUE COLORS FINALLY SHOWED. HUGS B

  • He may have been a little overweight, but still greats...and who said that he was singing to a guy who was/is gay...what is wrong with that....gay straight has nothing to do with this....that isn't a straight or gay song......it is a song...and form the Elvis...

  • this joke is funny

  • oh i love to see elvis laugh

  • He was a wonderful Man that this world lost.

  • laughed all the way through, thanks for sharing!

  • greattttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lmfao

  • this was one of his last shows. Filmed June 18, 1977. His last concert was in Indianapolis on the 26th

  • i can't understand it, someone tell me what he is saying. too many stupid people screaming.

  • 230 at his heavest, sure in 77 thats a little chubby but compared to 2011 thats thin for most americians, he wasnt fat.

  • @1939PlymouthRatRod Really 230??? I thought he was over 300 at heaviest? Serious.

  • @chainsawchips Nope. Far from 300. A man said to be 6'3" tall is fat at 230????? Pisses me off. He was SICK. He is simply bloated from all the meds.

  • @PattyP123 Naw, I'll split it with ya. I'll believe 260. And he was 6' not 6'3". ...and he looked fat.

  • Comment removed

  • @1939PlymouthRatRod I believe his pre-autopsy weight was 233. He may have been about 260 in 1976 but had slimmed down considerably after that.

  • @1939PlymouthRatRod Dude, he was well over 300 at his heaviest.

  • wow, elvis really was having a great time on stage. so awsome to watch him respond to the crowd. if you didnt get the joke between charlie and elvis then s o l

  • He was one in a trillion.

He captivated humanity like no one other than the True King.

But I don't get the "gay" thing. Where was the joke?

  • Ele parece estar se divertindo. Gostaria muito que alguém traduzisse pra mim.

    Eu amo este homem!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sahane!!!!

  • What gay joke? They were having fun! Oh no it wasn't fun, he made a gay joke and now I'm offended! Why do you have to mention Gay joke at all? Let's move on.

  • @jimbamboozled get off your high-horse. They were playing around with the verses to this song. Grow up!

  • yes it was funny

  • do you gays at your doorstep and picture me there lol

  • i cant believe no one told him how bad he looked toward the end.....well they had to eat i guess.

  • @OBGillis How stupid you are for saying that! WOW! So nobody ever has to wonder why nobody ever told YOU that you are an idiot, I will do it...."YOU ARE A BLITHERING IDIOT". There.

  • Bless his heart,2 months until he died.Elvis gave so much to his fans,no other performer has ever been as generous and loving as Elvis :( He shouldn't have been pushed to do this darn tour. The "Colonel" no longer cared about Elvis just about the money.

  • Nice to see a light moment like this so close to the end...Elvis as plays his Martin D28 guitar..

  • Hilarious! Thanks for posting. I always have a giggle when I watch this.

  • cant hear what hes saying... stupid people, whos screaming through it...

  • hard to believe he'd be dead in sixty days :(

  • this dooche is calling elvis gay on stage!! go fudge youre self

  • That was Hilarious

  • @estuspirkle next time u call elvis drug crazed pig to elvid just look to your mother cause she is a slut and your father looks retarded like u so f...kc u

  • @estuspirkle go fuck yourself

  • @estuspirkle joke's on you - you clicked hear to view it. If you enjoy ANY kind of music at all, get on your knees now and worship Elvis! Before Elvis there was nothing! So sayeth Lennon :) And by the way, while you're on your knees suck a cock. G'day fag.

  • @estuspirkle

The joke's on you if you don't 'get' Elvis.

The guy was ill here, but in the previous 23 years he had made rock history, and paved the way for others.

    Respect.

  • @estuspirkle That's not a very nice thing to say.Your going to infuriate people by saying such things.I guess that's why you do it,huh? But see the sad part is is that you reference Elvis as that and yet you used your time to watch him.

  • Charlie's gone too, but he had a great life because he was with Elvis.

  • It was a well-kept secret that Hodge loved Elvis. Not even Elvis knew.

  • lol,its Charlie Hodge and he was one of Elvis's best friends. He may not have knew it was coming, but he played it in the show.I could kick myself in the ass cause i met Charlie at a place called Memories in Tenn,.He was performing and a look alike was doing elvis. It was a good show.

  • @35hankypanky that's a great show. I live in Knoxville and went to see the show a few times in 2002 and 2003. Charlie had some great stories! By the way , Memories is still in the same place!

  • LoL. I think it was unrehearsed. Elvis was laughing so hard he couldn't sing. LoL LoL

Holy Hell my sides hurt rofl.

  • Great friends since the army...R.I.P. both of them.

  • Thanks JohnnyGGN :D

  • That is funny... so good to see Elvis and Charlie sharing a laugh.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Great! LOVE to see them two laughing...What does Elvis say at 1:30...something Charlie??? anyone catch it???

  • @PinerinFla "I`m gonna kill you, Charlie"

  • @PinerinFla sounds a bit like "Please, Charlie!"

  • Kansas City, June 18, 1977.....

  • Hilarious!

    ELVIS was the perfect entertainer.

    Thank you, ELVIS!

  • @kaymo211

    You ARE missing it !

