the Quran says that we should encourage eachother to marriage and that muslim men and women should SHARE SOMETHING SPIRITUAL before getting married. now how is that supposed to happen when in most muslim communities, men and women are not even allowed to talk to eacother? they are not allowed to exchange pleasantries. they are not allowed to get to know eachother. they are not allowed to love. marriages suffer from awkwardness and abuse and it sucks bigtime

@Anotherexchristian well what about the verse in the quran in surah Al-Jinn that says that some of us were created destined for the fire. it sounds like neutral, cold non-dualism to me. it sounds like our choices don't matter. it sounds like heaven and hell is not our choice. but when you use reason and question things like the quran asks you to do, it also says that the same behavior means you're a disbeliever deserving of immense punishment. you can't deny that the surah says what it does

This happens to women in the Islamic world all the time. They are also beaten, burned alive and executed by their families in so called 'honour killings'. Iran recently executed a 16 yr old girl, just because she had sex.
Mohammed himself had women put to death. It clearly says so in the Koran.

However if you decide to read the Quraan and that is your choice, you will find that stoning is not in it, no one (man or woman) is ever subject to burning or honor killing. Prophet Muhamed only faught against people who faught him and never initiated a fight. If you care to brand or condemn a nation, shouldnt you at least do your homework and read about them yourself instead of just repeating

I have no problem to treat Islam as a religion but not as a political force.Under sharia rule, I can not propagate my religion,can not build a new church,can not marry a Muslim girl, no conversion and my testimony is not even valid in a sharia court against a Muslim.I have to pay Jiziya as a symbol of humiliation and treated as second class citizens.It is oppression .90% christian middle east reduced to 2% today.1.Accept Islam 2. Women have a right to divorce in Islam. Culture is something different. America is the land of the free but according to N.O.W. (National organization for women) American women are paid less than men and the most dangerous place for an American woman to be is in her own home. There are bad aspects of all societies for you to nit pick the worst aspects of any society is prejudice and ignorant.

Men are over women in the entire world equal rights is a myth.
