I always get weird looks when I say I loved labor! Haha! But it was such a cool experience and it couldn't have gone better for me. I had a natural birth so I felt him come out which was the coolest thing to feel his little body parts and soft skin! That was a huge bonding moment for me. I had the lights off so that he wouldn't be blinded when he came out, and also did skin to skin and breastfed in the fist hour of his life. This is a great series, I am a huge believer in close bonding!
Yes! This is me n my husbands first baby! So we r over the moon excited! Lol we r having a birth at the hospital which I've heard crazy things about :( so with our next I hope to have a midwife :)
@Aboki36 AH, THATS SO EXCITING!! Don't worry, not all hospital births are bad. I've heard great things about some hospital births. That's great, I loved having both experiences because I have both perspectives, so go for it!! Good luck (: You have to let me know how it goes.
this is a great topic I didnt had the chance to bond with my son until the next morning cause he was born so big they were worried that his sugar was high or something so he had to spend the night in observation which sucked and made me a lil sad but as soon as they bring him in the morning I spent all the time watching him touching his skin talking to him and looking how perfect he is <3 aww is the best feeling ever
My birth bonding experience was amazing. My son was born in the tub, immediately put on my chest and not taken from my arms until being weighed about an hour after birth. I culdn't have asked for a better experience! He didn't cry for a while, and we spent a long time looking at eachother and I got to hold him and love all over him. It was beautiful!
i too had an experience of birth bonding with my lil one who is now 6 months old. I had a water birth similar to yours but in a birth center. She was so quiet after the birth and I waited to have the umbilical cord cut so we can cherish the moment. The only time she was out my arms was to weigh her and for her newborn exam. Unlike my first child she was breastfed right away.
@brownsugar9697 Wow, that sounds amazing (: I love hearing about other births. Every birth is so beautiful & special. I'm so glad you agree on that quiet time. From TV I always imagined babies being born screaming & crying & just a big mess. With my 1st born, he was taken to the NICU immediately so I didnt get that but with my 2nd it was so different.
You are amazing :) I had felt a little nervous about giving birth as the fact I'm 31 weeks n getting close but you talking about bonding n ur experience has made me feel excited n feel at ease. I so can't wait to bond with my baby girl I know its going to b wonderful. Thank u for such a great video!!!!
