  • 1/3 There are actually over 135 biblical references for fearing God. Humility and meekness are spiritual fruit that we use for Christ's reconciliation ministry having to do with God's grace (supernatural power, ability, & strength), peace, and love. That's because we're in need of salvation from a God who has prepared for Israel a new earth. There's a judgment, first.

  • 2/3 Like a child moves with fear in order to have and to keep their parents near, so do the children of God. He is our Provider and our Father. It's the children of the flesh that will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

1 Samuel 12: 13—15 (KJV) Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.

  • 3/3 1 Sam 12: 14—15 If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God: But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.

  • From what I understand, God expects us to grow beyond the basics of salvation, and that does include charitable acts of love: freely we have received, freely we give back when we work in our Father's Great Commission. This is what is meant by "profitability" and producing fruits worthy of repentance (righteousness) when we go to stand before Him.

My question is: Where is the fear of God in man???

  • @SwordofSpirit1

It is not natural for man to fear God... It is something we mush work at. Fear is not the right word for it. I would say respect or humility toward God would be better.

  • @Sk8er408 How often do you read God's Word (the Holy Bible)?

  • @SwordofSpirit1

A lot. How often do you understand it?

  • Hmmm. In my own experience, I did recognize my need for healing without demanding it from Jesus at all. It wasn't that I went to church or was exposed to Him, etc. and therefore was biased early on. It was that He drew me by His Holy Spirit. That's what the supernatural power of righteousness in God's Spirit does. It's really quite beautiful and quite simple.

  • In response to your questions I have questions for you:

Do you have any evidence at all this Jesus was a real person let alone a god?

Do you really think the magic written about in a bronze-age book is real?

Where are these Gods right now, do they live in the sky?

Can you demonstrate these Gods for me? You know full well these Gods have never been indicated. Finally, what are these Gods made from? Everything real is either matter or energy. Exactly which particles are these Gods made of?

  • @bigboy45454545 - you have many questions... and if you believe in one thing, believe in this. Energy is never created or destroyed... it just IS. We are energy. We transform into bodies terrestrial and someday will become bodies celestial. How it all works? No many knows... nor can they until they go on the journey which no man can return from to then find out. I'm anxious to know all the answers and I believe I will know all these things. What about you? Hopeful or incredulous?

  • @THELDSLIFE Your religion like all religion is just wishful thinking without evidence.

  • @bigboy45454545 -

    Jesus said this:

"Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."

1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Of course, it requires faith to believe in all of this. If life was just meant for us to have fun and indulge in all of what pleases the senses, then we wouldn't be learning very much about what we really came to learn.

  • @THELDSLIFE You don't have any evidence that Jesus said anything. The bible or whatever holy book you adhere to was written by primitive thinking men starting with Mark some 45 years after the alleged life of this Jesus. You think you'd want to write something like this down right away, but no it didn't seem important. And this Jesus of yours isn't attributed to even writing a single word himself. There is absolutely no empirical evidence for the life of this Jesus. It's a legend.

  • @bigboy45454545 - modern men have seen the savior and have born witness of his divinity. Many many others testify that he is divine and that we too may come to know the one true God. There is much about this universe that we have NOT yet begun to understand. Heaven... don't miss it for the world.

  • @THELDSLIFE Modern men have not seen this Jesus of yours. You're delusional if you think this is true. No knowing something about the universe isn't proof for your Gods or anybody elses Gods either. The only place these Gods exist are in peoples imaginations.

  • @bigboy45454545 - the people that saw Jesus didn't think they were delusional when they saw him. Just because you have little faith or none in the plan does not mean it isn't real.

  • @THELDSLIFE Not the people who saw Jesus my deluded friend. What you really mean are the "stories" of people who allegedly saw Jesus. Stories in the bible. Stories without evidence. The bible is a fictional storybook. It has talking snakes and rib-women and a flood which never happened. Don't forget the guy who spent the long weekend living in a whale? How delusional are you anyways? I hope the brainwashing wears off soon. But I'm sure you're happy.

  • @bigboy45454545 -

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I have never been to China but I know it exists. You can tell me that it does not or that it's an imaginary country but I know that there is a "China." It sounds as uniformed as this.

