Yeah, during that argument (which I don't believe was entirely genuine), I recall thinking to myself, if they split into 2 separate shows, Opie SHOULD get Jim so each show has one funny person.

Of course, fans hate when you say this, I got insulted for calling Opie useless, but he is. I remember a couple of shows where he wasn't around and it was just as funny, and everything went smoothly, thus dispelling the oft-repeated myth that Opie's task as a board op is pivotal to the show's success..

If Opie meant to suggest that his future in radio is secure, he's probably right; he has well over two decades of experience in the medium, and he could obtain employment just about anywhere. If he thinks he could run an interesting show without Norton and especially Anthony, he's hopelessly deluded.

Opie is dumb IF he tries to be funny..When he sits back and lets Jimmy and Ant go off then he's fine,but when he tries a line and he deepens his voice for some reason, he is extremely unfunny.
