  • very nice butterfly kick!

  • 15 ppl have reeeeaaaaally bad aim and missed the like button! they should appologise.

  • In reality, these whips had all its nine sections embedded with edges.

EMBEDDED, not attached. If it's attached, the whip would cut itself...

This way, you can wrap the enemy, and pull, to mutilate the enemy's skin.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, though.

But most prefer not to use the knife whips, as many could not master it.

  • 1:03

    New dance move?

  • What is that aerial twist move he does at 0:39?

  • @MyChildProdigy im not totally sure but i think its a "butterfly kick" theres an even cooler one called " butterfly twist" too

  • @MyChildProdigy butterfly kick indeed.

  • 1:03 it looks like he's getting fucked on the floor lol! it's just so fucking weird! this is cool but the guy doing it is gay.

  • @trilfy Uh, no it doesn't look anything like that. He's passing the chain underneath his body on each of those motions. Grow up, little boy.

  • @trilfy Wow. Grow up.

  • @trilfy He is gay... you are the one saying it looks like he is getting fucked seems to me like you are the gay one considering you are having gay thoughts.

  • Very impressive

  • Not much of that in Shotokan Karate. Training purely with hands and feet makes you good at using hands and feet.

    Nice dance tho. Lol

  • BRAAAAAAVO!!!!!!!!

  • sweet, beautiful,

    Osu,

    David

  • even though he probably never trains for actual fighting, it would be a scary prospect to fight him empty handed. Even if it rebounds of you and hits him in the face, you would bear the greatest impact. It would wrap around your guard and hit you i the back of the head.

With a pole or sword, you would just need to touch the wip and it would totally mess up his moves, he might knock himself out with it. It would require almost superhuman talent and skill to use this effectively on a battlefield.

  • @louissamuel1 I didnt read pretty much all you said, but i agree

  • @louissamuel1 They were used as a back up weapon if the soldiers pole or sword was lost. Also not doubting your talent, maybe you are skilled enough to do what you say, but I'd think someone who trains with these things would know how to get around someone just trying to deflect it.

  • #1 reason the sword and spear were most used, becuase few people have the skill/time/effort/talent to learn this! very well done. scary as hell if you were fighting him eh?

  • wheres the king fu? thats ballet....

  • @ente214 you obviously don't know much about kung fu

  • Dam, look at him go!!!

  • wow this waz so cool its so awesome

  • is it me or does anyone notice a similarity between this and Ivy from Soul Calibur? Like if you agree

  • 0:45 LOL THE LOOK ON HIS FACE

  • marvelous

  • can't help but think, What if I got into a fight with him

  • Goddamn, absolute weapon of speed!

  • damn he is good

  • The 10 people who disliked this shall get their freaking heads chopped off when they try to do what he did. Freaking amazing.

  • Imagine that guy at a rave!!! With his Glowsticks and what not!!!

  • Ho Lee Qu'rap.

  • this guy would own rythmic gymnastics

  • Living proof that Asians rule the world.

  • @KnifeKitsune7

    Yes...yes they do. XD

    *pride grows 1000x

  • Whip chain is so fun. People think that its dangerous because it is flexible, but centripetal force acting on the chain gives you control. That's why it's fun.

  • The bravery & skill these Wushu practitioners seem to have is absolutely amazing...

  • fucking hell....impossible to get close to this guy

  • Watch it jet lee, someone can loose an eye! (Pretty amazing)

  • Not bad but a sword whip is more dangerous.....It can cut you into pieces... /watch?v=gzxtpg9HKbU

  • Imagine a stone slab just standing around this guy as he does this.

When he finishes, it falls apart into a beautiful sculpture...

  • Ray Mears would have him for breakfast

  • oh please don't eat me..... :'(

  • pshh i can take my greasy chain off from my bike and wave it around too ;-)

  • 9 people are fuckin retarded.

  • @smartass121 language!

  • I have ever seen better

  • holy mackeral i would to be a slave to that guy

  • @crelato lol gay creepy idiot

  • @crelato i'm scared

  • Wow, he is going so fast I can't see what the chain is doing, wish they had a real video camera on that routine.