I suppose it would seem much different if you had seen the Lord risen or not and were trying to convince someone that had not. Not ALL in this life will be privy to that experience but those that have can not deny.

  • 1 Cor. 2: 5 -

"That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

  • @THELDSLIFE I don't put ''faith'' in the wisdom of other men. I test their claims with my faculties of logic and/or sense perception to test said claims for inconsistencies. Joseph Smith and all writers of the Bible/Book of Morman have made verifiably false claims about nature and the nature of their God... hence I don;t accept their word as factual. Particularly Joseph Smith word as he was a convicted fraudster!

  • @ndjm00 - We're always going to agree to disagree, that that's okay... but if God came to you with an important work to do hence by virtue of that you would become a prophet, how difficult would it be to convince the world of what you saw if neither of them got to see what you did?

  • @THELDSLIFE Well I havem't agreed to disagree yet as such a request has not been made of me. Also, you state:

''but if God came to you with an important work to do hence by virtue of that you would become a prophet, how difficult would it be to convince the world of what you saw if neither of them got to see what you did?''

It amazes me that you wrote that, without seeing the inherent and easily solved problem of it. Why does God only consult precarious individuals ...cont

  • with dodgy credentials with his message? Why can't an all powerfull, all loving being make a personalised and undeniable presentation to every single member of humanity?? Why do the ''prophets'', get the advantage of observable evidence of God... and the rest of us just have to trust them? You might respond; ''in order to keep humanities faith and freewill''... but I would have to respond: ''what about the prophets faith and frewill''???

  • @ndjm00 - this plan of happiness includes that all should have the opportunity to discover for themselves how to focus their energies while on earth.

Were it possible for God to speak to us daily and be as bright as a light house ever present and ever above us, we would not be granted our own free will... we would be compelled to obeisance. All would be either subtly made or directly commanded to just DO as God said so that no soul be lost.

Salvation for men is voluntary and not via coercion.

  • @THELDSLIFE You completely ignored the question of my last comment. I specifically stated:

''You might respond; ''in order to keep humanities faith and freewill''... but I would have to respond: ''what about the prophets faith and freewill''???''

You ignored this question and responded with: ''Were it possible for God to speak to us daily and be as bright as a light house ever present and ever above us, we would not be granted our own free will... we would be compelled ...cont

  • to obeisance. All would be either subtly made or directly commanded to just do as God said so that no soul be lost.''

So again I must ask: ''what about the prophets faith and freewill''???'' Were these men who wittnessed the undeniable existence of God first hand not entitled to the same freewill as the rest of us??? But in any case, knowing for a fact that God exist does not necessitate worship or any kind of obediance towards his rule. Satan provides a perfect example ...cont

  • of this. Satan knows perfectly well that God exists, but according to your Holybook he is still using his freewill to disobey and not worship God. This means that knowing for a fact that God exists ...does not mean that one can't still use their freewill in order to shun him!

  • You didn't give an answer to any of the questions you posed in the video ...so what was the point?

  • @ndjm00 - at 2:12 the answer was provided.

The point of this video is to encourage men and women to find their answers APART from the opinions of men, of tradition, of coercion, or of ANY other means by which MEN try to convince you that "Jesus is the Christ." because, as John said in 1 John 5:9, a "witness of God is greater than a witness of men."

I answered ALL of these questions by inviting ALL to pose the SAME questions to God to get their answer: a spiritual confirmation/witness of truth.

  • @THELDSLIFE So ...assuming you believe Jesus was/is God ...your answer to all of those questions you posed preceding the answer at 2:12 is to: ask Jesus / God if he is ''the way''? Isn that a bit circular? Like... wouldn't one have to accept the presupposition that Jesus was ''the way'' before finding it in anyway rational or helpful to pose the/those questions to him? And if you have already accepted Jesus as ''the way''; what need would one have of asking him: ''was he the way''?

  • @ndjm00 - there are many who are unsure. If you are sure either way, then there's little I could do to persuade you for or against it. The point is it is via GOD and not MAN that these things may be known.

  • @THELDSLIFE ''The point is it is via GOD and not MAN that these things may be known.''

... but there in lies the problem. One must already hold a belief in God before they find it reasonable / credible to ask him anything... Why would believers want to ask a question they believe they already have answer to? ...Why would non believers ask a question of a Diety they don't believe even exists? Im not trying to annoy you... but I am interested in understanding the message of this video...

