The song is called "La Mujer Perfecta" by Victor Hugo. Victor was born in Venezuela and is a self-proclaimed Salsa singer. Salsa music originated in Cuba and is now popular in other Spanish-speaking Caribbean islands such as the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
I therefore uphold my opinion that this an entirely appropriate song choice for a video designed to demonstrate the geographic breadth of the Hispanic culture.
I'm still surprised about how many spanish language related videos have caribean music in the backround. That's fine if you are doing a video about certain countries.
It's just like if I did a video about Australia, England, Canada or South africa with reggae music in the background just because all those countries and Jamaica share the same language,