  • DAMMMMM...you put him in the octagon with one of these MMA faggot ass "fighters" and i guarentee you he wins in less than 10 seconds

  • @wellsm3 You do realize whips aren't alloud in mma?

  • @IMarvin14 lol yes i realize whips aren't allowed in MMA. I was simply appropriating his skill with the whip to what i assume to be a very very high level of fighting skill.

  • @wellsm3 there are also a lot of highly skilled mma fighters that are more adapted to mma rules they would probably pick the guy apart that said his skills are awesome+ after that show he had at least a ton of awesome whip-related pick up lines.

  • and people wonder why china is gonna take over the world

  • Now this is a demo!

  • well done. This guy got a lot of power and tension in his body. If i was a woman, i'd be attracted by that. ;)

  • A viking would kick his ass.

  • @nahing vikings are gone

    wushuers are not

    wushuers win

  • @p4v1l0ndrumm3r Nah, Vikings aint gone. They just be chillin' in valhallah, that's all.

  • i love that back thing favorite part and when he glided in the air

  • Impressive.

  • So ninja assassin IS real...O.O

  • Comment removed

  • @kimandykim

Chinese assassins weren't called ninjas....that's japanese...but i see ur point.

  • @kimandykim Well, this is a chain whip and the weapon in Ninja Assassin was a kyoketshu-shogei, but yeah, either way, its fuckin awesome

  • @kimandykim Actually, the blade on the chain is harder because, everytime you swing the blade. It's gonna come back and hit your body. So you wanna make it so the spine of the blade hits you and not the actual blade itself. Thats... the trouble I had the first time I tried... so I had to unsharpen the blade...

  • @kimandykim Naw, Raizo used a weapon that was similar to the kyoketsu shoge.

  • Must get his number so he can teach me...lol...but only half joking

  • lol the lady in the back ground is just reading a book not even paying attention

  • gotta go indiana jones if he started doing that.

  • imagine in a street fight and he suddenly pull off this weapon and does his moves, lol the punks would be just like wtf!

  • its not kung fu, its wushu^^

  • @dinese1000 ¬ ¬

  • ive seen this dude in google pictures

  • Oooh. Excellent form! Good show!

  • let's see him and gogo yubari fight!

  • Just flat out fucking amazing.

  • hahah this brings back memories. the first time my brother used a chain whip he hit himself in the face and broke his nose, it was great lol. but this is such a beautiful style, well done

  • HOLY SHIT FUCKING CRAZY ASIAN KID!!!

  • @everyone on this thread. It's a wushu competition not a real fight relax, the guy in this video know his stuff.

  • I am learning this but with two chains =)

  • as my master says"FAST SHIT STILL SHIT" but he didnt do bad :)

  • travis wong is a beast with these in the new lxd episode

  • @rarerayrules Japan lost and fled to another land? What kind of history book did you read? Japanese arts were never "combined" with Chinese art, more like, influenced from it. True, China had alot of territories, but Japan was never a part of it.

  • bet he cant do that backwards.

  • damn that kids quick

  • he needs to practice a little bit. lol

  • Great Wushu!

  • umm dont F*Ck with dis guy...

  • Yer i could nail this guy easy....

    I wish...

  • this is where I would use a composite bow, drive the arrow right through the mofo, not tomention I can shoot it while I am on horseback or running away.

  • When Shaolin munks used this weapon they rarely ever actually killed anyone with it, although they were extremely good with them, a skilled warrior on the other end could make easier work of the Chain Whip. So Shaolin monks prefered other weapons like their steel hooks.

  • i wouldn't like to meet him in a dark backalley

  • Get him pissed...You: Well I might be able to beat him...Chain dude: Pulls out chain whip...You: Im Fucked!!!!

  • Wow even a weak person could dish out some serious damage with that velocity! Too bad a chain whip class would be impossible to find...

  • @ChubbyMoogle From what I understand, it's not taught by Japanese martial artists; it is Chinese.

  • I would really hate to get in trouble and get whipped by him. That'll leave a scar.