  • @ndjm00 - sometimes the first question to God is this: "Is there a God?" It's the questions I had to pose, regardless of my upbringing in ANY faith.

I can distinctly remember the day that I asked this question.

I was 14... struggling to be in school, popularity, the whole bit. I wanted ALSO to know whether there REALLY was a God. Whether he was MINDFUL of me. If he was my father and if he really cared. The results of my simple prayer have been like an unquenchable, eternally burning flame.

  • @THELDSLIFE ''sometimes the first question to God is this: "Is there a God?" ''

... but don't you see the contradiction here? If for example I wanted to know if my father existed ...I wouldn't ask him, because in order to ask him ...he would have to exist ...therefore negating the need for the question!

''I wanted ALSO to know whether there REALLY was a God.''

...so you decided to ask God if he was real, even though you didn't know if he existed or even if he did ...which God it...cont

  • was you were asking. And how do you even know for sure a God replyed to your prayer? You do realise that people suffer from delusions every minute of every day... usually in response to strong emotional stimuly. By what means have you ascertained that the ''response'' to your prayer wasn't delusory but actually real?

  • @ndjm00 - it is not easy to describe... but it has been mentioned of by the scriptures. It is un-deniable when it comes. 2 men walking with the resurrected Jesus said this:

"Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?" (Luke 24:32)

It is my testimony to you that God DOES live and that Jesus is the Christ. It is that thing which has given me peace, solace, and courage to take on the rest of my days upon the earth.

  • @THELDSLIFE when people start quoting scripture, I usually back out of the coversation as quoting scripture to ''prove'' your position on God is circular. i.e.:

You: ''I know God exists because it says so in the Bible''

Me: ''and what authority does the Bible have when making such claims?''

You: ''the Bible is the ultimate authority in such matters as it is the word of God''

...and around and around it goes... also, your testimony is no more valid then a hindus or muslims ...cont

  • etc... unless your testimony is falsifiable or testable by objective criteria. Are you stating that your testimony is falsifiable, and if so ...how?

  • @ndjm00 - well let's not pretend that you just mentioned the Hindus and the Muslims. You can't wrap yourself around them while still denying them. Come clean. You are not a staunch Hindu nor are you a believing Muslim. *smiles*

The witness of men, namely prophets, and a witness of God was necessary for me to wade through the waters of uncertainty. There were many times that NONE of this made any sense to me. One must not suppose that since I was raised LDS that I automatically believed it all.

  • @THELDSLIFE ''- well let's not pretend that you just mentioned the Hindus and the Muslims. You can't wrap yourself around them while still denying them. Come clean. You are not a staunch Hindu nor are you a believing Muslim.''

...what on Earth are you talking about. This is one of the biggest red herrings I have ever seen an apologist make. Its a distraction from the topic at hand and is simply designed to change the direction of the discussion. ...all that, and it makes absolutely ...cont

  • no sense! You state that because I amen't a staunch HIndu or Muslim, I cannot reference them as I do not believe in the existence of their Deity. ...But you fail to remember that I don't believe in the existence of your Deity either ...yet you are comfortable with me referencing ''him'' and discussing ''his'' existence with you. This is incredibly disingenuous of you. When I brought up HIndus and Muslims (real living people mind you!), I was asking ...cont

  • you why their testimony on the existence of Allah or Vishnu is false and your testimony on the existence of Yahweh is correct, even though they will present their testimonies for the existence of their respective dieties with the same sense of truth, conviction and faith which you present your testimony for the existence of Yahweh. I want to know... by what objective criteria do you reject their testimonies (ie: falsifie them), and accept your own? ...cont

  • Afterall... you might hold the sincere conviction that Jesus has shown you ''the way''... but there are millions of Muslims and Hindus around the globe who hold a sincere conviction that their respective Dieties have shown them ''the way''. On what grounds do you reject their testimony and accept your own?

...you go on to state: ''The witness of men, namely prophets, and a witness of God was necessary for me to wade through the waters of uncertainty.''

... but again, this is ...cont

  • circular logic. You are using the word of the prophets within the bible and the imaginings withinn your own head, to verify the word of .... the Bible!!!! This makes no sense. You are trying to verify the word of the Bible by appealing to the word of the BIble. Illogical!!!

