  • I would hate to slip on that ice and flip that bus. has that happened?

  • Comment removed

  • @rushymoto

So what you expect us to say tally ho chaps... get a life you northen idiot.

  • go on ma son!!!! haha lmfao

  • hahahahahahahahahaha Go on my son!!!!!

  • i would have thought buses had better grip than cars

  • lol there's like a millimeter of snow

  • Britain+Snow=Chaos Lol

  • I LOVE the "the bus needs more weight on the drive axle" comments! Its a fucking bus!!!! How much more weight can you get?!?!?!?! LOL however the sounds of it is pretty cool and it was a cheeky we drift...kinda.

  • I love when it snows in London its like life has turned into a game and you never know what crazy shit you're gonna see. Instead of it being everyone in some free for all rat race it becomes the people vs the weather cos nobody knows what the fuck to do. Then there's some smug Norwegian or something laughing at everyone as they waft around with ease, and we're all like whoah, whoah who the fucks this guy?

  • how long was that light green for?!

  • go bus go

  • Cool A+

  • These buses weigh about 12 tons and have an 11 litre straight six truck engine, not to mention a heavy duty auto transmission, rear axle etc, how much more weight do you want on the drive axle?

  • I can picture the iBus on that.

    Eg- ''45- to... Nowhere yet''

  • Give us a push

  • The biggest issue had was the bus itself. Those buses have no weight over the drive wheels because it has a tiny engine. It wouldn't of been an issue at all if there was more weight, plus even if the driver had the slightest bit of snow/ice driving knowledge then it could of driven that out first try but no, lack of weight and knowledge has worked against this driver

  • @fantarule Eh, how on earth would they move with a tiny engine?

  • @fantarule it's London, and most of the bus drivers are asian. Which of those places gets lots of snow?

I'm from london and no-one knows how to drive in the snow, the slightest bit and people freak out and we're told only to make "necessary" journeys. For reference I do know how to drive on the snow, living in the mountains in BC, Canada helps that.

  • get some weight on the drive wheels

  • All you need is a long stretch of carpet and some sand under the driving wheels. Or the government can spend a few more quid on helping to de-ice the roads more thoroughly. Still, the engine sounded good revved up. If anything a good rev would do it wonders as opposed to the constant stop-start treatment.

  • All you need is a long stretch of carpet and some sand under the driving wheels. Or the government can spend a few more quid on helping to de-ice the roads more thoroughly.

  • Sick Drifting

  • Epic fail with automatic transmission

  • @koolyman you try it mate unless your a women then well just stop there lol

  • language

  • which bus?

  • First rule of driving with no traction - don't stop. It's the bus driver's fault for constantly stopping. But yet again, I don't blame 'em. Not many people in London know how to handle snow/ice. lol I'm from Michigan - 6 inches of snow is a common occurrence.

  • @LondonDreads It's the bus drivers fault for constantly stopping and not plowing into other traffic??

  • @007bondspy LOL

  • go on go on my son

  • hohohohoh hohohohoh ah hohohohohoh .

  • I know where this is

    lemme guess

    route 31

    shapherd's bush

  • these driver he should heve use lowest gear and give lots of gas, this is the only way to get out of the snow ;-)

  • @marshalllucky Busses are automatics. Driven one recently?

  • @willewinky yes I am drive the number 8 ( circular) , I heve had many famouse poeples on my bus, in 1987 elton welsby and in 1990 terry nutkins and also many other top celebrite ;-)

  • @marshalllucky "TOP CELEBRITIES" ROTFLMAO Jesus H Christ..YOU NEED TO GET OUT MORE !!

  • @grooverheliboy my aunt, she is very sick ;-(

  • @marshalllucky obviously, you have never driven in snow. you want to choose a higher gear and gentle on the throttle, lug it out. i drive commercial truck in north western canada and thats how we do it..also run tires meant for snow and carry tire chains....

  • @calvinhobbescinnamon my aunt, she is very sick ;-(

  • @calvinhobbescinnamon This, and i'm living in Whistler at the moment lol, even people here (well, visitors from Van and Washington state) have no idea how to drive. I've seen comments here saying that they get 6 inches as a common occurence as if that's a lot... try two feet in a day. Not a rare occurence here. We know how to drive in the snow, lol.

  • Durham got hit quite bad, off school for a week, no buses, hardly any cars or trains either.

  • A Routemaster would NOT have been stuck. Crappy rear engined high-load vehicles can't get the traction. Should have kept the proper buses for years to come.

  • shepards bush

  • half the time i think the bus was having trouble due to the traffic on the road in front meaning he couldnt build up american.

and yep we Southerners are pathetic when it comes to snow and ice.

