I'm sorry. My bunny passed away yesterday & I'm devastated. She was almost 12 years old... We'd been friends a long time.

All the more reason to adopt from shelters, which are overcrowded and all the reason to really check the background of the breeder. Their is not alot of info out their & their is alot of inbreeding which leaded to malices. Not that that was the case of your buns, just saying. And I a so sorry for both of your losses. I had to adopt mine out when I lost my apartment, I still hurts that I had to give her up. I know she has passed now because ometimes I feel her presense. She was about 14 or 15.

He had bad teeth alignment so his teeth didn't stop growing and it hurt him to do the things bunnies need to do to keep them trimmed. So we were having surgery to help correct it, and he died after they gave him the anesthesia. One of the saddest days of my life. :-(

@apriljoy2  I'm so sorry to hear, he was so cute and sweet. My adorable and loving bunny died recently at the age of 7 1/2 from advanced cancer. She'd had anesthesia several times throughout her life for teeth problems and also to remove a breast tumour. My vet used isoflurane, it's supposed to be the best for rabbits which are fragile animals because its easier to control the dose and monitor. I wish I'd spayed her, the vet thinks she got uterine cancer first which is common in females .

He is absolutly beautiful! Im so glad to find someone who actually did research before getting their bunny. My bunny passed away recently, but he used to kiss me all the time. Wiskers kissing you is the ultimate term of affection. He loves you very much. Enjoy him everyday!!!!