  • @ndjm00 - A second witness of Jesus Christ has come to light. With this addition, we learn that God has been very interested in the affairs of men... even as they were scattered across the world. The Book of Mormon is simply another proof that there were other Israelites. Some can deny that the God of Israel was or is the one true God... but why do this? If an angel of God declared it, God permitted that it should come forth, and witnesses also testified of its veracity... why longer doubt?

  • @THELDSLIFE ''The Book of Mormon is simply another proof that there were other Israelites.''

...The book of Morman ...seriously??? Haha! LMAO! YOu do realise that Joseph Smith was a convicted fraudster before finding the ''golden tablets'' which nobody else was allowed see!

''If an angel of God declared it, God permitted that it should come forth, and witnesses also testified of its veracity... why longer doubt?''

once again appealing to your Holybook in order to prove it! CIRCULAR!!!

  • @ndjm00 - I do not think erroneously as you do regarding Joseph Smith. And at no point was Joseph Smith convicted for any sort of fraud and had always been exonerated whenever he was wrongfully put into a jail save one instance only... when a Mob took the law into their own hands and with 150 + men Joseph was shot to death. And if someone going to Jail has any bearing as to whether someone is a prophet or true teacher of God, then both Peter and Paul of the New Testament are disqualified too.

  • @THELDSLIFE - P.S. Not wrapping myself around Peter and Paul in vain. I actually believe that THOSE men were prophets... ~Wink~

  • @THELDSLIFE ''at no point was Joseph Smith convicted for any sort of fraud and had always been exonerated ''

Reality Im afraid, disagrees with you. New York Court records clearly show that Smith was convited of ''disturbing the peace'', with regard to fraudulent behaviour in 1826, prior to his translation of the ''Golden Plates''. He was fooling a farmer out of his money by using his sear stones to look for ''buried spanish treasure'', and charging for the priviledge. Funnily enough ...cont

  • it was this sear stone method (which never produced any hidden treasure), which Smith used to ''translate'' the Golden Plates which nobody else ever verifiably saw.

''And if someone going to Jail has any bearing as to whether someone is a prophet or true teacher of God, then both Peter and Paul of the New Testament are disqualified too.''

...you seem to forget that I’m an Atheist. I don't believe in the veracity of the claims of the Biblical gospels, anymore than I ...cont

  • do in the veracity of Joseph Smiths claims. In any case, Paul was not a direct witness of Jesus Christ ...and ''Peter'' didn't actually write the Gospel of Peter.

  • You cant talk about truth if you're wearing wolf clothing

  • @llevijr - indeed, I'm pointing folks towards Christ, in hopes that they will choose him and be humble enough to have "ears to hear" and this is a very bad thing. What I have discovered, over several months worth of witnessing online regarding the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is folks like you never seem to change their stripes. Very full of opinions. Your cups are ALWAYS full of what you already deem to be a preferred liquid leaving no room to think you could POSSIBLE be in error yourself.

  • to accept this stuff as truth, is a primary example of faith. i simply call it CRAZEEEE!

    enoch already!!!

  • @flyingfishsurf - enoch what?

  • This was a great video and i enjoyed it, it really made me feel good thank you. God bless you.

  • Again THELDSLIFE, keep in mind that there are many spirits in this world, this is a Biblical teaching, i would love to exchange emails with you so that i may send you many things to read in the BIble. I have prayed and found that the Spirit of God from the Bible from History, from facts, from the LDS church history has shown me and told me that it is not the one true church. I pray you will one day read His, start with Romans, then read Acts. Pray that He is with you when you read.

  • If the original Church of Jesus Christ was permitted to tarry, it wouldn't look any different than it's latter-day counterpart.

We have the apostasy to blame for that.

  • blame? if there was a world wide apostacy like the LDS church needs to claim in order to exist. God would have lied when Jesus said His word will never fade away, Also i think Moroni said that it wouldnt plus there are suppose to be three nephites still here. There was and has never been an apostacy of the Biblical Jesus Christ's church. Even the BoM will tell you that, God does not contradict even on this one point the LDS church is not the one true church.

  • There have been MULTIPLE times of Apostasy.

