  • No way! Jarvis cocker sings infinitely better than Conan O'brian. Besides, Jarvis Cocker came out with an imortal single, 'Common People'. Almost as timeless as say, 'waterfall' from the Stone Roses.

  • ur spot on fella! im 25 and i grew up with Britpop. Most kids oday havnt heard of these bands let alone the songs. Razorlight & Kings of Leon, arn't a patch on Oasis, Supergrass, Blur, Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Ash, Dodgy, Ocean Colour Scene etc! Britpop forever 94-97......

  • i think you're forgetting that you can still fully appreciate a band, even if you were only about 5 when they hit the big time. all of my favourite bands were at their best either before i was born or when i was just a tot... but aye.. pulp are unreal. jarvis cocker is indescribable

  • Jarvis is so brilliantly dorky that he's become incredibly cool. Also his lyrics aren't all "ooh baby yeah" , they actually tell a story or a social comment.

  • gahhh the knew him/screw him line is annoying, cos in this version the song doesn't have the same vibe/roughness as the harsh... "screw him". it just makes it sound weaker.
