I can understand why this case makes everyone angry it is a lot to take in, especially as a parent. People say why? is there no god? Similar things have happened in the bible (the story of moses when babies were thrown to the alagaters). I try not to loose my faith in god when I hear of these. The Edlington case in 2009 was very similar to the Bulger case and raised questions about the role of parents. Everyone likes to call Thompson and Venables evil monsters but what about their parents? Look at the rise in teen gangs in England compared to 10 years ago. Youth violence is growing problem.

The type of treatment they received was consistent with their age. I see no reason in sending to adult prison just because they committed murder. Unless there is evidence to show they would be likely commit another crime, they deserve a chance an extra chance to live productive lives.

Anyone here saying they want to kill the killers are worse than Venables and Thompson themselves. They weren't "evil" - they're humans just like you and me. The endless ignorant over-reaction to this case is disgusting. It makes me ashamed to be British.

The Edlington case in 2009 was very similar to the Bulger case and raised questions about the role of parents. Everyone likes to call Thompson and Venables evil monsters but what about their parents? Look at the rise in teen gangs in England compared to 10 years ago. Youth violence is growing problem.

Thanks for posting. I often wondered how Ralph was and how he is coping now. Sad to see the pain is as raw as it was all those years ago. The priest had a difficult job trying to comfort him. I hope he is surrounded by people who love him and I hope there is life after death and he will see his little boy again.

I cannot stop thinking about what those two evil boys did to a poor defenceless toddler. It makes me sick to the stomach to think that the British justice system released them with new identities (and I am a lawyer). I have never believed in the death penalty, however I am convinced that Venables and Thompson must be executed. God will punish them and they will ROT IN HELL FOREVER. May the memory of little James remain and may these two evil scumbags suffer for eternity.

The type of treatment they received was consistent with their age. I see no reason in sending to adult prison just because they committed murder. Unless there is evidence to show they would be likely commit another crime, they deserve a chance an extra chance to live productive lives.

Mollycoddling them in a kid's unit was a waste of taxpayers' money: up to 5 Million quid has been squandered on these toerags. If they were 'removed', to put it mildly, this waste of public taxes would cease. If people like you want to fund this wasteful charade, do so yourselves, but don't expect the rest of us to contribute.
