I completely agree MrHollick. If you are out and about you should be, beyond any reasonable doubt, ready to be stopped and to comply with Law Enforcement. It is for their safety and yours and mine. If someone is traveling around with pot in their vehicle, I would expect them to comply with law enforcement and deal with their problem. I think the Deputy in the video mentioned is far more tolerant of his behavior than I would be. He should have complied, come clean, and been on his way.
A proponent of racial profiling? Dude. YOU LOSE. "Look like a terrorist?"

There ARE consequences to standing up for our rights. One of them will clearly be cops who get thwarted. Cops HATE that.
"People want to rebel against authority." Yes, they do. We call them cops. They HATE the Constitution. "You shouldn't be in a particular neighborhood because of HOW YOU LOOK or HOW YOU DRESS?" Dude, you ARE the problem.
Let me clarify my thoughts. I am not speaking for anyone that has commited any crime! As a law abiding citizen, I will excercise my rights and refuse to consent to a search without probable cause. The police will have to explain why they beleive I have committed a crime, conduct a search without consent, and answer for their actions in a court when I file a suit because they will find nothing.
MrHollick I think you are missing the point that cops are humans to. If there where no laws to prevent misuse of power, misuse of power would happen more often. Your line of though is such that you make it seem like cops are not human. Its the imperfection of humans that makes us need laws protect us from these imperfections. Why else would someone say its not wise to piss of a police officer? Because their human and they would react like most pissed of humans do...
@Lobos222 I will leave policing the police to Internal Affairs dept and the lawyers, otherwise I think they should go above and beyond to lock up anyone that is breaking the law!

The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Hey i*am with ya bro, round up all the japs and jews, send the blacks back to africa, the europeans to europe, the christians to heaven, the atheist to hell and give the true land owners, Native Americans their occupied land...
In your racially/religious/life style profiled world, as a fucked over, underprivileged poor kid, who steals a car that happens to have a body in the trunk, i*am going to prison for life, while the upper class white serial killer, who put the body there is free to kill your family, and as many good cops as they can, maybe getting caught 30 years down the road... Jack the Ripper was a beneficiary of such mistaken, righteous profiling.
You should get pulled over all the time becasue you look like a neo-Nazi white supremacist. I KNOW you aren't, but why in the hell would you have a shaven head like neo-Nazis do??
If a vehicle driver isn't obviously violating the law, he shouldn't be pulled over. If the cops want to check vehicle safety on the public roads, they should set up clearly defined stations and check EVERYBODY for compliance with vehicle safety regulations, not just the people whose appearances disturb them personally. Vehicle safety checks should never be a pretext for searches that exceed vehicle inspection needs. The courts were wrong to rescind traditional legal protection in these cases.
So everyone that shaves their head is a neo Nazi? even black people or just white people Samuel L Jackson has tattoos and a shaved head is he a nazi? Why are you racially profiling me? I though the whole point of all this nonsense is your all against profiling so why is everyone profiling me? even when you know thats not me hahah
I was walking down the road in my jeans, coat and tennis shoes at about 12:30 in the evening in my small town.
I had a cop circle around and pull up in front of me. He wanted to see my ID. He wanted to know why I was walking around at that time of night.
He then said that I was walking with some other people - and I told him that if he seen other people walking behind me, I didn't know about it and it scared me.
Did he offer to drive me home? No. He wasn't concerned about my welfare.
Second of all, I agree that people shouldn't break the law and then complain about getting caught. However, I don't believe that 'all' police officers act justly. I live in a big city and I see police abusing their power all the time, screaming at someone they pulled over, 7 police officers beating on a single, defenseless man, police using their sirens just to pass through red lights. I do trust cops to keep me safe, but i don't think all of them are on our side.
I completely agree that not all cops are here to keep you safe....example: my best friend was raped by a cop....then her and I were harassed for two years by cops trying to keep us from testifying!!!!
One time at the airport a guy was selected by his airline for extra screening,so when he got to the checkpoint, I told him what lane he would have to go to and he tells me that I was racially profiling him, I told him no, but could he please go stand behind the 5 honkeys in the extra screening lane. He just gave me weird look. Most of the time the airlines pick people who they want to have extra screening, before you even get to the checkpoint at the airport.
WOW!! yah i thought the same thing!! but hay he did what he did!! dundangbear! o will!! weed is illegal any way!! that why its better doing it at home! its funny this is the only video u made that u crusted in!! and yah that is F**ked up!
And I would gladly and politely submit to their searches because Ive nothing to hide, however if they violate any of my constitutional rights I would encourage my lawyer to sue them :)
They should also go right into your home searching for a weapons stockpile because you look like a white supremacist.
Its idiotic to put faith in profiling on race/looks alone. Sure its easy to spot drug addicts but the smart and most dangerous criminals bypass the law everyday by maintaining a good appearance. Your methods will only catch the type of criminal who does the least damage.
In regards to dangerous criminals with intent to perform terrorist acts I might agree with you to an extent. Some rights may have to be lost in the face of danger, hence the Patriot Act.
In regards to harmless hippy's driving down the road I believe its done for monetary purposes and an invasion of peoples rights. I do not support such action.
I have seen enough instances where someone was doing nothing wrong and the police were acting inappropriately. It has even happened to me. Do nothing wrong and just go about your lives? If the authorities *spit* want to make things difficult they will do so no matter if what you're doing is wrong or right...
With this whole profiling thing, I feel that searches and what not should be random. If we start going after people of Islamic belief at airports, it would start to seem that we're being racist and biased.
I support random searches of course however if they spot someone who is looking suspicious and has bloody shoes or gunpowder, fertilizer etc all over their jeans they should grab em :)
Not the Youtube spelling police. I crack up when they disagree with me. . And then see i've spelled a word wrong. and probably say to themselves I'll fix him i'll correct his spelling. Oh no! please don't correct my spelling.
Your right to a point. The dog smelled pot so he should pay the price. But the police can have huge ego's and think there better than you and just be super rude. I had tinted windows, the second from the lightest tint in other words useless. Didn'r reduce glare at all, He wasn't worried about me trying 2 hide something. Got stopped 2 times in 2 days. No doubt just 2 bust my balls. Got stopped in wisconsin my jeep didn't have mud flaps. I guess it wasn't a ticket type offense,. let me go.
looks like mrhollick lives in the land of mayberry north carolina -- where there are no blacks and everything is just happy! barney fife would never approve of this!
i dont agree with you. if i was black -- the police can pull me over for being just black? poor judgement on your part for supporting law enforcement profiling..
I completely agree MrHollick. If you are out and about you should be, beyond any reasonable doubt, ready to be stopped and to comply with Law Enforcement. It is for their safety and yours and mine. Let me paraphrase what this guy is saying:
1Waive your rights
2Confess to the police
3Go to court and plead guilty.
Then he goes on to use a "dead body" as an example, he compares alittle bag of pot to a murder, thats called coplogic.
Here's what you should do:
exercise your civil rights
1make no statements to the police
2refuse any searches
This way you can make them show, in court, that they had probable cause, and then have everything dismissed. You'll even get your bail money back.