  • maybe this guy can defflect bullet's with his chani whip

  • this is where a shortbow becomes handy.... cause id have to have a fucking 2 meter sword to have a 30% chance of beating this guy...

  • Nice video there, looks very combat orientated unlike a lot of wushu demos these days being a lot more performance based.

  • @8thsinner That's the point of wushu though; it's basically demonstrative-art version of Kung-fu. Because this is a kung-fu demo, it looks more combat oriented as opposed to just adding flare.

  • Crazy shit!

  • he would fuck me up id be like oh shit!

  • holy fucking christ do not fuck withe him

  • Among other things, the cloth at the end allows the audience to see where the end is. Without it the chain is so fast you won't see anything but a flash.

One mistake and you could really hurt yourself practicing with tihs.

  • HOLY CRAP!! he jumped while he was layin on the floor

  • whip chain in its practical operation was only a secondary weapon, i.e the weapon you'd go to if you dropped your sword.

  • pull that shit out in a fight nowadays and you win by sheer awesomness

  • HOLY FUCK!!!!!!!!!!

  • O_O That was amazing!

  • Don't know what to say...

    Wow..

  • i would really hate to piss this guy off

  • haha

I also train the 9 section chain whip.. but I'm not that great though

  • what is that

  • It's a long metal which is seperated in to nine sections. It stings if you get hit by it. They have a cloth at the end of the wepon to confuse the opponent and to make some cool sounds.

  • @Chilloutppl02

The cloth is not really at the end, but

mostly about 8 inches away from the arrow.

This is what confuses the opponent.

  • @thiscommentsux you can do it with a section of rope or chain, depending on whats available he could kick some serious ass. xD

  • @thiscommentsux dude, thats a grown man :D

  • I admire your work, your really amazing my friend 5*****

  • Thats crazy! its like "skip it" to the extreme!

  • Some people you watch...they're skilled, but flashy. Wankers. They just overact - you can tell. It's a turnoff... But people like this guy are fucking serious. They are all business. That's what I admire. On top of their sick skills....

    Thanks for posting!

  • reminds me of when i play "God of War"

  • It will inhibit some of the movement, but so one can focus more on learning how to control it rather than worrying about it hitting themselves.

  • dude... quit quoting wikipedia and just shutup

  • Definitely not a weapon for beginners, if one does begin to practice this, practice in wide open areas with no people nearby, and focus more on judging where the tip will go in correspondence to the movement of the wrist and arm, rather than how to control the entire whip. If one is truly unsure about their control, it is sometimes suggested that you wrap each section in foam rubber or a similar substance.

  • A chain whip is also harder to master than its sister weapons, the rope dart and the meteor hammer. This is because while the rope dart is soft until you reach the metal tip, the entirety of the chain whip is solid metal and can cause more damage than the rope can if contact is made with the body, especially at the high speeds one makes the whip chain travel at.

  • As with all weapons that are either chained or tied together, the whip chain is hard to control without practice. In fact, it is harder to control than a traditional rawhide or bull whip because the linked sections provide looser joints while a bull whip is one solid piece. The chain whip is sometimes considered one of the hardest weapons in martial arts to use, simply because all you can truly control is the handle you hold.

  • Various twisting or flicking motions cause the chain whip to gain momentum as it unwraps. Chain whip techniques may be combined with jumping kicks and other acrobatics. Double chain whip forms have been developed, as have forms in which a chain whip is coupled with a broadsword.

  • Chain whip forms are often extremely elaborate. In some, the chain whip is thrown in the air and caught, flicked around the neck, or flung around underneath a recumbent performer. One classic technique, used to accelerate a spinning chain whip, involves rapidly wrapping and unwrapping the length of the chain around various parts of the body, including the legs, neck and elbows.

  • The chain whip is heavy but flexible, allowing it to be literally used as a whip to hit, hook and bind an opponent, restrict his/her movement, and to deflect blows from other weapons. The dart is used for slashing or piercing an opponent. In some cases, the dart might be coated with a poison. Because the whip is flexible, it can be used to strike around obstacles, including an opponent's block. The whip chain can be folded and hidden from view, making it an easy weapon to carry and conceal.

