I have been going back and watching past seasons for a second time. This season did not impress me. I like it when they get nothing and start from scratch. Here they all got machetes, food, fishing gear, lamps and fuel and also had many changes of clothes yet they still cried, pissed and moaned about how hard it was. All the guys walking around carrying the Machetes like they were pirates or something.. too funny. And wow this group acted so freaking high school that it was at times painful.

I thought this was interesting, so I googled it and the USDA web site says, "The vast and remote Brazilian territory described as the Legal Amazon encompasses over five million square kilometers", which would be over 2.5 millions square miles. I don't know how they calculate that - it doesn't make sense - but I'm sure that whoever does the research for Probst found that figure somewhere. Maybe somebody out there knows how it's calculated?

I'm a female, and I'd be more concerned about winning challenges, some of which don't matter if you're male or female. Others?

If I were in that situation, I'd totally want a tribe that is half men and half women. There is a reason why in the Olympics the ground is leveled and certain events are divvied by sexes. Generalizing, yes. Because it's generally true.
