Gun Bow deserves notice because as some have already pointed a very talented racehorse. Many horses like him get forgotten in mists of time. Any horse who best Kelso was a real racehorse.
Gun Bow ran some freakish races. At his best he could run with any horse, as reflected by the fact he beat Kelso twice. Gun Bow won the Naragansett Cap' by 13 lengths, the San Fernando by 5.5, the Strub by 12, San Antonio by 4, Brooklyn by 12, this Whitney by 10 (under 130 lbs), the Washington Park Cap by 2 with 132 lbs, and Met Mile under 130!

What a powerful performance by Gun Bow! He sure had great bloodlines to show this type of spunk and vigor . A great champion - fun to watch .