  • a bit of snow and the southerners complain

  • @MrCumbrian True but i have to say i live in Scotland and we generally are used to snow but last winter was pretty bad even for us and we moaned i had no use of my car for 3 weeks because it was snow bound in 3 ft of snow and our roads were not cleared or gritted regularly because the Government chose to penny pinch yet again, and our trains were not running on some major routes.

  • If that was me I'd tell all the passengers to get out and push or their walking.

  • This is why its bloody stupid to have fully automatic gearboxes on big stuff. HGVs are going the same way too. you get forward, neutral or reverse. thats yer lot, so you can't start in a higher gear to minimise wheelspin

  • and thats y america has trucks with 4x4 but u probly dont know what that means

  • @454streetracer americans have 4wd for 2 inches of snow? well these americans should probably know that they'd be better off: A) just spend $600 on a set of winter tyres. and B) Not buying a pickup because they suck in the snow, 4wd or not. I know, because i drive one for work, in whistler. We get A LOT of snow.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy snow tiers for 600 bucks? ha funny joke and well amybe you work should buy something with a g80 rear locker like what i have and what kind of "truck" does ur work have you drive and if its some dually pos thats probely y u think they suck in snow

  • @454streetracer for a small passenger car $600 is enough for a set of winter tyres. Pickups are shit in the snow period. It's a fundamental problem with pickups, that they have VERY little weight over the back end = shitty on snow. I couldn't care less what locker your truck has, no weight on the back end = poor traction.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy its called sand bags bro for some1 who lives in a place that gets so much snow u really dont know that much i live in the fucking desert and i know this and then when u get stuck u can use the sand bags to get better traction granted yes you will get worse mpg's i would be willing to take that then slipping and slidding into cars, ditches, trees, etc.

  • @454streetracer Yeah, like i wasn't aware of the fact that putting weight in the back of the bed will help with traction... what I disagree with is your suggestion that because you have a big truck with a locking diff, that it's amazing in snow. The fact that you have to put sandbags in there in the first place tells me that pickups are inherently shitty in snow. You ask anyone who owns a pickup around here, they'll admit it. A lot of people own pickups, but not because they're good in the snow.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy you see the word amazine in my comment? hmm weird because i don"t

  • @454streetracer also, just for reference i pulled the same truck as you have out of a ditch here less than a week ago.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy thats nice what do u want? a gold sticker? just because that person didnt know how to drive doesn't mean every body with my truck doesn't

  • if you could still rate yt vids id 5* this 1 but hey ill give you a like

  • So, did Harry Potter make it to the Leaky Cauldron?

  • Well, don't visit Canada in the winter then.....2 inches is a dusting!!!

  • @TheAutomanDan You commented twice. We get it, it snows in canada. God your a punch of dick lovers. And there was about 8 inches were i live in the UK so hardly 2 cm

  • @jackd166 Lol at the webinsults, way to make everyone else look stupid.... 8 inches is still nothing dude. I'm from the UK, and living in Canada. 8 inches comes in just a few hours here, plus a bit. Most people in the UK don't know how to drive in the snow, fact.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy do i give a flying fuck? NO. I was saying that 8 inches was worse than the snow in this video. FACT. And for the UK 8-12 inches (which is what we usually get most years in N.Ireland) is a lot more than most parts of the UK get on average espcially London. So fuck of and die in campy gay canada

  • @jackd166 Yes i am aware that you were saying that 8 inches was more than there is in this video... You also said it in such a manner as if to say that 8 inches is a lot. For the UK, 8 inches is quite a lot. Still shit all compared to here though. I shall fuck off and have another brilliant day skiing in all this snow. Enjoy the rain, asshat.

  • @TheAutomanDan Haha yep here, 2 inches is disappointing :)

  • Loved the video. And especially loved your commentary!! "And AWAY she goes!!!...pretty much." :)

  • what bus was that

  • @kikaelgi9 Volvo B7TL with a Voith Gearbox.

  • He should have made a couple of "donuts" for the road.

  • this should happen to those 'bendy buses' :P

  • Ever try an on spot chain system...If your not gonna give the buses a decent tire for winter, least let them drop on spot chains down on the road...Tally ~ Ho...

  • @glk001 Have you ever been to London? lol.

  • @rockshox101avidjuicy Sadly no, but I sure would like too one day...One grand thing about the web, I've made a few friends in the UK, and I love to visit em...Maybe in the summer...lol...

  • the drivers should not work on the snow days! is danger!

  • The wheels of the bus go..

    Oh, nevermind.

  • @motorbreath1983 round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round and round... the bus however, still standing there

  • The old routemasters would have barged their way through the snow. And their drivers were trained to deliberately skid the bus in either rain or snow. Do bus drivers now get the same training?

