I lost my daughter Adelle to a CHD. She had HLHS, or in laymen terms half of a heart. She was diagnosed in utero, I can't stress enough how important screening is. I have known so many parents who didn't know their baby had a CHd until it was too late. There were no CHDs in my husband's family or my family, so you never can really know until screening is done.
i have TOF as well, im 19. some days are better then others as i still have a leak in my heart i will surgery again soon. but many people dont know about CHDs and really they need to know about it!
