I saw them in Philadelphia on Thursday, and they are both undoubtedly talented, but it seemed like kyle couldn't hit the high notes... but christy was great and the show as a whole was amazing. Anyone who appreciates broadway should go see it! :D

i saw both of them (twice) in st. louis and they are both fabulous! while i do love jonathan groff a TON, kyle is soooo much better than hunter parrish! i could not stand hunter's voice... he may be hot without a shirt on weeds but that doesn't make him a good melchior...kyle and christy sound beautiful!

I don't think you can judge Kyle by this video. I'm not saying it isn't fantastic, because it is. But I just saw him in the SA tour last night, and he sounded much more 'musical theatre' than he does here. This version is more pop-rock-non-theatre than it is in the show. Just saying. =]

Jack. And I'm going to have to disagree with you. I've seen him in Spring twice when he was on broadway, and I saw him at Joes Pub preforming his own music. He adds an element to Spring which is that of a pop musician. This song is a perfect example. Listen to how its played. Listen to his left behind, and john groffs. He sings completely through his nose.

But the character that he is playing is really the least "rocky" and more musical theater, but i do agree he isen't supposed to have a traditional musical theater voice. But on the other hand, he completely sings through his nose. which is no "standard" in rock, unless you count boy bands..

Those are the best pairings, I think. Though I'm not fond of Kyle's acting. I also love Eryn/Jesse together. I think that Phoebe and Skylar would do a good job, too.
