  • how much did he pay for that lottle engine

  • The engine itself, as well as three 3/4" scale flat cars and thirty feet of 3.5" gauge track, cost him $3,300.00 according to the DLS Sold Pages. However, the engine was in a state of major disrepair, and to this day he is still working on her. She could run on compressed air, but it took him a while to get her under steam. So far, he plans to add an injector as well as cab operated cylinder cocks.

  • Actually $3,000 overall including shipping. But close. I like looking back at old comments, now I have an injector. haha

  • I guess you got a bargain :-). I too enjoy looking at my old comments.

  • Yes Alex, we will sometime combine some of our meet footage. BTW GGLS SSO meet is 23-26 of july, be there or be square man

  • Yeah, according to Golden Gate Live Steamers' Official Calendar, it is July 23rd-24th. We're thinking we'll drive up to Berkley on Thursday afternoon and be on the tracks running ATSF #471 Friday morning until Sunday morning when we drive back down to LA. But, that all depends on many critical factors that we have yet to look into, including Summer School.
