  • Jewel Staite <3

  • I wish Nick still made shows that were this good. I miss shows like this and Hey Dude.

  • I have never seen the show when I was growing up in the 90's or I don't remember it. Nevertheless, it's good to see something that's pretty entertaining and (HELLO!!) the original Black Ranger! haha

  • I've always loved Catalina's hair. She was my favorite character and I named my boxer after her. ^_^ I totally wanted to be just like her. >.>; I kind of had a crush on Radu.

  • Wow, so I just rediscovered this show on the 90s were all that tonight.... I can't believe I forgot about this, apparently I thought this was just a long ass power rangers movie because of Zack from power rangers! ahahah! Then when I saw it, it all came back, that robot, that troll looking dude. Ahhh memories. I need a time machine.

  • OH WOW! I totally remember Rosie trying to open a book as a kid. XD

  • too bad radu's fuggly

  • lol @ Lights Out at 4:39

  • That intro... omg

  • yeaaah yeaaah yeaaaah yeaaaahhhhhhhh yeaaaaahhhh..... yeaaaaahhhhh

  • That part where Catalina came in dancing and going all "Zabaggazees" made me laugh as a kid. XD

  • Shelby Woo has recently been resurrected on iTunes, so maybe there is hope for this show as well.

  • radu was the mr.spock of my people- the 90s kids!

  • omg i remember this episode! This is when nickelodeon was awesome. Whenever I ask someone if they remember this show they look at me like im crazy! Im glad I found it on here

  • @SugaRee72 dude i know exactly what your talking about... i posted this on my facebook and i wrote..."see im not fucking crazy this show did exist"

  • @dunkinking Yes! I totally thought I made this shit up as well...

  • If you want the episodes of Space Cases on DVD--please subscribe to my channel, and I'll email you the 'Petition' link. Just make sure you mention the reason you subscribed! Thank you!

  • Dawwwww Rosie, you so cute.

  • I want this show on DVD now. But, alas, Viacom has a track record for making no moves in getting classic Nick shows on DVD, like wrapping up Pete and Pete, or Alex Mack, or Space Cases.

  • What kind of dope would toss a perfectly good Earth bear into space she asks?

    JMS, that's who

  • @Martintheauthor What does JMS stand for?

  • @cbsteffen J. Michael Stryzynski(too lazy to look it up) creator of the show Babylon 5, the same show in which this bear was airlocked and floated through space.

  • books are like compupads (ipad) but with paper ahead of their time

  • "as gir" i love this show

  • i loved this show and I am glad to know I am not alone. I think I was the only one who watched nickelodeon when I was in JR high... everyone else watched MTV...

  • No, you weren't the only one that watched Nickelodeon when you were in Jr. High. I didn't stop watching Nickelodeon full time until I was 15. As a matter of fact, I watched MTV a lot more when I was even younger.

  • how come intro songs to shows dont explane them anymore?

  • Oh man! I was hoping the theme song would be attached to the episode. Way better then the 'narration' version.

  • there is such a version?

  • Some episodes feature 'the sog', while others have a more traditional 'narration into intro music', which Im not the biggest fan of, myself.

  • No, he was and will always be The first Black Ranger. Except for, you know the Japanese guy before him. To answer your question he was on MMPR before this.

  • You know whenever I see these old show on Nick, and old 90's shows in general I always hear people say they were the best. Now I happen to agree but I'm not sure if that's child POV bias. When your a kid almost everything that is good seems great!. Are there any people who grew up with earlier generation kid shows and thought those were better? Or is it that current kids TV really is drivel? I'd like to hear from people that grew up watching shows from before or after the 90's

  • I actually agree with you there, it seems to us that the 90's stuff was the best because that's what we grew up with. I can guess that's how people from other decade childhoods reacted to our stuff as well. It's all really funny when you look at it. Soon we'll have the 2000's kids complaining of what 2010 may bring! Really funny stuff, folks, really funny stuff...

  • despite the cheesy theme it was a good show sucks nick canciled it after only two seasons

  • how come suzee is in the opening credits? She doesn't show up till much later and up until then everyone thinks she's imaginary

  • After the show was canceled, they changed the intro for the first season. I also want to mention that they canceled the show because teens and adults liked the show too, and Nickelodeon wanted to make a show more for kids rather than for all ages.

  • are you serious thats just stupid then again explain why invader zim was canciled

  • It was too offensive for kids.

  • what I was never offended and i was like nine

  • Then you're an exception.

  • (turns she hulk)

  • how was it offensive

  • I don't know. I never watched that show. I just read somewhere that it was offensive.

  • I was in my teens when I saw it and I can see how younger kids could have been disturbed. Remember when Zim's robot tore out Keef's eyeballs? Or when Zim was removing and consuming all the other kids organs? I guess their justification made sense, but come on- it was Jhonen Vasquez! What did they expect?!

  • God this show takes me back, I miss the good nick shows

  • Yeah, nobody seems to like Nickelodeon anymore nowadays.

