  • Love BBC...one of the original sounds of RnB and RnR sounds!

  • Habe Bill Black 1964 in Belecke getroffen und einige Songs mit ihm aifgenommen.

  • Otis Black well wrote this song ! Good as well , init ?

  • its ok,but there is one thing missing and we all know who that is dont we..........

  • Very cool song dude , the bass part is great

  • Excellent - the bass part is very sexy, but the piano with the Cord o Vox is hysterical

man, I can just see the edgy work these guys did being ringtones

  • Delighted to at last have this to play and replay and pass on, glorious right the way through

    Thank you

  • FUNNY and good! GOOD and funny!

  • digging that!

  • 1954 was thee start and the BBC made some fantastic guitar reverb sounds that I've never heard since.

  • I love it!

  • I recorded it once with a Telefunken Berolina, when it was aired by Achim Graul on WDR 2!

  • thank you for posting this Bill Black was my cousin, actually my dad's first cousin, and this is the first time I've heard his combo. thank you again

  • Note the minimal Lead playing. In other words they aren't showing you everything they know in 60 seconds.

  • This is so amazing

  • just awesome makes you want to dance

  • Doesn't get much better than this. My father had a band which had the first "on-the-road-Hammond" in Sweden and this was one of the songs they played. A lot of memories...

  • Thanks for this - my cousin was in BBC, but later - in the Beatles era.

  • I loved it then, I love it now! Thanks for bringing it back!

  • just caught elvis and bill w. scotty moore singin good rockin tonight, on that net radio allmemphismusic. bringing back soo many memories, legends, all

  • I met Bill in the 60's. I was then singing back-up with a vocal group around American Recordings studio. Bill asked me to join him at his studio (Lynn Lou). I did, and enjoyed co-writing several songs with him. Even though Isaac Hayes (Bubba) tried to get me to go with him to stax Records, I stayed with Bill until his passing. He was a dear man, and treated me like a father. I will always miss him. Eddie Lanehart

  • thanks for the message!

  • @Xpinger check out the guy in Canada,,,Andy Probyn...us ladies love him,,,unbreakable heart,,omg,,,makes ya cry

  • Wow, that's some pretty interesting stuff right there!

  • What a JIVE! YES!!!!

  • good music takes my breath away, and bill black even today can make a youngster want to get up and jive.thanks

  • still listening to this great sound from the 50's still sounds ace !!

  • That background groove in all Bill Black tunes plays in my head more than I like to admit. Such a great invention that has been copied over and over again. Thanks for posting

  • I have checked for Bill Black's combo on Youtube quite a few times. This time EUREKA.

May not seem so good to the younger crowd, but I love it.

Thanks a lot for posting it.

Memories of working at the Nevada Test Site in about 1960. Driving my Austin Healy back and forth to work from Vegas. And listening to Bill Black's combo.

  • Not as good as I thought. I had this 45 record years again and liked it, but not now, its dull.

  • Pretty snappy!
