He would like education to be taken care of at the local level, giving states more power over their educational decisions. Matters are typically handled more efficiently locally; not to mention this type of system breeds innovation. If one state is losing residents (i.e. tax payers) because they are migrating to states with better educational systems, the state with the inferior system will take notice and move to fix their problem (likely though emulating the systems that work).

considering they took accounts from both sides i would call it fairly even. And logistically speaking it would have been impossible for them to kill even a million people. And like i said even half a million would be nearly impossible considering only about 50,000 people roughly, lived in Jerusalem at the time. Total casualties are estimated at 40,000 including military casualties on both sides during the fighting.

I like Ron Pauls stance on issues according to his website, but this video doesn't do him any justice because he is simply wrong. It wasn't the same people saying it would only take a few months. It has been clear from the beginning that this war would take a long time. He is not being realistic about this war and that's why he won't get the nomination. He would like education to be taken care of at the local level, giving states more power over their educational decisions. Matters are typically handled more efficiently locally; not to mention this type of system breeds innovation. If one state is losing residents (i.e. tax payers) because they are migrating to states with better educational systems, the state with the inferior system will take notice and move to fix their problem (likely though emulating the systems that work).

idk, but I did hear him say that we need to pull out of Iraq, but instead of bringing the troops home, he wants to send them all to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Apparently all the ppl that support him dont know that.

Vietnam??? Are you freaking kidding me. When we cut and ran in Nam, it was a complete disaster you freakin moron. 2 million people died when we pulled out. Glad to know Ron Paul thinks that was fine. I was about to jump on board until this insanity.

gocolts, I believe you are making your decision based on flawed information about the Vietnam War and that is very regrettable. A good start to filling the void of information is to Google - vietnam mcelroy freedom - (no quotes) and find the article "A Lesson from Vietnam" on fff website by Wendy Mcelroy. The article covers prewar history mostly.

(continued)You should be aware that the Pres. Johnson determined early on that the war was not winnable, but he held on because he did not want to go down in history as the first President to lose a war. (Too bad for all of the folks on both sides who lost their lives to preserve LBJ's legacy.) There is a lot of war history that Americans should learn. lewrockwell often has articles that serve that purpose well. Please do a little studying and reconsider making the jump.