  • Doesn't Catalina remind you of "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"? I mean the rainbow hair, plus her outfit in this episode. Man, she was awesome! I had quite a crush on her when I was young. Sad that she, along with all other 90's goodness, is gone... The only thing in my life now that keeps her memory alive is the similarities of her in "Dreamcoat", too bad I have yet to be in a production of it :'(

  • Ha gone? She came back to us in another an even better sci fi show a.k.a Firefly. More mature but still lovable. I still have a crush on Ms. Staite.

  • awwe i love Radu :)<3 "I heard that!"

  • Man Nick needs to come out with a collector set dvds of their old shows consisting of Space Cases, Are you Afraid of the dark (although this can be in it's own season since there were 5) Doug, and My Brother and Me. What a collection!

  • i totally agree with u

  • they were going to release alot of old Nick shows to DVD, only Pete & Pete got released, then the rights changed hands and the idea was scrapped

  • That's too bad!

  • Who had the rights before and which hands were they changed?

  • I'm not sure, I believe that Viacom had it first, the information should be on the Pete & Pete (as it was the only classic Nick show to make it to DVD) wiki

  • "Clarissa Explains it All" also made it to dvd as well at the same time as "Pete & Pete", and "Ren & Stimpy" was released independently from Nickelodeon.

  • at 4:40 Rosie play Lights Out . I still have mine, its sitting at my desk as I type this. LOL , 1995 kicked ass.

  • The Saturn girl is on LSD

  • agreed

  • We had the best kids shows in the 90s.

  • Yes we sure did too bad the kids these days wont be able to see the shows we grew up with

  • @candyj9 Amen to that!!

  • They must use Kindles.

  • what r kindles?

  • Why do I get the feeling that 7:20 is how it'll be in a few years?

  • Ahhh takes me back!!!!

  • such a great theme song!

  • Poor Radu. . . the worst things happen to the best people

  • "bag-a-beez-a-bag-a-beez-a-bag-a-beez-a-bag-a-beez!!!"

    lulz, catalina was awesome!

  • When I was like 5, I watched space cases, and I thought she was saying

A Bag of Beans! A Bag of Beans!

    x]

  • Za Ba Ga Be was actually a Bill Mumy reference, as is Catalina's most frequently-used "choice word," Grozit.

  • @demi103 lol I thought thats what Cat was saying that too then I thought she was saying "The Bagabees" like one of those neighborhood family last names.

  • "I've got to do something!" *runs into door*

    "Interesting choice."

  • Thanks for posting!! I haven't seen this in 12 years and I still somehow remember all these.

  • I think this is the best lame theme song EVER!! Although I remembered the words really differently. Haha, I've had pieces of it stuck in my head off-and-on for like, ten years, haha.

  • There were two or three theme songs. You might be thinking of a different one.

  • OMG i remember watchin this as a kid...thanx for putting these up!

  • yes back in the good old day.

  • stupid andromedans

  • rosie is adorable omg. so cute

  • she reminds me of Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender.

  • i liked the episode i saw here yesterday when it was garbled so i could read a fuckin book instead

  • This show was like Farscape for children, years before Farscape came out.

  • This was one of the best show that nick had on in the 1990's.

  • I don't know why, but even with this intro, you don't see much of Catalina, and tons of Suzee...its kinda sad actually...I loved Catalina...

  • I wanted hair like Catalina's when I was little.

  • @mothertiger333 As did I! :D

  • @mothertiger333 Matter of fact...I still do! ;3

  • @mothertiger333 I wanted CATALINA when I was little XD.

  • @xxxslash616xxx Me too. When I was a kid, I used to make up in my mind these fanfiction stories in which I'd be a new character who joins the crew and eventually becomes Catalina's love interest!

  • @Adamguy2003 holy shit me too, i wanted to join the crew and get catalina to want my ass lol

  • I used to know the theme song by heart when i was little lol

  • Yes Suzee did become real in season two. If you can remember at the end of season one Catalina gave her life for the crew and then Suzee came in. That was one of the sadest moments on Snick.

  • Well, Catalina didn't really die.

  • Catalina and Suzee were "programmed" to be on the same wavelengths with their brains..hence why she looks at "her" when they are talking. When Catalina is held hostage by Warlord Spung, the ship blows up that they're on, but she traded dimensions with Suzee, so now Catalina was the "invisible friend" to Suzee, but wasn't used in that sense, only appearing in 1 episode, "Long Distance Calls."

  • I don't care how cheesy it looks now, this was one of my favorite shows when I was like, seven :P I wanted Catalina's hair so bad.

  • yeah I remember the INTRO lyrics saying somthing like "catalina' smarter than a million books" but this intro is differnt from what I can remember. Dont even ask me how I remember that part of the song. hAHA

  • It was "Suzie's smarter than a million books," when we got to the 2nd season. After the show got to the second season, or long-enough in, they took the song intro, reworked it, and put it onto replays in post-production for replays like this.

  • oh my gosh! I loved this show when I was younger. thanks for putting them up! great.

  • HAHAHA! I love the bear in-joke. ^_^

  • Remember that B5 was done by J. Michael Straczynski.

