Wait a minute, so you say your in the uk so my question is if there is a target, walgreens but I think I heard whole foods and you should have a beauty supply store there for ethnic hair? So I believe they sell kinky curly products at the least.
i once used the fantasia gel and it dried my hair terribly. I switched to mango and lime locking wax. I twist at night and untwist in the morning. i spray a little water or hair softner and it feels light bouncy and looks rich. It can be a little greasy if you put too much so only use a little.
Cherrylola , you are truly beautiful !, Your hair and you are sweet and honest, keep naturals,, i have a question . do you color you hair ? and you let your hair air dry? or you do something else, keep posting videos and don´t go back ...
my hair is incredibly thick and a similar texture to this, how can i get it more curly when dry? when wet it smooths out at becomes curly but as soon as it dries that goes O_O
Your hair looks great! Keep the videos coming. I wish I could help you with the dryness issue but I have the same problem and I'm looking for some resolution. Thanks again
I love coconut oil and shae as well (unrefined shea)... I have also heard that aubrey organics B5 gel works wonders which I am gonna try.. I know they sell it at whole foods here so maybe they sell it there.
Coconut oil has helped me combat dryness. Jojoba oil has also been great for me. For some reason my hair can only use shea butter when it is mixed with something else like Aloe vera gel or something. It's just too thick for me because my strands are too fine and thine. I also use Teri's hair care method on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. You can find it at tightlycurlydotcom
Your hair is so pretty and your videos are great. I'm in my 3rd month of transitioning well 3 months will be this Thursday. I am really excited about going natural so these videos really help. Keep posting.
Love your hair! I know this is late, but I think that i have the same Fantasia IC gel that you purchased. When I use it, I only use it when my hair is wet and i have already applied a moisturizer to my hair before applying the gel. To make sure that my hair is coated well, I section it off, apply the moisturizer, then use the gel. Hopefully this helps (if you still have the gel with you)!
Oh... and as for suggestions... Coconut Oil is supposed to be fantastic, i've been using it along with Shea butter and Suave conditioner and my hair has been very soft and moisturised.
A big congrats to you on your bc! Your hair looks beautiful! I am in the "awkward phase" where it is not exactly a twa but not long enough to put in a pony. I can't wait to get to your length!!
Hey Cherrylola! What a good dicision to go natural! Your hair is amazing! What hair type do you have? I think we have the same kind of hair I don't know my type either:S (I think 3c). I'm trying to find products that are not expensive but work good. I'd love to see more video's of you, hope to see you soon!
U are a very kind hearted person and your video is very inspiring i think i might go back to pantene on stick to my mizani...but kepp the vids coming.
Just in case you haven't had enough advice...try something with honey in it. Honey is a humectant, meaning that it draws moisture from the air and retains it in your hair. I used to do a deep conditioning treatment with honey (can't anymore because I just started Sisterlocks) and it worked wonderfully.
A water and glycerin mix might help you also. I put some jojoba oil, coconut oil, castor oil and a little tea tree oil in my mix and it works great. I put equal amounts of water to glycerine and then a few splashes of each oil. I hope you find something works for you. Your hair is beautiful!
Hello! I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm in the UK too. Been natural for a yr & 3 mnths. Looking at how beautiful your hair makes me wonder how we ever felt we needed to put chemicals in.
Pls could u tell me the channels of any other natural vloggers in the UK? It would be fantastic to share info about the best products to use here.
Hmm, I wonder if there are any all-natural/organic (& affordable) product lines in the UK, now that would be an ideal situation!
Wow,wee, look at all of that beautiful hair you have been hiding. Your coils & curls are beautiful! Using a leave-in conditioner on my natural hair helps me with moisture. I use Giovanni Direct Leave-in (no cones) and then I apply coconut or grapeseed oil to my hair.
You can also try a water-based moisturizer and then apply an oil like extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil. Aloe Vera Gel also works well for natural hair if the IC is drying out your hair.
Your hair is beautiful natural! I really hope after the year is up you choose to stay natural. For moisture shea butter is excellent and when using the ic gel I found the vegeteble glycerin/water mixture is great for countering the dry effect. Be encouraged on your natural hair journey
your hair looks beautiful natural! the shea butter should definitely keep your hair moisturized...i use it on damp hair and twist to lock in the moisture. try to get grade A...it's the best.
check and see if the ic fantasia gel you have is alcohol free b/c there is two type one is alcohol free and the other is not. The ic gel I have doesnt smell like watermelon or anything in that category so maybe you just have a different type and that could be the reason why it dries your hair. Congrats on ur descision to go natural GOD BLESS!!!
Congratulations on your new natural hair! It is beautiful. I have been natural for about a year now and am still searching products that keep my hair moisturized. I look forward to more videos from you. I am a product and you tube junkie on natural hair. I will post videos in 2009 on my natural hair journey soon! Hope you are natural for life, lol.
Wow- congratulations!!!! Your hair looks absolutely fabulous. Im glad you had more length than you expected, it helps:-) IC fantasia dried my hair out too and we have similar textures so you may want to try bedhead control freak for frizz and curl definition. Bedhead is a TIGI product and I think they are from the UK so hopefully you will be able to find it. Dont forget a satin pillow case and/or bonnet. It will help keep your hair from drying out overnight. Peace
