These neighbors to my friend hate pitties so much, they made up this big lie, brought my friend to court, and won. They had to give up their pit bull, who was only 4 years old. This nice family offered to adopt him, instead of having him put down. They said they could come by whenever to see him. When my friend tried to, they had changed his name and moved out of state.
i have a 3 month old pit along with a 1 year old pit and wen i have the 3 month old out at the riber with me or something and kids are playing with her and she is licking them and being her then their parents find out it's a pit and freaks out just pisses me off
I can honest;ly say i never knew what love was till i met my pit Kami from Miami .i would get married again if i could meet a girl that posessed the same great qualities she has.BSL is absolute shit. I had to move from Miami-Dade county to South Broward just so they wouldn't take her away from me----that would take an Army.
I am happy to hear you moved. People cross the street when they see me coming with my pit who is not all beefed up and all. Must be me cause they know I'd tear them up if they came near my dog. I am so ready to move to another planet!

And its so frustrating to know that sooo many people are very very very close minded on this topic. it saddens and at the same time angers me. STOP BSL!!!! read up on it in ur city, county, or state. do not let the government take away precioius family members.

I was put in jail for 3 months for assault on the judge. & the government has freedom not us, & not our pit bulls. He was the biggest sweetheart & lover. & for the people that think they are ruthless and violent animals don't judge, its just like humans if we are raised in a violent place we become violent. so think before you speak.
My step sister was 11 years old when her face was mauled beyond repair by a neighbor's pit bull. She was playing in her yard, on a hammock with her friend, they were wrapping themselves in it and swinging back & forth. The pit evidently had lost it's mind that evening and dug under it's fence until it's paws were evidently bleeding cause it wanted out so bad.
It attacked her while she was in the hammock. She's had five plastic surgeries.....
"evidently lost it's mind"...... Dogs don't just say "Hey geez I think I'll just snap out of no where" THERE ARE ALWAYS WARNING SIGNS/ Irresponsible owners do not recognize them. How much do you KNOW about the dog that attacked. A lab killed a 6 week old baby in tulsa... a ferret chewed off a babies toes and the 6 week old pit bull puppy in the house was blamed only later to find out it was the ferret. Feel free to google either of those stories....
you never know. it could have been any dog that could have attacked ur sis. it is owners who keep dogs all alone in the backyard. thus they are not properly socialized and are not sure wat to do with new sounds, sights, and people which usually leads to attacks or the dogs being scared out of its mind. i am sorry for ur sis. but dont burn the bridge just yet.
@trojanfan525 That's what I've been saying all the time when this subject comes out in Chile, but here they're panicking about pitbulls and the point is the idiots who own the dogs. Any dog in the wrong hands can be dangerous. When they end up with pitbulls there's going to be another new "dangerous breed" in the future "scaring" us in the future and so on. They did the same bad campaign with the dobermans in the 80's. I still remember that and nowadays, I've seen a lot of them.
@missmissy22556 Come on get real with us, we all know better. Dogs dont just up and go crazy and certainly wouldnt dig until their paws bleed to get at a little girl. We know you want us so badly to side with you, but making shit up is just not the right way to go about it. We are all here for the most part because we own and cherish our beloved apbts. Anyone who owns one knows fully well that if raised right, with love and socialized properly a pitbull is a faithful companion.
Sadly, the only folks who know how we feel are those PRIVILEGED enough to ever had known a pit bull. GOD bless my babies(the 4-legged ones), they have been the #1 influence in my 2-legged kids' sense of humanity. The compassion towards ALL animals that my kids possess is something that makes me more proud than any Master's or PHD degree they could ever bring me. Being a good human being is something that the GREATEST university in the world can't help u with!

I've had a golden retriever live to be 18, and it still didn't feel like enough time. She died last Oct. and I still miss my girl.
