Carbon fiber!?! - Sure it is... in lyar lyar land. I know for a fact that the chinese can build good stuff, but so much crap comes form China, only to land in the garbage after being used a very short amount of time - and I suspect this is one of those things.
My car alarm is not an alarm. It allows the car thief to drive away in the car and then activates an electric pump that sprays one quart of hydrochloric acid on the driver crotch.
I leave my car parked with the windows open and the keys hanging right in the ignition.
@superstormj What??? Its an alarm, what do you think it sounds like, ummm maybe the other million alarms that all sound damn near the same as all the rest.
This is garbage. I had the exact same one. Thieves can completely disable in less than 1 minute and WITHOUT the alarm going off! Your only hope with this device is an honest thief!
@timpa666, yes it is a scam. cheap quality. i bought top of the line asian wolf alarm for $300 and it was cheap. will not buy and recommend for others do not buy.
Am I the only one that doen't understand what she means? I understood it all till: This unit comes with 2 AM carbon Fiber 2 way LCD pager remotes. What the? Did the person that narrated even know what she/he meant? lolz :D
@Firedan1176 it means that if someone is breaking into ur car, and ur within half a mile from ur car, it will tell ur LCD pager remote that a break is is happening and also which part of the car its on. ive watched other videos, pretty cool i think. and it also means u can start ur car half a mile away! i always wanted to park my car a few blocks from my house in the winter! haha
@Thetdubs12, you would have to put the antenna high in the car to reach more distance. asianwolf alarms are cheap quality. i bought the top of the line asianwolf for $300 and it was bad i am not satisfied with asian wolf product.
@Firedan1176, it comes only with one carbon fiber lcd and one without lcd. save yourself some money and do not asianwolf product. a regular remotestart alarm like viper with a black fob is good enough. asianwolf alarms are cheap quality. i bought the top of the line asianwolf for $300 and it was bad i am not satisfied with asian wolf product.
hey you can by pass the alarm by disabling the no start switch. if you do not know what you are doing with electronic wiring, then i recommend you take to a shop to have them remove the no start switch. you can still use the no start switch even though you have turned off the no start switch.

they should have an option to electrocute the car thief or lock door and window controls and fill the cabin with mustard gas, nerve gases, and chlorine gas all at once. don't fuck with my car, foo!!