Now, go to the part in Part 2 of this where the android reveals the name of the evil aliens behind the nefarious plot. Listen carefully to that species name. ;-)

  • For those who don't know the in-joke behind this episode: series co-creator/co-writer Peter David had earlier written two episodes for the adult (as in for grownups, NOT as in pr0n) S-F TV series of the time, "Babylon 5,"

The first episode he wrote, #14 in Season 2, was entitled "There All the Honor Lies." Among other things, a merchandise shop opens on B5, with unexpected consequences.

The closing scene, involving a certain piece of merchandise, is here: v=SCbOmYJ7IU0 — see for yourself!

  • Why did this have to happen to Radu of all people? The nicest, most patient guy in the universe.

  • CarpeDiem118: Same reasons that things happen to Spider-Man. The cosmos has a sick sense of humor.

  • so basically that stuff that infects him or whatever makes him hallucinate

  • Yep. It also causes his body temperature to drop rapidly.

  • He's pretty much on drugs, haha.

  • Warning: this teddy bear contains LSD

  • This one scared the heck out of me when radoo went nuts.

  • i used to color my hair with magic marker to look like suzee. my mom didn't like that very much!

  • OH MY GOD. XD That thing that Rosie pushes at 4:40. That's some light puzzle toy. I forget what they're called... I have the EXACT same one. They remodeled it a little bit as a prop. XD That's ridiculous.

  • I had one too. It was like, some sort of matching puzzle.

  • Low budgets do that to you.

  • I had one, too. I think it was called Lights Out.

  • The object was to find the combination of buttons that would put out the lights. The prop appeared in Desperately Seeking Suzee as well.

And listen to how Rosie pronounces Outfit, it's very Canadian.

  • It's Lights Out.

  • o man i used to go crazy for this show, good times. thanks for posting it

  • Am I just going insane or did the lyrics say "Catalina's best friend Suzy isn't there," in one of the opening themes?! I haven't heard it in the season 1 or 2 openings so far and I feel like I'm losing it.

  • I remember that too but It's not in any of these videos

  • i dl'ed the videos and i finally found where they said it! it's in the ENDING theme song--it sounds almost exactly the same but the lyrics are very slightly changed.

  • yeah. she had an invisible friend. do you remember when her friend became real and tried to destroy her life?

  • lol that's not what happened :p

i have both seasons and just finished watching it lol

  • oh? so...i thought the friend became real they saw her and ...lol.

    im confused.

  • Catalina did have an invisible friend who became visible for season two. You can even see Suzee in the the intro here, since it's the updated version. From what I remember, Suzee never tried to destroy anyone though. She and Catalina just traded dimensions.

  • You can buy the seasons still??!

  • No, you can torrent them online. :)

  • It's "Catalina's best friend Suzee is anywhere."

  • that's not the right intro. That's like season 2 intro to a season 1 episode odd

  • wow..i havent seen this in years..lol i gotta watch it, ty

  • where did you get this with such good quality? thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much for posting an entire episode!!!!!!!!

  • Saturnarians seem like hippies to me...

  • yup. lol

  • yes they are lol. but they are peaceful =]

  • Omg, I'm not crazy, this show actually did exist...talk about revisiting childhood, why did they cancel shows like these?? These were the good shows...nowadays, there's nothing but crap on tv... they really need to bring the old school stuff back

  • the reason tv shows now suck is cause we grew up and grew out of these child like things. but still like the stuff we grew up with even though we're "too old"

  • Not EVERYTHING these days is crap. I was an ADULT when Space Cases was on, so I'm older than you. To me, the good old days is Rocky & Bullwinkle, The "New" Caspar Cartoon Show (B&W!), etc.

And I can say that one of the best TV shows of all time is still airing NEW episodes (well, hopefully soon — it's in hiatus right now), and it's on Nickelodeon, the SAME network that aired Space Cases.

AVATAR: The Last Airbender. Get the Book (Season) One Box Set.

  • I loved Rocky and Bullwinkle!!! Which is my point, they need to bring the old stuff back or if not, then they should make a 'old school' channel to put it on or something

  • You mean like Boomerang?

Seriously. Check out "Avatar." Best cartoon action/drama series ever made outside of Japan. Yes, better than the Paul Dini Batman series and its spin-offs including JLU. One of the best shows of ANY kind on TV.

  • lmao lol Catalina is on drugs

  • Cat and Suzee were pretty rainbow heads!!!

  • it's kaylee from firefly and elizabeth from general hospital!!!

it messes with my head so much! O_o

  • I've always been jealous of that tube system... I don't know why, but I remember as a kid that the tube system was the most awesome thing ever.

    .....hmm.

  • "I'VE GOT TO DO SOMETHING!!"

    *Run* *SMACK*

    "..Interesting choice!"

    I love that part xD

  • Oh man, this was my favorite show growing up.

  • It was a colourful show..literally.

  • I totally had a crush on Radu when I was a kid :)

  • me too! i was like so upset wen hardlong was an ass to him. :P

  • I had a crush on Bova. Now Harlan's my favorite when I watch it again, with Rosee as a close second- it just shows how we change as we grow up.

  • Yeah, me, too, tho I thought then that Bova wasn't too bad, either. Heh.
