  • I wished every hunted creature would teach the hunters this way .... tumbs up! *****

  • okay, this is creepy, so there's only one thing to do....ADD IT TO MY HALLOWEEN PLAYLIST!!! THIS IS PERFECT!!!!!

  • PLEASE repost without the added crap.

  • Herman Melville was psychic, and Moby Dick was a warning about America's future.

The Pequod and Ahab represent the corporate powers; Moby Dick represents whatever man, or nation, will destroy this country. The whiteness of the while is symbolic of its purity, the whale is not in fact evil.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 That's not even close. White Sperm whales are simply said to be more aggressive than normal-colored sperm whales because white sperm whales stand out and can be easily seen by predators, and therefore have to be more aggressive to survive.

However, Melville was psychic. Not long after he wrote the novel, a sperm whale attacked and sunk a boat near the same area as in the book.

The book is mostly about revenge and its consequences

  • @PyroGothNerd white sperm whales don't exist dude, and, the sperm whale is an apex predator, nothing attacks it. Sensitivity to the spirit world can be acquired any one of three ways;

    1) the least common in the modern world, because of the persecution of the Christian church, and the holocaust of spiritual sensitives during the witch hunts, is being born with it.

    2) meditating for many years.

    3) having a brush with death, the most common way in the west given the amoral lifestyles.

  • @PyroGothNerd my people the Hebrews are born with it, some to a greater extent than others. This generation, is supposed to see Hebrew children with immense spiritual abilities. Part of the Messiah's job, is protecting them. Ever watch "Tron Legacy?" Symbolically, it plays on the Indigo prophecy; the ISOs represent Indigo children, children BORN wise, and spiritually sensitive.

  • @PyroGothNerd there is a dark side to the Indigo prophecy, actually. The book of Revelation states, that if those children are killed, humanity will be destroyed and sent to hell. Children with psychic abilities are erroneously labeled by the secular as being psychotic, the ensuing depression leads many to commit suicide, and, they are labeled as "evil children" by religious fundamentalists. Teen suicide has reached an all time high; there may be truth to that prophecy.

  • @PyroGothNerd many teenagers with psychic ability often commit suicide out of depression that no one believes them. According to a very ancient Hebrew prophecy, the Messiah has to be a warrior, to watch over them, to protect them against those who would prey on them. It is also the ultimate destiny of the lost tribe of Benjamin, to die defending them. The tribe of Benjamin was an ancient Hebrew tribe of warriors, their ultimate fate is to defend those children.

  • @PyroGothNerd the men of the tribe of Benjamin, alongside the men of the tribe of Judah, are the greatest warriors the world has ever known. What about Shaolin monks and Samurai? Technically they are not warriors, they are something higher; they are martial artists. Racist religous Jews insist that the Hebrews are gifted by God above all other peoples, if that is true, then that makes the men of the tribes of Benjamin and Judah, the best ever.

  • @PyroGothNerd the tribe of Judah is nearly extinct though; my group of Jews, the Jews of Iraq, is all that is left, and we are dying. If Israel is to be defended, if the prophecies are true, it lays in the hands of the Benjamites. I will warn the people of the United States in advance; do not make an enemy of the tribe of Benjamin. If that lost tribe is ever identified and found, if you make war against them your country will be destroyed.

  • @PyroGothNerd the Hebrew people, are the people most like Adam, most like the first man. All humanity descends from Adam, but just like a father has a son most like him, the son who is most similar, in the larger human family, that is how it is with the Hebrews, the TRUE Hebrews. Not black people, not ugly germans or slavs, but the most ancient semitic bloodline of the middle east, going all the way back to Adam himself.

  • @PyroGothNerd because the Hebrew people are most similar to that first man formed by the hand of God himself, for that reason, no people can (allegedly, just humoring racist Rabbis here) be better than the Hebrews. If it is true that the Jews are the best at everything, then the Benjamites are as good with warfare, as ashkenazi Jews are with brain stuff. If that is true, make war against them, and your country will be destroyed.