I hope this is not the product that some random car parked across my building that had been alarming intermitently non stop for 4 hours until I had to call the cop to STFU! The cops came picked the lock, opened the hood and removed some circuits to make it stop. Our whole building could not sleep from this failed alarm system.
The owner came at around 12am. Had to hire a cab to jump start its engine, it looks like the alarm drained its batteries. I'd stick to my car's passive anti theft kit!
What I dont like about car alarms is in most car Electrical parts run all over the car and they just tap into wires and what Not! Ever car I seen with car an alarm installed out side of the actual car dealerships just do more damage and harm then good! I've been working on cars since I was 10 now Im 26 and Ive seen some wild stuff! Yah Lets have some 18-22 year old install a car alarm in my car I think NOT!
I have it. Fellas Be sure to find out if your car keys have chip in it. If so ur gonna have to get a second key to bypass the alarm.. If you don't every time u want to start the car it's gonna ask for the key in the ignition so it will sputter and after 3 tries it will stop and page u to tell u it's unable to start the car
A good way to prevent theft or at least the same person from trying to steal your car multiple times, make a diagram of all the wire colors and then cut and put different colors wire together and solder them so when it comes to someone trying to hot wire car instead of touching the correct color wires which might have been blue and green, now have red and black wire ends. So when they touch the blue and green ends, which supposedly starts the car will then blow the 100lbs of C4 in the trunk. HA!
@hornet28610 Hah ha and loose the car anyway? Id rather have it stolen lol. Anyway except for the blowing up part some security systems actually use that concept. ive seen ones with all black wires
I bought a car for parts that had one of these on it. I would have liked to keep it (the alarm) but it was too much of a hassle to remove before I sold the shell of the car.
The problem I had is finding someone to install this unit. No one want to mess with it[install it]. I tried 7 different pro remote start installers and nobody wanted touch it. But I finally got somebody to do it for $150 and they usually charge $80. The reason why others didnt want to install it is because it wasnt brand that they were familiar with. And thats why I got charge $70 more. My installer did it out of his garage as a side job. He installs for Best Buy.
All car alarm and remote starters install the same way, think about it - they all have to tap into the same wiring on the car to accomplish the same thing.
Installers who want to charge you more are just pissed that you didn't buy it from them.
That's probably true to a certian degree. but some installers did say they would install dEi brands(Viper) not purchased from them. But every time I would mention that it was an asianwolf brand thats when there was a problem.
Another problem I had was that ocurred once is that the remote start started to lose range for about an hour. But like theday runninglights incident it corrected its self. Besides the blinker noise issue everything is fine now. I gonna take it back to my best buy pro installer to try and correct the blinker noise. I had it for about a week now. Im hoping everything works out with this remote start/alarm because I like it. So I hope it will stand the test of time. Im planning a video respone soon
I got this remote start and had it install by a geek squad best buy agent Jan 2010. Everything worked great when I picked my Tahoe up the first night. The next day my day running lights and brake warning along with park light warning dash light started switching back and foward while I was testing the features. That lasted for about 15min and did not do it again. Then and still the blinker light noise started goin off. Just the noise no lights but everything is still working right save the noise
That thing is a piece of crap. It has no range as it is AM instead of FM and all 2 way starter/alarms have the same features but are not made by chinese children.
I actually have one of these. The same one in the video. Good to know that it can last more than 4 years. I think the installer might of rushed though the process.
if you have to remind yourself to put your car in neutral then get an automatic cuz you r officially a dumbass. never leave a man. tran. car in gear that is not a proper "parking" method.
If you leave a manual vehicle in neutral when you park it the only thing that is stopping it from rolling away (on an incline) is the handbrake.
So by selecting a gear when you park you are somewhat helping the handbrake by
delivering some engine braking to the wheels.
You do realise that when you put an automatic vehicle into PARK you're effectively locking the transmission and inhibiting the rotating ability of the driving wheels.
You wouldn't leave an auto in Neutral... Why a manual?
This isn't new, besides you can get this at autozone or pepboys etc. for a 100,I would not reccomend this product,ya its good for show but it does damage some of the internal electricals in time because I had the same on a 2002 Civic Si,for manual you just have to bet that ur ebrake is strong enough and have to remind your self to put it on neutral, but like i said this product i'd rather not recommend it unless it is for show.
it wont engage if the car is in any gear exept for N . and even if you dont have that feature on your car then if the gear is engaged and your handbrake is on the car is gna stall anyway
