@pickles1447 Star is brightness the band (mostly the brass) represented darkness. The light covered up the darkness. So it ends on a happy note :D

Awesome show and performance! I did the planets when I was a senior in high school and we came in 9 in 2007 in class 4A (Roma High School); they performed right after you all during prelims. Ironically, the color guard's last movement flag is identical to the one we used. But hands down you performed way better. Congrats!

Wow, please tell the clarinet soloist that they were amazing. I loved and enjoyed listening to them when I was at the alamodome and even more now that it is up here.

I am so proud to be a part of this band and this show as a freshman. It makes me cry to think of the seniors leaving and this season ending. Now that I see what fun marching band can be, im going to stay in band for my whole high school years. I so excited to see what we come up with in years to come.

I never understood how someone could not care about what place they made, or how the judges scored them, but after reading the comments I realized that the best part of marching band is putting on a show that people not only appreciate, but really touches people.

@pwnyofwar it's all about the experience and having a performance that you won't regret...after knowing that you did the best performance you could, the placement really doesn't matter.

@THEEExONEEE It was also amazing to have seen you place :) In the contest I think people were really taken by surprise that underdogs such as ourselves could put forth such great shows. Congratulations on an amazing bronze medal finish, and we hope to see you again in two years :)

Thanks for posting this great video! This was the first band to perform in the finals. The more I see the performance the better it becomes! This is one of those performances that will be looked back on, people will see how excellent it was and ask, "How the heck did it come in 8th place?". It was really really good!

i love this:) everytime i watch i tear up. this was the best preformance i ever had. This show speaks to me in ways i can never explain. i love the show and i love the Dawson Band. WAY TO GO!!
