Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence, People are People, Shake the Disease... basically any Depeche Mode song you can think of was written by Martin Gore after their first cheif songwriter, Vince Clark, quit the band. Suffer Well is the only well known Depeche Mode song written by Gahan.

The last 60-90 seconds is the sexiest imagery I've ever seen, because of his facial expression--you can see what he's thinking & it is HOTTER than any x-rated (tho this is g-rated) or R-rated video, IMHO. Him stripping off his shirt & showing his chest & tattoos is just a bonus! Pay attention to his EYES! Your thoughts?

@Cash2112 Gahan is the lead singer because he's the charismatic one. Martin Gore is the real genius behind this and all of their best songs. Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence, People are People, Shake the Disease... basically any Depeche Mode song you can think of was written by Martin Gore after their first cheif songwriter, Vince Clark, quit the band. Suffer Well is the only well known Depeche Mode song written by Gahan.

@ElizaKW And to be honest, as much as I like watching and listening to Gahan perform, if you've heard his solo work in comparison, and listen to Suffer Well, it's pretty clear why Gore never let him write any of the singles. Gahan is a performer... his talent is not in song writing.

agree all with one remark: Dave's voice is what got this band where it is not only charisma... Martin himself recruited Dave at early age when heard Dave playing Heroes by David Bowie. A lso in 1996 when Dave went overdose Martin thought to be the end of DM because he thought of him as irreplaceble.

@rachel23love Yes! On 3 or 4 of the videos on this DVD, he's this hot, long hair & facial, but this is the only one that we get to see him strip for us, OMG! I'm wearing a groove in the DVD I own, & now my LT is over-heating from too many replays ;-P heh heh
