@Hershey2553 well mk 1n is super easy i beat in less than an hour mk 2 thats a very hard game it took 6 hours for me to beat it and umk3 (mk3) is a medium type of game so the arcade collection is a good nostalgic game but don't get mad cuz you can't beat 2 or 3 cuz its still fun to play and its not like ghost and goblins where in that game you have to beat it a second time and that game was hard to beat the first try
Although some of the problems have been patched, there are still many MANY problems and I was really disappointed. I was looking forward to playing MK online and this was almost as disappointing as the Phantom Menace.

Got this game for my playstation plus account for free and i gotta say it was way too hard. I played this game on my sega genesis and Nintendo and i thought i was good at the time but now having this collection just makes me want to delete it because im pretty sure they did amp the difficulty spike so you couldn't manage to beat any of the games. Mortal Kombat 2 on the psn is laggy, but I have had a few good matches where there was no lag at all.Originally This so call Kollection for mortal kombat was suppose to be redone from ground up in HD.So I am not too worried about replaying these 3 games, if I already have mk2 on ps3,umk3 on xbox 360,and mortal kombat deception premium pack that came with mk1.

Pause is Back, or select so you can press the code to fight smoke in MKII. Non screen stretch is for Authenticy. If you are a true fan you would know all of this. Grow up!!!!!!!

As I stated, the 2006 re-release of UMK3 for Xbox Live Arcade had all those problems fixed and the online was damn near perfect. Then this game came out with all those issues unfixed. in all seriousness though, Ed Boon seems to like to fudge a lot of shit when it comes to beating another series to the release-date punch. the whole reason MK advance sucked so much ass. just rushed out the door to be shelved before tekken advance.
Don't forget about mortal kombat ADVANCE, the AI was so brutal and immaculate it was immortal. so I built a pedestal in my room and put the game up there, where it is to this day.
Having bought this yesterday to see what MK was like I'm really disappointed with this.
a. the difficulty level doesn't matter, the opponents always predicts your moves & pulling off fatalities, animalities & babalities is really hard.
b. Like this guy said, horrible online issues and horrified at how much lag this has. Phantasy Star Universe online plays way better than this online crap!
c. Played deadly alliance in the past & would rather buy that than play this arcade collection. Urgent pat
i feel ya on being a longtime MK fan. i used to love dumping my quarters in the machine at our local arcade when i was. 10 for christ's sake! i'm 30! talk about life long fans! does anybody remember the badass MKII commercial that we all wished the movie would have been akin too? look it up on youtube if you never saw it people. it was great. wake up neatherrealm! don't dump on your fans and release mediocre releases of games we once held so dear to our hearts.

Worst port ever. Terrible filters, no features, Buggy, slow framerate and to top it off you have to sit through 6 start up logos before the game actually starts. Comparing this to sf3 online edition, this is embarassing
I do enjoy the MK Arcade Kollection, but I too have some gripes about it....
MK1: The only gripe I have with this game is that you only hear the 1st 3 seconds of Goro's fight theme
MK II: I don't have any real individual gripes with this game. I like that in this version, Start doesn't pause & because of that, you can now face Smoke
Ultimate MK3: It sucks that they cut off "Get over here!" At least you only have to enter each Ultimate Kombat Kode once.
That's not the point I'm making, regardless of the online play this game is still good stupid ass, gameplay is exactly the same, minus some online lag but all xbox games cod, halo etc have lag with certain connections.
@hbk1469 At what point do I ever say the gameplay sucks? The EMULATION of the game is the problem, which I explain in minute detail. There are tons of irregularities in this emulation. Hell, one of the in-game tips they give you to unlock Mileena, Ermac, and Classic Sub is incorrect, which I didn't even address in the video. UMK3 is one of my favorite games of all time. God, some of you people need to learn how to comprehend things.

I love Mortal Kombat but it did feel sloppy. I mean its hard for me to remember what is arcade perfect anyway, I haven't played a real MK Arcade in 15 years. I've played plenty of ports which all have alot of differences in every way. They should have had MK, MK2, MK3, UMK3 and MK4 Made it really tight and well done. That would have been the ultimate arcade collection. MK4 gets no love. All we get is a PS1 and N64 port and neither are arcade perfect.

Having bought this yesterday to see what MK was like I'm really disappointed with this.
a. the difficulty level doesn't matter, the opponents always predicts your moves & pulling off fatalities, animalities & babalities is really hard.
b. Like this guy said, horrible online issues and horrified at how much lag this has. Phantasy Star Universe online plays way better than this online crap!
c. Played deadly alliance in the past & would rather buy that than play this arcade collection. Urgent pat

i feel ya on being a longtime MK fan. i used to love dumping my quarters in the machine at our local arcade when i was. 10 for christ's sake! i'm 30! talk about life long fans! does anybody remember the badass MKII commercial that we all wished the movie would have been akin too? look it up on youtube if you never saw it people. it was great. wake up neatherrealm! don't dump on your fans and release mediocre releases of games we once held so dear to our hearts.

I do enjoy the MK Arcade Kollection, but I too have some gripes about it....
MK1: The only gripe I have with this game is that you only hear the 1st 3 seconds of Goro's fight theme
MK II: I don't have any real individual gripes with this game. I like that in this version, Start doesn't pause & because of that, you can now face Smoke
Ultimate MK3: It sucks that they cut off "Get over here!" At least you only have to enter each Ultimate Kombat Kode once.
The 2 second lag after pause sucks.

@hbk1469 At what point do I ever say the gameplay sucks? The EMULATION of the game is the problem, which I explain in minute detail. There are tons of irregularities in this emulation. Hell, one of the in-game tips they give you to unlock Mileena, Ermac, and Classic Sub is incorrect, which I didn't even address in the video. UMK3 is one of my favorite games of all time. God, some of you people need to learn how to comprehend things.

I love Mortal Kombat but it did feel sloppy. I mean its hard for me to remember what is arcade perfect anyway, I haven't played a real MK Arcade in 15 years. I've played plenty of ports which all have alot of differences in every way. They should have had MK, MK2, MK3, UMK3 and MK4 Made it really tight and well done. That would have been the ultimate arcade collection. MK4 gets no love. All we get is a PS1 and N64 port and neither are arcade perfect.