Bear didn't have a dead body, he had a plant.
You should be searched often for guns and drugs because you are covered in ink.
OllieOxburg 2 years ago
And I would gladly and politely submit to their searches because Ive nothing to hide, however if they violate any of my constitutional rights I would encourage my lawyer to sue them :)
MrHollick 2 years ago
They should also go right into your home searching for a weapons stockpile because you look like a white supremacist.
Its idiotic to put faith in profiling on race/looks alone. Sure its easy to spot drug addicts but the smart and most dangerous criminals bypass the law everyday by maintaining a good appearance. Your methods will only catch the type of criminal who does the least damage.
OllieOxburg 2 years ago 10
Then you concede that profiling does catch certain types of criminals?
MrHollick 2 years ago
Certainly, but its unconstitutional.

Very well put Mr. Hollick, very well put. You hit the nail right on the head. 5*s.

I have seen enough instances where someone was doing nothing wrong and the police were acting inappropriately. It has even happened to me. Do nothing wrong and just go about your lives? If the authorities *spit* want to make things difficult they will do so no matter if what you're doing is wrong or right...
mehquig 2 years ago
Yes I agree with you, however there is a right way and a wrong way to seek satisfaction, you must play their game and beat them at it legally.
MrHollick 2 years ago
They don't just give you a ticket and let you drive away.
WanderingGnome 2 years ago
Of course they do.
MrHollick 2 years ago
With this whole profiling thing, I feel that searches and what not should be random. If we start going after people of Islamic belief at airports, it would start to seem that we're being racist and biased.
crimsong19 2 years ago
I support random searches of course however if they spot someone who is looking suspicious and has bloody shoes or gunpowder, fertilizer etc all over their jeans they should grab em :)
MrHollick 2 years ago
I see your point there. More vigilant airport security workers, perhaps?
crimsong19 2 years ago
Or more competent but we get what we pay for :)
MrHollick 2 years ago

I guess it wasn't a ticket type offense,. let me go.
roadamerica2008 2 years ago
Now WHAT were you doing driving around without mudflpas! hahaha :)

MrHollick 2 years ago
What are you talking about blacks for? Bundangbear is white. You must be profiling hahah
MrHollick 2 years ago
i dont agree with you. if i was black -- the police can pull me over for being just black? poor judgement on your part for supporting law enforcement profiling..
jimrileyhatersclub 2 years ago 7
Umm Bundangbear is white what are you talking about blacks for? seems like your profiling yourself :)
