Okay, time out, hold it! The Animal Gods forged the Bell of Wakening....So that NO ONE could ring it? That makes no sense. If there was no bell already then it stands to reason that there was no one to ring it. So why even bother to forge it at all? And people said Karla the Grey Witch's logic was confusing.
This chick is ridiculous. Inconsiderate and selfish...I know she's smitten by her king, but to put other people in danger for her obessession is wrong.
@KyodaiKen1979 The whole dark elf thing is a cop out. In the first minute of this video she's begging the young girl who is obviously in a dire situation to get up so she in her selfishness can call back her king. Yeah, at the end Ashram's soul helped them fight the evil god, forget his name, but none of this excuses Sherdu's actions and complete disregard for other people's well being in her quest for Ashram.
@KyodaiKen1979 I expect anyone supposedly on the side of the good guys to at least have some shred of good guy attitude. I understand the anti-hero personality, but all I get from her is just straight up self-centered, me, me, me and my need to get to Ashram attitude. Not even anti-hero, just selfish.
Pirotess' .... I mean, *ahem*, "Sheru's" ... loyalty belongs to Ashram, and Ashram alone. The Record of Lodoss War series should have made that clear amply.
But I admit that this film doesn't explain anything about the characters' past really (as far as I watched it at this point) and simply assumes that the viewer would know it all from having seen Record of Lodoss War.
Which, in case you have not, I strongly suggest you watch. It's a great show.
