This is the dumbest crap that I have ever seen! Just say thank you, you dingleberry! Another stupid campaign! Better yet, don't say ANYTHING, hey, I'm just doing my job!
And yes, I am a soldier, and I'm tired of people coming up with another 'campaign' to suck something else out of my service!
to me personally, and keep in mind its just my opinion but isnt this the land of the free and the home of the brave. so shouldnt we feel free and brave enough to thank a soldier with words. instead of a hand jesture. and nothin against deaf people i understand its part of sign language. and that hand jesture is made for deaf people. for us who are lucky to have a voice should use our voice to say thank you instead of hiding behind a hand jesture made for deaf people.
I think the point of this campaign is for those people who are too shy to actually open their mouths and say something. Not everyone can be an extrovert like us and this provides them a way.
I wonder why it is that there are 2 phrases we humans have a hard time saying to others? One is "I'm sorry" and the other is "Thank you". I want to say I'm sorry we've lost so many lives to all the different wars and Thank you to all the soldiers, past, present and future who have given their lives in death and in service to our country. We wouldn't be here without you. I love you one and all and pray for your safe return.
