  • dude dont arch to much cause i did that and arched i gave myself a back injury so like once ever few months my back goes put for 3-4 days and it hurts like hell

  • Can't agree. Continue with the arching, as it enables you to lift more and contract more musclesfibres. Its like saying that you shouldn't have you feet on the floor when doing benchpress. You need all the support you can get for an exercise like this. Sitting completely straight aint good for your back. What you should do, is to get the dumbbells more out instead of so close to your head, as in this video, you use your triceps more then your shoulders. Take care mate! and keep the good work up.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmm very sexy. You are a very cute man!!!

  • haha thanks!

  • by the way, i can only do 60s on shoulder press so i dont have too much room to talk i guess lol, but good form is always the key man! keep good posture :D

  • It's impressive that you can do this much.

But I do have a suggestion; you should keep your back flat against the bench and not arch it like you are. Arching your back enables you to lift more weight indeed, but in the long run it will take a toll on your lower back. Just a suggestion.

  • Yeah I agree with that.I usually do these without a back support,so I can't arch my back.I have some videos doing 100's x7-8 reps without back support. The back support makes you want to arch.

  • Ok cool, nice videos man, I enjoy them. Keep up the great work. Maybe someday I'll be able to do that much lol. My max right now is 90s on dumbell flat bench, 3 reps. Hopefully I'll make it to 100s soon. Im only 15 years old though, so ive got a long way to go.

  • Thanks man! 90's x 3 is excellent for your age.Just stick with it and don't quit,it takes a lot of time and effort to increase your strength. There will be lots of ups and downs but it's the guys who stick with it for the long haul that reap the benefits of strength training.

  • thanks. if i stick with it ill be ahead of most people. i dont know many people can say they started strength training at age 12 and stuck with it all their life.

  • yo what are you doing with 2 different kinds of dumbbell. im always scared that one would be lighter!

  • I had all my 10 lb plates tied up in heavier dumbells. These two dumbells are within a pound of each other.

  • I am in the same boat as you relative to my capability. I should try high rep db presses too. Happy New Year!

  • Yeah the best thing u can do when u get burned out is to completely change your routine.

  • thats a strong press mark, great job, and a happy new year to you with lots of good results

  • Thanks buddy! Happy New Year to and your family also!

  • Pretty good Mark what was your bench this week? Yeah it gets me really down when I have a bad bench day that will bug the crap out of me until I at least get a deacent day. Anymore I just say I'll have a good again and I try not to let it bother me. Easier said than done.

  • Well I didn't end up trying anything heavy because I felt so weak on my warmups.365 felt heavy so i didn't go beyond that.I could be a little burned out like u said.

  • YES SIR!!! Awesome power brotha!

  • Thanks bro,apreciate it!

  • Thanks big boy!

  • Good effort--shoulders are still quite strong; I'm gaining weight damn it! ( did u get that old timers blog I sent u? )

  • Thanks, yeah my bench press was lousy.I'll probably go 95 lbs next week on dumbells.
