Yes, I was. My first playthrough, so I didn't know the tatoos were mostly Dalish.  Still my favorite Origin in terms of emotional impact. I just went back and played DA:O again for the first time in forever-- still an amazing game.

And in response to your other comment, I LOVE Mordin. I laughed so hard at that bit (did you know his voice actor spent some time on the G&S stage?)

@Virrginia i have to agree this is an amazing game i just played for the first time back in Jan. but i didn't even give any thought to the tatoos the reason i ask was the ears, i really like how bioware portrayed elfs in this game,insted of being all high and mighty like in morrawin and oblivian they were persecuted and some what hated, also i have a city elf warrior

The only thing I hate about this is how it sounds nothing like her.

It's an amazing song and the sudden arrival of the scene out of nowhere is enrapturing.

But...the fact it sounds nothing like her, coupled with the fact she doesn't even vaguely look like she's singing the song kinda takes me out of the moment.

When I designed my first character in Dragon Age. She looked almost EXACTLY like Lelianna. When I got the scenes where you add her to your group, i wasn't sure if that was what she always looked like, or if the game was creating a twin for my character for some sort of subplot.