I've you've picked up a Bible once read it from Genesis, you would know it wasn't written by Adam, Enoch, Noah or Abraham:

    info lost in time.

400 years passed from the days of Joseph (the one sold into Egypt) before Moses.

It was called, "A little season."

A partial Apostasy also occurred from Malachi to Jesus. The Jews rejected Jesus probably supposing that the days of the prophets had ended.

Haven't we contrarily learned from the Jews?

  • Ok, if you have picked up a Bible and read it from Genesis then you would understand that yes there were small amounts of time that were not filled with God, that does not mean that He wasnt there. Also Jesus established His church and said it would never faid. So chronologically his church was established and still is and always has been since He was here, thats what he said. LDS claims need an apostacy after Jesus, and there still hasnt been one.

  • Great job on the video.

I am a witness that the answers will come. Even if you have to pray every night for years, until you learn how to receive the answer--the answers will come.

  • Elder Watson and his wife, Jolene, were accompanied at the event by public affairs and humanitarian missionary couples based in Johannesburg and other missionaries serving locally in the area.

  • Wouldn't it be stupid to go in if I myself didn't know if these things were true let alone stand up for them, testify of them, and tell others they were true as well? I know there to be a God and that loves all his children.

  • Old Testament Lesson 12:

Fruitful in the Land of My Afflication

    by Ted L. Gibbons

  • This article seeks to correct the misinterpretation that the Welfare Plan was created in defiant opposition to the New Deal. Instead, the Welfare Plan is reaffirmed as the result of Saints' belief in caring for their own and their desire to assist members in a time of dire emergency.

  • holding nothing back. How can we do these things? We must read the scriptures and study them and do the things that are written in them while doing these things we can expect God to answer right away. We must show effort in trying to get an answer after we have done so then shall we receive are answer.

  • This video may be a "standard" for Christian Apologetics.

How can we know that Jesus Christi is the way?

Because of Tradition? Because the Bible says so?

Because our parents, teachers, friends, Pastors, Bishops, or anyone else we consider significant in our lives say so?

  • I do not expect everyone to believe everything I say. Then how is it we are to know wither the Bible or the Book of Mormon to be the word of God? In James 1:5 it say if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, freely and God will not mock you for asking. But we must do it with such faith with nothing wavering and ask God (verse 6) ( I feel you do not believe in there is a God either this way you can find out if there is a God too) . What this means is to pray and ask God these things

  • have you done that?

  • 5 Stars!, Great video, I enjoyed it.

  • That's just what I do! ;-)

  • Wow beautiful!

  • Welldone for the video and has lovely music to it and is very informative.

  • Quite simply beautiful and so peaceful sounding.

  • Jesus is truly THE WAY! Jesus lived the life we couldn't live, and Jesus also died the way we should have. Christianity is not a Religion. No religion can say we are the way because Jesus is for everyone who believes. He provides freedom and liberty. Not because of who we are, but because of what He had done, not because of what we've done, but because of who He is! He said the truth will set you free.

  • There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

    Ephesians 4:4-5

One must seek after the church that is authorized to perform the said baptism because that church DID exist amongst the Apostles of Old or else they wouldn't have called for it. Whether you believe anymore or not, you've received the said baptism.

The Elders of Israel bless the sacrament; the offering for a forgiveness of sin just as the priests did of old.

  • "Christianity is not a Religion"

so when the world religions are listed, you are saying CHRISTIANITY is NOT there?

  • John 8:12 I am the light of the world, John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world, Matt 5:15 Ye are the light of the world. That light that existed then exist now in those who follow in Christ footsteps, and believe in him. But that light wouldn't it show the way, the truth, and the life through them that follow Christ in there countenances? God has given you a way to judge for yourselves by their fruits you shall know them Matt 7:16-20.

  • Ok?

  • Thank you again for such a peaceful truthful witness.

  • Excellent video my friend, very well put together. You are a true follower of Jesus Christ.

  • It's my testimony that he is mindful of us all!

  • beautifully put together! now if only others could truly see... then this world would be so much better off...

  • thanks fo this!

  • I agree with ToThisEndWasIMormon, stunning. BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Wonderful, as usual!

And I loved the "Enya" selection!

Her music goes beautifully with just about any peaceable message I see on YT!

  • Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
