And i own a 9-3 aero.. and this is my 4th saab så i know to about saab and vector has only 175hp (orginal)

Vector = 175 hp.

Aero = 210 hp

Aero v6 = 250 hp.

i put that intake on my 9-3 and it got a CEL and started driving like it weighed a million pounds

@nvythisAero hey glad i seen this vid. installed it yesterday and it sounds great, have a question though. when installing it said i would have to put on the smaller fillter aswell if it was an aero model. but i could not find a place for it to go in front. did you have this problem.

No bov on Saabs with T8. They use a bypass valve. recirculates back into the intake.

i drive saab for almost 20 years, drive a 9-3 2006 aero convertible , steel grey nowadays) and its a desirable car. Nice engine and great roadbehaviour. Dont have any complaints after 2 years of driving. To bad Saab is killed by GM.

i'm looking seriously at buying a saab 9-3, but i've heard reliability on used ones isnt too good, so i'm at a stand still right now. Plus i live in rural illinois, no saab dealers or mechanics anywhere close! So idk if you have some advice i'd sure like to hear it. Cuz i'd love to have a saab 9-3 but...

What is special about Vector vs Aero vs V6 ?

I think they couldn't use the name any more because of the supercar that is named the Vector. Aero is the name they decided to replace it with. 03'-05' 9-3 Aero's basically got bumped down a notch with the intro of the 06' V6 which became the new aero.

I test a pad shift '07 grey conv Aero last week, it was a slug up to 90mph, feels better @100mph. Could not find manual to test drive.

When buddy pulled on highway the torque steer nearly put us into wall when it snapped straight @55mph merging from loop. Not good :(

Buddy is used to M3 SMG conv '04 with 19" and RWD.

V6 has 2.8L 260 torque 250hp stock.

+25hp with ECU

2.0 2004 makes only 249hp with ECU.

what I meant by "bumped down a notch" is the trim levels changed. Ya i've heard that from others about that V6 torque steer. If you haven't driven a turbo'd car before it can really catch you off guard.

I own 944T with cup upgrades and larger turbo and 20psi of boost.

But it's RWD with mechanical LSD

I want another car to drive to work in rain, something a bit more rare than a EX Accord or Mazda.

Beetle Turbo S 2004 is $8k about same as Saab Vector-Aero '03-04.

Put some replica 19" turbo twists on met silver VW.

Saab Aero style look great stock, maybe that real wood int. or CF trim inside with ECU, intake, and blow off, exhaust.

VW needs rims upgrade and spoiler on rear below electric deployed one.

I can buy two '03 Vector Aero manual 2.0 for price of an '06 Aero V6 2.8L

ECU brings 2.0L boost up to match stock V6, but stock clutch is reported to slip in manual @249hp

it's.. ALIVE! Seriously sounds like it's breathing (30-40 sec range). My old shop would get a couple of these in for alignments and I LOVED driving them after.
