it goes power, send, return and online. of course your gonna have power. if it stays on send its because there is not enough signal going to the modem or there is a damage in the line. if it stays on return. its most likely the drop outside. the modem is getting enough signal but is not getting back to the head end. have it replaced.

I have the same modem for my internet and mine did the same thing if you connected it to another computer you need to press the reset button to get it connected to a different computer each time...

Have this problem but mine doesnt dissconnect and connect as often as yours mine only messes up like 1 or two times a month or when i go wireless on my computer for a long time The POWER DS lights only stay on while the US Light is blinkning and the REST are off PLEASE help MEEE!!! apreciate it THNX..

That looks like an upstream/downstream issue. It would come and go like that. Good chance it's in installation of the modem. Those Aries are pretty reliable when properly installed.

Try unplugging the power to the modem for like 10 minutes, then plug it in. It's cycling on & off trying to get and IP address so you can connect online. Could be due to a bad (loose or broken) cable line outside coming into your house. When the internet and phone dies, can you watch TV? If yo can, call Comcast and tell them to get their lazy asses over to your house and correct the problem. You're paying for this service. Threaten to switch to DSL if it's not resolved. Hope this info helps.

you cable company can restart you modem by sending signal to it from there network so yes it not a weird thing that modems restart themselfs

also they can do it it with cable boxes also but somtimes you may actauly need to unplug power to reboot power cycle

Try moving the speakers away from the modem. Speakers can effect the connectivity of your modem if your speakers are right next to it.

I have that problem sometimes .. what I do when it happeneds is unplug the Ethernet cord and the phone line (if equipped ) and unplug the power cord for about a minute ... then plug the power cord back in .. and WAIT for all the lights on the box to quit blinking ,After that you plug the Ethernet cord back in .. and phone line ( if equipped ) Then it should work after doing that .. <unfortunately. it doesn't fix the promlem forever .

The same thing happened to me a while back. It's probably a broken cable in your area.  If you call Comcast they'll come over and fix it, unfortunately, their customer service is horrible. It took them a week to finally get to my house and even after they left it didn't work. It took almost two weeks before it was back up and running. Hopefully, they will be more helpful to you.