  • According to the book Soft Weapons: Nine-Section Whip and Rope Dart, "The nine-section whip, regarded as a 'powerful hidden weapon,' was first used on the battlefield during the Jìn Dynasty (265-420)."

  • A cloth flag is often attached at or near the dart end of the whip, and a second flag may cover the whip's handle. The flag or flags enhance a wushu performance by adding visual appeal, and by producing a rushing sound as the whip swings through the air. They also help stabilize the whip, enhancing the performer's control. This reduces the performer's risk of inadvertently striking himself/herself.

  • The chain whip is a weapon used in some Asian martial arts, including Chinese Martial Arts, in addition to modern and traditional wushu. It consists of several metal rods, which are joined end-to-end by rings to form a flexible chain. Generally, the whip has a handle at one end and a metal dart, used for slashing or piercing an opponent, at the other.

  • yea, that's nice to know, but if i'd have wanted to know all this stupid shit, i woulda just hit up wikipedia the same way your dumb ass did...

  • okay, its called a dojo, set foot in one, practice for five to fifteen years, then you do this "stupid shit" and shut "your dumb ass" up

  • a dojo? i've been in plenty considering i've studied systema, kyokushin karate, sambo, and bataireacht shillelagh fighting. and as for learning to use a chain whip, you give me a chain whip, a snake whip, a bullwhip, or even a tub of cool whip and i'd still beat your stupid ass with it.

  • i apologize, but the cool whip, not so much, ive only studied aikido judo and kendo so u probably could beat me

  • aikido's nice for throws, but it's not cohesive enough to be blended properly with high-impact fighting styles.

  • Awsome..!!!..

  • yeah... cause this is 'kung fu' and thats a chain and/or whip... ¬_¬

  • What grace, yet ferocity!

  • I though that was called a Rope Dart. :S

  • This has no dart, and is a chain instead of a rope. But it has very similar usage.

  • ummmm, lol? that is a rope and dart....

  • one of the coolest weapons ever

  • fuck yea man! fuck yea...

  • that would look so cool If I could do it!! =D

  • Give it a shot, I'm sure it would work out!!!!!

  • probably not legal to carry around for self defense but the look on the would-be attackers face would be priceless.

  • Unless they had a gun =P

  • within the distance that hits and a robber would be, i'd think there's a good chance you could pull the whip out of your pocket with your wallet and give him a good straight on hit with the sharp front point by throwing it forward. Of course depends on how experienced your robber is, if his gun is out thats the risk, if you don't know if he has a gun you could easily beat him too it long as it's one guy. It's usu ally better to just gigve them your money and let them go, even with your own gun

  • You are correct, but when robbed, soft weapon like chain whip will take time to charge, like roll it around your elbow or arm first a couple times, AND THEN you can throw the sharp bit straight

  • carry a 3 food roo-hide snake whip. far more menacing...

  • lol, why?!?!

  • i bought one of these but cant really find any vid that teach how do to some moves

  • me either, and idk if anywhere near me would be able to teach me

  • Its rare to see a video that teaches the chain whip. For the simple reason that it is extreamly diffciult and equally asdangerous ( to the attacker and the pratitioner) so it really requires a teacher. The rope dart is hard but a bit more suitable for learning by vids

  • i like 9 section whips better

  • nice shit !

  • bet his kids are very well-behaved..

  • LMAO. Excellent

  • isnt that thing painful if it hit yourself =_=

  • It's stuff like this that makes me wish that guns didn't exist, that way people who put in the effort would earn their survival.

  • i agree =] guns are for teh weak :D

  • amen to that, where's the fun in pulling a trigger?

  • @hippohome That's... kind of creepy to say, but i do think the same way as well. A world without guns would be a lot more prideful and well...i guess less civil. Weapons in general may seem cool but are only meant to take people's lives. yeah...the earning survival thing makes you sound very.....psychotic if i may put it like that. lol.

  • @hippohome Agree. Anyone can shoot a gun. Who can swing one of these around, and not hit themself?