  • Montréal shuts down at 40cm of snow, and London 2 hahaha

  • If the gritters have been out or not and if its 1 inch or 10 inch on the roads the idiots sat in their nice warm offices will still send people out to work in it. then complain when the vehicle, property or people get damaged. its the edn of november now and its just started snowing all of the UK again. every single one of our Deckers and Coaches are all out this week either on Tour or doing school runs. we have over about 70 vehicles i wonder how many get back alright =/

  • Comment removed

  • why did the subway closed?

  • that could happen on thursday we are forcast for snow in the east

  • Vehicles should have winter tyres. They make life so much easier. Here in Switzerland they are mandatory. The idea of a public vehicle running on regular all-weather tyres in winter is ridiculous.

  • @NekroStevo agreed but why would anyone in London buy winter tyres? In Switzerland you get a lot of snow. In Scotland, they get a fair bit of snow, in London, they might get an inch in a year. Snow tyres aren't worth it for that one day.

  • southerners. an inch of snow means there's no go. Northeners. ruddy snow!

  • @philipreynolds1997 i moved to london a few months ago and its started snowing i dont mind, but they go on about it down here like its suphuric acid falling!

  • bus drift!

  • When our school bus (Stagecoach obviously...) went over a village roundabout, and got stuck, because it was snowy as well, we were made to get out and PUSH the bus. It was hilarious. But not recommended. 30-40 school pupils pushing a bus through the snow. Only stagecoach :)

  • crap box bus - Routemaster would have had no problem

  • Cool vid !

  • Most used the temporary low floor single bus better or no longer services. Should be check the weather before suspended local bus for the rest of day! Oh dear what of those bus try moving out to the garage!

  • shame on the bus lol. Thats fooking funny! Go on ma sun!! LMAO xx

  • go on go on haha lol

  • scarey lol

  • was this in bexley, eltham, lewisham, blackheath or peckham?

  • you need a land rover for that kind of terrain my friend, just kidding!

  • At least push it with some ppl, that would of helped...

  • "if this carries on all night I won't have to go to work tomorrow!" "owh ye-hah!"

  • '

why not this bus can use chain tires on it

  • @bestamerica nobody carries snow chains in the UK, snow is a pretty rare occurance, hence why it always has a major effect here, nobody is used to it, and people don't even have winter tyres. our climate tends to be mild with rain more likely than snow in the winter, we normally just tend to get the tail end of whatever weather the east coast USA is having

  • mrspivvy,

    '

    okay thank explain

  • huskie u wee wee knob, shut up! lol

  • @reefakt haha its a good job i found that funny lmao

  • Wow, must be that global warming induced snow that caused all of this.

  • These modern buses are not much cop in the snow

    not like the old timers.

  • bus doing a wheel spin brill

  • The doors are in the middle now? I remember them at the tail.

  • wow, "go on, go on son" good bus, this video makes me laugh, the UK expects snow all the time but when it comes it cripples the country!

  • double deckers look so gay

  • least no one seems to have filmed my bus going up abbeymount in edinburgh.....i really was sideways going up that hill lol, adds to the fun

  • Just proves modern buses with all the latest HI-TEC crap on them. Traction Controll???? lmfao what a joke.

  • Just proves modern buses are crap Traction Controll??? hahahahaha what a joke.

  • Quickly, move all the passengers to the rear over the wheels! lol. This driver is shit. haha

  • noob

  • Chop Chop, Tally Ho, Tea Time, Crumpets! (What's a crumpet?...An Old woman?)

The announcer is a Bro...A British YO.

He's be a ghetto dweller in America!

  • England (Great Britain) has been enjoying the effect of altantic stream for centuries.

One of the thoeries or predictions (whatever you like to believe) of Global Warming is (potentially) shutting down of that ocean stream.

This would me the above "warm day" in England ... England would look mostly like ... Canada. Snow would be a norm, not 'extraordinary event'

    sincerely

  • loooool are u fuckin kidding yo im from canada we dont even call that snow we call that fleuries loooooool thats actually sad

  • stupid london twat

  • @reefakt fuck you, you cunt

  • In America 20 inches of snow most things as usual.

In England 2 inches of snow and the country is in chaos

  • So true haha

We aren't prepared for any though like America is, because we just don't get it enough for it to be worth spending money to do it.

  • @ismartyparty yeah but america gets more snow than we do

  • go on my son lol

  • london got shut down because of 2 inches of snow what a load of shit

  • @1993gandy It takes a lot more than a few sprinkles of snow flakes to shut down NYC. I cant believe our idiot mayor Bloomturd is trying to take lessons from London.

  • @1993gandy so ignorant

  • @Gooonns ok im sorry 4 inches

  • @1993gandy here in maine 9 inches is nothing

  • @benpie12 thats wat she said

  • @benpie12 Lucky Maine women!