HAHAHA.... What drugs are you on man? What the hell is wrong with leaving a manual car in gear when you park it?
If you had any sense at all you would understand that leaving it in gear actually takes some of the load off the handbrake cable and assists the car is staying parked on steep inclines.
I should get rid of my license? Coming from someone who can barely put together a sentence with correct grammar... Are you even of driving age?
Hahahahhahahahahaahhahaahahahahah thats officially the best comeback i ever saw!!!! lol congrads man. I dont even drive stick and i Dont kno how to reply to that lol
@alexfair8589 Leaving a manual car in gear when you park it is an old thing. It prevents the car from 'jump starting' if it was somehow hit/pushed hard enough and ‘driving’ down the road. Cars these days are better equipped to prevent this; also it allows you to start the car without pushing in the clutch, again an old thing. So that person was not on drugs nor losing their senses, just was taught the old way, both was are appropriate and an individual choice.
If you think that putting a car into gear when parking is a problem, maybe YOU need to sell YOUR car and get rid of YOUR licence.
By talking shit like that, you are only making yourself look like an un-educated fool. Quit smoking crack, learn proper grammar, stop fucking your sister and get back to reality.
Take your right hand -> Form a fist -> Give yourself an uppercut.
auto start!? i know lets start my car from half a mile away so that any thief can just hop right in and drive away. what if you set if off by accident? assuming it doesn't get stolen it's still gonna guzzle fuel till you realise. worst idea ever
Just get air springs protected with a keypad and lower that thing to the ground after parking. that way the only way u can get towed is with a forklift. And, even if they start the car they won't get anywhere.
it doesnt matter how much the alarm is. the question you should ask is, "where can i get it installed". most reputable shops will not install 3rd party units. and if you find one that does, they will probably charge you a higher price and they wont guarantee proper installation.
i own a 2003 mercedes bens ml500 and I need to know if this remote starter can be install and if so will this remote starter cause havoc to my electrical system
@romeo,i bought an asianwolf car alarm color lcd-top of the line.my alarm does auto start my car half mile away when you place the antenna high on car.my car alarm always go off in the middle of the every night and even in day time, giving me false sense of real car break in.the false alarm on my car sends the signals to the fob-drains battery-so it last only a week.the carbon fiber faded like within a week so it's not top quality at all.i am disappointed and would not buy any asianwolf product
@evank9x, not worth your money. just buy other regular remote start with black fob. the lcd fob is pointless. fob use tripple AAA battery and does not last long at all. the quality of asianwolf is not all that. i bought one and it sure goes off like in middle of the night for no reason.
pretty much any car audio place will install it..they just charge a crap load if it isn't the ones they sell.. i bought one at the asianwolf web site for about 200 and ever where I've priced to put it on has said 300 or more. but i got the one with pretty much everything the remote start the window module all that
Also, the 2,500 foot range is highly dependent on buildings, etc. For me, it worked in pretty good somewhat open conditions from around 100 yards away. In downtown it worked anywhere from 2-5 blocks away.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Starting a car and leting it warm up before driving off, not only wastes fuel, it is not good for the engine. It is much better to start the car and then drive off straight away.
In arctic (below 0F) weather, you want to let the engine warm up a bit before you start driving it since extreme cold can be hard on engine parts if you push it too hard. You also need to let it warm up enough to defrost the windows, because if you start driving right away, they'll frost up so you can't see where you're going.
And one more thing, sitting on cold vinyl (for those that might still have vinyl seats) can crack it.
no it's not good for to drive off straight away!... u have to let it warm for a bit about 30sec to a 1min on warm hot days, but during cold weathers like during winter u have to let it warm up as 5mins-10mins!!
Oh and just to let everyone know, you CANNOT use the remote start AND turbo timer features with the manual transmission version of this alarm (you can use one or the other). You CAN however just install the automatic trans. version in your manual car (disable/unplug the clutch start switch or use relay). But be SURE to never leave it in gear as it can lurch forward.
when you use the remote start do the doors stay locked? and if someone was to jump into ur car and smash your steering lock could they drive it away without the keys?
remote start works perfectly with a manual transmission. I have one in my car and there is a failsafe present that will not allow you to start the car remotely if it is in gear, its a clutch sensor and I have never had a problem at all.
How can you detect that the transmission is in gear? You'd have to add position sensors to the shifter. Any clutch sensors I've seen are linked to the clutch pedal, not the clutch (plates).