  • cant believe he is gone, after all these years I still hurt. my childhood died that summer of 77. I was only 10 but I remember when we heard the news.

  • @glynamus I Know I know but we humans can be mislead & sometimes and we also make mistakes. Nobody's perfect and death sometimes can result of being mislead and making mistakes too. Notice how often that happens and you'd think we'd learn from noticing &/or witnessing it, but life doesn't teach the lessons soon enough, or good enough, I would suppose ?

  • THe HAG said it best, "We loved him to death"!

  • Too funny.....it's this side of Elvis, that endeared him to his audience. Such a shame that he left so soon......

  • Thats all it was , a joke, neither were gay , done just for a laugh

  • he is like a old eminem like that was rap back then ha nd like he was poor from a black hood

  • I finally got the joke. Yes, Elvis did have a great sence of humor.

  • Thanks for ruining youtube!

  • LOL...toooooooooooooo funny!! LOVED IT!!!

  • great show great sound jesus please take care of our elvis! amen

  • God this is funny!

  • Charlie Hodge, scarves and water.

  • @arizonabay15

Charlie Hodge sang and played guitar also. It's his voice you can hear harmonizing with Elvis on a lot of Elvis' recordings.

    Read the books.

Better still, listen to them singing together, by looking for Elvis I Will be Home Again.

  • what if elvis turned around and says WHY DONT YOU SHUT UP LOL! :P

  • what an asshole! don't fuck with the king!

  • This ELVIS fan thanks you for downloading this funny concert clip!

  • Haha, that was funny.

    Miss ya Elvis.

  • You can see by the expression on Elvis' face in the beginning of the video that he did not know what the people where laughing at until he looked directly at the guy holding the microphone. Then he realized what was going on.

  • I wonder if Elvis really knew this guy was going to do that? Elvis has such a good sence of humor.

  • @msegur01 maybe maybe not.elvis and charlie were always pulling jokes on each other on stage.they were good friends, met while in the army together

  • @msegur01 elvis and charlie always goofed around with songs like this. they were best friends theyw ould play off of each other.

  • Now that was funny! Love it.

  • The King!

    FANTASTIC!!

  • LOL.SORRY I KNOW IM SLOW!!

  • This is funny, but I wish you would change the title so it doesn't imply that Elvis was the one doing the horsing around joking at gays---even as good-spirited as it was.

  • i dont get it...weres the joke?

  • I'm sorry for you!

  • @theElvisZone

Y yo lo siento por ti si conoces solamente un idioma...!

  • @eutuveMusic Sólo sé una lengua que se sienta :))

  • @theElvisZone

    que quieres decir.?

I am sorry for you..I didn't understand your reply ..

    By the way " yo se" = I know ... not : " I sé " as you wrote..

  • @cassyBITCH19

You have GOT to be kidding !!!!!

  • @estuspirkle

What? I can't understand you over billions of Elvis fans screaming.

  • @estuspirkle SHUT THE HELL UP HE WASNT A DRUG-CRAZED PIG! HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST ENTERTAINER IN THE WORLD!!!!

  • @estuspirkle What are YOU watching him for then? Oh i know you didn't have to pay!!!! GO AWAY, this video is for his fans. WE KNOW HOW GREAT HE WAS.

  • @cassyBITCH19 It's not rocket science, better watch it over

again (Hint: Watch Charlie Hodge (the guy holding the mike)!

  • @cassyBITCH19 Well, you certainly live up to your name, bitch. :)

  • @cassyBITCH19 i mean no disrespect to Elvis but i think it's the fact he looks like an overweight Liberace

  • @cassyBITCH19 Watch Charlie's move's with Elvis and listen to the word's of the song then you will get it. It is so hilarious.

  • @cassyBITCH19 he was singing to a guy that was/is gay

  • @johnvdm13

    Charlie Hodge was not gay...

  • @johnvdm13 how would he know out of all the crowd the guy was gay?

  • @rosechris48 It was Elvis and the guy holding the microphone who were engaging in the joke. No one had to know if anyone was or wasn't gay, because neither were.

Charlie (holding the mike) was being the funny guy, with Elvis supposed to be the "straight" man (in comedy terms... not sexuality terms). They used to play off each other all the time. Charlie considered it part of his job to make Elvis laugh... and usually succeeded.

  • @johnvdm13 charlie wasnt gay at all they were goofing off as they always have with this osng and many other songs

  • Awesome!

  • That was great!!!

  • Loved That, Elvis Had A Good Sense Of Humor And Love To Mess About 5*******

  • Both were gret cutups....Elvis could have been a comedienne and of course, eventually Charlie made a living as one atg Memeories Theatre. they could have been a Lewis and Martin if they had wanted.

  • a great share...straight to my favs...!!!

  • Thanks for sending me this very nice and funny video!

  • You oughta stop ..... LOL ..... "Are You Lonesome, Tonight?" was seldom, if ever, done seriously live. There was always some sort of playing around with the song. By the way, did you notice how deafening was the audience when Elvis would step onto the stage? How could anybody perform with such disturbance? Just one more example that Elvis Presley is quite an entertainer.

  • brilliant!

  • So funny and great!

Elvis and Charlie they both were Fantastic!