  • @1993gandy just the past 4 days we got over 35cm of snow and NOTHING was affected by it, other then some peoples wallets from visiting the body shops =)

  • @1993gandy I MOVED TO LONDON THREE MOTHS AGO AND THE SNOW IS FALLING OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW... now as a northerner this common sight i think "oh snow men and snow balls etc" london transport i suppose are after the day off

  • @1993gandy Washington is the same way. Hill Billys are skeered of snow.

  • @1993gandy , that's what you get if you don't prepare the salt in time and leave a rainy wet road to freeze up, which is what happend in london, 2 inchs can be very dangerous, we was a little more prepaired for it in december, but not enough for airports, mind you, they were more too blame.

  • @1993gandy you are a dumb ass.

  • @docmichael69 clearly gangsta

  • @1993gandy My hometown was much worse! almost 2 feet of snow, NO services what so ever.

  • @1993gandy Does South Africa get snow??

  • @jackd166 no but i have been living in england for almost 11 years now and this is the first time i have ever heard of a major world city getting shut down because of 2 inches of snow

  • @1993gandy You have obviously never been to Paris when it snows. Didn't New York also have trouble with the snow this winter? And it wasn't 2 inches, it was 9 inches of snow. Does the words "HEAVIEST SNOWFALL FOR DECADES" mean anything to you people?

  • @SonicGeneration if you take a look at the bus just by the wheels you will notice that there is 2 inches max

  • @1993gandy I dont see a problem with that, have you seen the damage snow can cause? Even the smallest amounts. It would be different if the UK were prepared for it but we never are, got more important things to do like...raise petrol prices and ruin the lives of young people

  • @Footrockofdoom Don't go on the young people tangent - they are destroying the lifes of all, pensioners, single mothers, 40 year olds who have been made redundant and can't get a job again, those over 50 out of work but don't even have the chance on getting on the job ladder again.... yes young people are struggling but don't go on the tangent - if you want to fight - fight for all because like it or lump it one day you will be 20, 30, 40 and if healthy and survive drunken drivers - 50+ -

  • @KelticWoman1 You really shouldnt generalise all young people like that, its really unfair. Im young and people like myself that follow the law and want to get out in the world and live a good honest life...cant...because i must suffer because of other stupid kids ruining the lives of the elderly. Its not my fault, i respect my elders and even work in 2 charity shops with the elderly. Please...keep your dumb comments to yourself

  • @Footrockofdoom I wasn't generalising young people in any way at all - if you misinterpretated me then go and read what I said again - you said young people were being hard done by - I stated all ages are being hard done by right now - if you think me saying that it's hard on fathers losing their jobs and thinking that meant I was slating young people - what hope is there!!! Didn't mean the last bit but just had to chuck it in for the hell of it.

  • @KelticWoman1 Ah it was your grammar, thought you were stating the young people are "destroying the lifes of all". You're also getting ahead of yourself, i havnt reached those ages yet so all i know is what im experiencing right now, but when i do my views will be updated. I cant brag what i about what i dont know

  • COME ON BACK IT UP MR LUVER

  • hahaha i wasnt suprised with vid, but number 31! that goes past my school at chalk farm lmao

  • @SaradominNUB haha i also catch the number 31 in my town :)

  • @huskie89 Where do you live? White City? Swiss Cottage??

  • @SaradominNUB nah up in north yorkshire, its a loca white bus that runs around town

  • 0:45 santa is in london :)

  • Ho ho ho :)

  • @SAINTspFilms

    Father Christmas.

  • should be a volvo B7TL...

    any Kickdown to apply?

    only DNR? no 123?

  • Ha he as made my day!!!!!! lol

  • Hear the rev's on the Volvo Wright... was that the 31?

  • Sarah you really are a dumb bitch & dont know what you are talking about, you try mving a 12 tonne automatic bus in the snow pissant

  • Owned.

  • @sarah19766 yep they are that! 2 ofmy mates have been hit by the fuckers

  • Why didn't he just leave it instead of revving

  • Chains??

  • traction controls does helps here? coz they've been making buses with traction control nowadays...cool vid

  • it would HELP but Traction control, ESM, and ABS brakes do NOT replace proper driving experience and skills.

  • You must not have understood what Inu1294 was saying.

He was saying that it makes no difference because at the end of the day its down to the driving experience of the person operating the vehicle.

Traction control doesn't select the right gear, nor does traction control know how much pressure to put on the gas (accelerator).

  • Correct, Most of the time Traction Control just backs off the throttle until the tires stop spinning. ESM basically just taps the brakes on certain tires. And ABS just pumps the brakes under hard braking to keep them from locking up. In a Situation like this, Nothing would beat a manual transmission due simply to the fact you have much more control over how much power you send to the wheels.

  • FORESTHILLZGANGORDIE:

Go and fuck yourself you kiddie arsehole.

  • this driver has a psv?