buy a Clifford 50.5x
they got all kinds of addons including a tilt sensor
chepsy 2 years ago
tilt sensor? what's that for?
Alex050796 2 years ago
It senses when the car is being towed.
chepsy 2 years ago
In case somebody want to "burrow" your rims... he has to lift the car. The same when using a tow truck. It is basically an inclination sensor.
merasanam 2 years ago
if someone wants to jack ur car up to steal ur wheels or hook ur car up to a tow truck

if it dont have a tilt sensor...its crap...load it on a roll back and bye bye
killbillet420 3 years ago
Just get air springs protected with a keypad and lower that thing to the ground after parking. that way the only way u can get towed is with a forklift. And, even if they start the car they won't get anywhere.

it doesnt matter how much the alarm is. the question you should ask is, "where can i get it installed". most reputable shops will not install 3rd party units. and if you find one that does, they will probably charge you a higher price and they wont guarantee proper installation.

i own a 2003 mercedes bens ml500 and I need to know if this remote starter can be install and if so will this remote starter cause havoc to my electrical system
romeo2g 3 years ago
Yes it will. The only thing you might need a to buy a by pass moduel so it can work with no peoblems.
wolfcom5910 3 years ago
@romeo,i bought an asianwolf car alarm color lcd-top of the line.my alarm does auto start my car half mile away when you place the antenna high on car.my car alarm always go off in the middle of the every night and even in day time, giving me false sense of real car break in.the false alarm on my car sends the signals to the fob-drains battery-so it last only a week.the carbon fiber faded like within a week so it's not top quality at all.i am disappointed and would not buy any asianwolf product

ha, didn't work.. I had that and my car was stolen.

i suggest getting lo jack for your car =)

Whats the average cost of installation?
mangel87 3 years ago
How much is it?
evank9x 3 years ago
$119.99 plus shipping and handling
wolfcom5910 3 years ago
@wolfcom5910 oh sht, thats so cheap.
dukez9204 1 year ago
@evank9x, not worth your money. just buy other regular remote start with black fob. the lcd fob is pointless. fob use tripple AAA battery and does not last long at all. the quality of asianwolf is not all that. i bought one and it sure goes off like in middle of the night for no reason.
thebestman 1 year ago
vis black box is the best car system flat out.
VisBlackBox 3 years ago
pretty much any car audio place will install it..they just charge a crap load if it isn't the ones they sell.. i bought one at the asianwolf web site for about 200 and ever where I've priced to put it on has said 300 or more. but i got the one with pretty much everything the remote start the window module all that

Ya, it is just like my Scytek. I have the same one. Just installed it. I can't get the stupid LED to turn off though.

Also, the 2,500 foot range is highly dependent on buildings, etc. For me, it worked in pretty good somewhat open conditions from around 100 yards away. In downtown it worked anywhere from 2-5 blocks away.

The remote start does work on manual transmissions but it is not recommended.

Starting a car and leting it warm up before driving off, not only wastes fuel, it is not good for the engine. It is much better to start the car and then drive off straight away.
mrcellophane99 3 years ago
In arctic (below 0F) weather, you want to let the engine warm up a bit before you start driving it since extreme cold can be hard on engine parts if you push it too hard. You also need to let it warm up enough to defrost the windows, because if you start driving right away, they'll frost up so you can't see where you're going.
And one more thing, sitting on cold vinyl (for those that might still have vinyl seats) can crack it.
n0ukf 3 years ago 2
Ice cold engine on tick-over can't be good for your cam lobes. It would be better if it let it sit at 2k as the engine is unloaded anyway.
JeefCakes 3 years ago
no it's not good for to drive off straight away!... u have to let it warm for a bit about 30sec to a 1min on warm hot days, but during cold weathers like during winter u have to let it warm up as 5mins-10mins!!
thevi3t1 3 years ago
ur an idiot. u have to have a really shitty car for time like that.
bongydodo 3 years ago
Oh and just to let everyone know, you CANNOT use the remote start AND turbo timer features with the manual transmission version of this alarm (you can use one or the other). You CAN however just install the automatic trans. version in your manual car (disable/unplug the clutch start switch or use relay). But be SURE to never leave it in gear as it can lurch forward.
Nayr747 3 years ago
when you use the remote start do the doors stay locked? and if someone was to jump into ur car and smash your steering lock could they drive it away without the keys?
pizziolaa 3 years ago
Your doors stay locked and when the thief steps on the break it turns off
wolfcom5910 3 years ago
remote start works perfectly with a manual transmission. I have one in my car and there is a failsafe present that will not allow you to start the car remotely if it is in gear, its a clutch sensor and I have never had a problem at all.
gqbossx 3 years ago
How can you detect that the transmission is in gear? You'd have to add position sensors to the shifter. Any clutch sensors I've seen are linked to the clutch pedal, not the clutch (plates).
