  • The work that the Community Housing Partnership (CHP) does does is very important and they perform it so very well. They do it better than most if not all. I strongly support their mission and believe San Francisco is fortunate and lucky to have them.

    David Elliott Lewis, Ph.D.

  • So proud to be affiliated with this incredible organization. Amazing feedback and support—and awareness—from this piece.

  • When ever ask me what was being homeless like- I tell them to sit inside a card board box for three days in an alley with nothing to do and they will see for themselves. I went homeless in order to get out of the life I was living in. And it worked.

  • who dislike this cilp

  • aaawww :)

  • I have been in that position, the biggest thing you feel is shame.Fortunately here in Scotland it is against the law not to have a roof over your head,so i am getting back on track thanx to a similar organisation as this one.

  • @tiewebb hey just wondering, if it is against the law not to have a roof over your head what happens to all the people that lose their house to foreclosure?

  • @tiewebb That is a beautiful thing, I wish America was more like that there are too many locked out on the streets.

Keep you head up & no matter what never stop looking up and moving forward.

  • how can you even give this a thumbs down?

  • thats sad but beautiful to

  • They move alot when they sleep.

  • I watched this 10 times,I don't know why

  • i have been told that my ex-wife is a member there helping our son and I still in Florida with 15% unempolyment the soup kitchen i worked at as the head cook,

was closed down due to hurricane damaged

  • What is going on here ?

  • @TheDestroyerMeda a mom and her child from being not homeless to homeless and got help from the program and they went back to normal

  • Good commercial. Very effective.

  • :] very well-made.

  • I have heard nothing but great remarks about this..

  • thank god i was homeless too once

  • okay let us build

  • Nice

  • that was beautiful. simply beautiful

  • Well done.

  • very powerful message!

  • the kid never gets his own bed?

  • Very very happy *sniff*

  • loved it, really moving. nuff said.

  • Bed sheets from Ikea

  • Aww, the teddy bear :D

  • i dont get it

  • Aww, this makes me really sad.

  • Three words...Amazing.

  • very positive...i wish people would start loving and caring more and opening up their houses to more people if they had the room or give the people some money to rent a place 2 live...we can change the world for the bettter ;)

  • @hawtn3ss21 @proent I definitely agree with the loving and caring part, and maybe opening up their houses temporarily. But giving people money so they can pay rent (unless very temporarily) to me is not a good idea. It breeds laziness and entitlement. I have some family that has become so complacent abt work after having been on welfare for their entire life. It makes me sick. And when you do lend/give them money, what they take it for granted because they assume u r rich (by their standards).

  • @hawtn3ss21 i wish everyone could, but most Americans cant afford there own House and to Feed there family

  • @hawtn3ss21 Easier said then done...

  • same clothes?

  • @proent u missed the point....

  • @proent Duhhh ,they are homeless!

  • its like an ad turned into a video

  • Fantastic video. Very nicely done

  • that fun

  • Very well done

  • Well now I'M tired.

  • This is amazing-Amazing company, working for a great cause, and such an amazing and moving video! It really shows how a person/a family's life can change, and it shows it very realistic-ly. Thumbs up if you enjoyed this video!

  • well done!

  • amazinnn !~ :P

  • It makes me want to do something!

  • This is Obama care, the change we need!

  • I like the part where they didn't have to live outside!

  • lucky kid

  • @pibada5 y is he lucky

  • Free markets are far from perfect.

  • SAD

  • @twe1vebones its a shame when innocent families end up on the streets, mine would have been there if not for our supportive extended family. However if we were on the streets, sitting on the corner asking for money isnt the way to go about it. There's plenty of organizations (like this organization) who are there to help people. The one's begging on the corner are pretty much always addicts, at least that's the case in seattle

  • @dafishmode And the ones randomly walking around (and talking to themselves--I see it in PA) usually have mental issues.

  • This is such a moving video I was homeless from jr high clear through highschool we would have a place one day i would come home from school and we would be moving or the police would be there to escort us out just me and my mom

  • That house is better than mine...

  • god bless them. brought tears to my eyes.

  • i like the blanket at the end

  • The power of Community.

  • @vipinput And unity! :)

  • smooth life

  • that was moving :)

  • Ah dammit a Youtube video made me cry

  • its beatifull but i got one question is tht a mother or a father??????

  • @lilm0333 It's obviously a mother, duh. Don't know why you can't see it ôO

  • @lilm0333 mother

  • i used to live like that whit ma mom in a apartemant whit almost nothing just a bed to sleep some and a coupel of things

  • We totally need to get out of iraq & afghanistan completely to help the homeless in america.

  • YAY HAPPY ENDING

  • ok cool, people helping homeless people but the question is Why are they homeless? We people take jobes we earn money and we buy houses im still 13 so i dont know much but cent these people get a job ? even if they havent graduated school ?

  • @WarHawk215 Because a lot of people can't find work, or they are mentally unstable, lots of reasons why people are homeless. Most jobs pay minimum wage and that's about enough to barely live on, on a day to day basis.

  • @WarHawk215 Alot of homeless people have jobs .. sometimes their salaries are not enough to pay rent ...

  • @DeeLeo009 If you call my car a home, then I have one. If you call the 60 hours a week I work a job, then I have one. Like you said though, sometimes that isn't enough to pay rent.

  • nice work CHP. i love it!

  • that's fucked i cant imagine having a child and being homeless.

  • @GETYOURNERDON actually i never seen homeless child.

  • @JanneFlinck1981 I bet you assume all homeless people are hobos too..

  • @JanneFlinck1981 Consider yourself lucky, it's pretty sad

  • @JanneFlinck1981 thats because they are mostly sent to orphanges

  • @JanneFlinck1981 U must not get around very often

  • @JanneFlinck1981

Homeless children are typically just less visible than homeless adults -- youth on their own use services less frequently than adults on their own, at least here in Minnesota (according to the last statewide study), and women and children make up a large proportion of the homeless community.

  • Glad they used Nick Drake :D

  • This is great. But is still don't like those that abuse public housing and welfare. That's taxpayer's hard-earned money!

  • @thearaban I don't think anyone likes that. But it's better than the alternative.

  • Life is about community and seconded chances because if one person falls than do we not all fail if we do try to help our fellow human being up again ?

Ask yourselves this question : If your child falls down than don't you encourage them to get back up and try again ?

If you answered yes than you know people are out there trying to help people help themselves.

This is what Community Housing Partnership did for and still does for me today and some day I will be able to do for others

  • @watchme62

Well put. Everyone can help someone else get on their feet, and everyone needs to be helped sometimes.

  • i like this ad....not one person on this planet should have to be homeless and sleep outide like an animal...we have so much wasted money here in america that we use on such stupid crap we dont need....if im going to be a taxpayer in this country i should get to choose where that money goes...id rather it go to help less fortunate people...there is no reasone why 2 people need a huge 6 room mansion with 12 acres while there are millions sleeping on the sidewalk...we live in a sad society

  • oooookkk???????????

  • cool.

    314 viewer.

  • so simple, yet so moving!

  • @TheAnnunciator i know!

I was expecting it 2 be a loongg film

  • @TheAnnunciator Seriously, and so damn true.

  • this looks ok

  • Interesting.

  • A moving piece from a cutting edge organization that is making real change!
