I notice Steve Rothery uses a lot G,B and E strings for his solos, and it's a proof he just wants to aim his music on the way of intense melodramatic feelings: clear and whining sound is perfect !
Couldn't remember the title so I typed "your perimeter of courtiers jerk like celluloid puppets, and you stutter.." Anyway, great job. With so much good material (82-86) it's mind-boggling the original group members aren't multimillionaires enjoying world-wide recognition.and fame. I'll be checking your other covers. Cheers.
Excellent - one of my favourite solos, had I shut my eyes I maybe would have thought it was the man himself ! It's inspired me to learn it, but I doubt I'll get anywhere near your version - for a sample of my lack of technique, check out my attempt at the Maggie Mae intro on YouTube.
Well done mate,it's on of the most emotional solos of Steve R. and prog rock music, everytime i hear it my skin crawl I f...in' love it,and i want to learn it,but without tabs I can't ,so if you have would you share please...

@CheviCamaroSS oh yes, but not only that. Also a Strat, a Roland JC120, g great vibrato and perfect timing.
I think its nearly impossible to simulate/copy Rotherys sound, at least i never heard a nearly perfect one.
I mean i heared perfect "copys" of nearly all the great guitarists but never....maybe also because Rothery is not that popular?!

belongs to S.Rothery for creating this

That absolutely SOARS!!! You should be touring with Fish because that young guitarist he's got is pretty weak with the older Marillion stuff.

I've been a fan of marillion for 25 years now, heard allot of attempts at their music, that was one of the best I've heard