  • @PyroGothNerd and, one final thing; the book is about UNJUSTIFIED revenge and its consequences. Moby Dick did not hurt Ahab in a serious way, he only hurt his pride, making Ahab's revenge disgusting. Melvile loved America, he wasn't some bitter cynic out to criticize it, his grandfather fought in the revolutionary war. The book is a warning, for the people of the country he loved so much. Herman Melvile may be asking the United States, to not make war on the Jewish Messiah.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Actually, Ahab lost his leg. Medical technology wasn't very good back then, so Ahab could've bled to death. Ahab got lucky, and would be considered a cripple. How would you feel if somebody cut off your leg and you had to adjust to a peg leg, while your real leg was being eaten by fishes in Davy Jone's locker?

...plus, you don't know what religion the author was, and overdid the replying.

  • @PyroGothNerd if any of those prophecies are true, Melville symbolically made a warning, that making war on the Jewish messiah will lead to disaster. The white whale, is symbolic of the messiah's power, and purity. The fact that moby dick is covered with scars, implies that the messiah, and the United States, will be closely linked, maybe this country will scar him.

If the true Messiah appears, do not go to war with him.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Megaspam^^

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 dude you are just crazy, totally missed the point of the book and made up something way more complicated that skips many sections that contradict your idea.

  • sone scheiße dass ich die aufm summer breeze verpasst hab, aber es war zu spät :(

  • Moby Dick Ate the Chinese guy,

    Can we all say Irony

  • I would if it was a dolphin eating a Japanese person ;)

  • @Ricktard1010 lmao, hell yeah

  • ciertamente esta banda es espectacular, debo confesar que no soy un fan acérrimo del funeral doom, pero esta banda es una de las excepciones, es realmente excelente. saludos.

  • Would be amazing if Ahab made a PV for this song, like a miniature movie...

This is epic by the way.

  • Damned great video!

  • evil, doomy, hell yeah!!!

  • Really, REALLY pisses me off that they don't have the scene with Tashtego and the Seahawk in the movie.

  • Amazing song!!!! Great Band!!! Great Movie!!!

  • imagine Daniel Day Lewis as captain Ahab

  • I'm frothing at the mouth imagining it

  • And some DAMN good acting too. Amazing and I can only hope to be half that good an actor some day. At 3:58 the guy looks terrified. Great Stuff.

  • scary... and really awesome!

  • Great!

  • holy shit, those last five minutes were really intense

  • great song, great video and can't wait to see Ahab play live on Nov. the 28th!!!!!!!!!

  • At 3:52 did the whale just eat the chinese guy??

  • i think so, and every member on that whale boat

  • in the old movie Moby used to kill with his jaw, and in this one he dones with the tail... Less scarying

  • yes but, if you know a bit about whale, you know taht they dont have any teeth so its more plosible for moby dick to kill with his tail then with his jaws...

  • @jo111222

no, the moby dick is sperm whale, therefor it has teeth

  • geniale kombination aus film und lied!

  • Great combination of movie and song!!

  • So, I know it shouldn't matter, but I cant understand them >_> I really want to, but...

  • does anyone knows as evil Funeral Doom bands as Ahab?

    (sry for my english -.-)

  • try "Mourning Beloveth"

  • Evoken is at the Top of my Lists.

  • jesus this is scary man the song is spooky and it reminds me of cold big black SEA

  • Hervorragende Neuvertonung des '98 er Filmes ;-)

  • ... to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.

  • HEY! I wanted to say that!

  • Sorry :P I was quicker off the draw I guess...

If you can find another great quote from teh novel, post it

  • Incredible!!

  • Epic is less to describe this!!

  • smart whale

  • I should say, beautifully done video, though! Really nice.

  • I really wanted to enjoy this movie, as I love Moby-Dick, but I think that the inconsistency of the effects -- from rubber whale to CGI -- does not work as well as the 1956 version, which is certainly more raw, but more effective.

  • esto es funeral doom?

  • it is funeral doom, one of the best in funeral doom to be infact

  • yeah

the other bands are too melodic.

    this is actually really evil^^

  • boobs

  • screams from the outlook : whale ahead !

i want this whale,i want it dead !

White Whale - Holy Grail ...

Love this book...this movie...and ESPECIALLY AHAB music

  • Split your lungs with blood and thunder! When you see the white whale!

  • I'm reading the book. Seems the movies always attract with special effects, but crop the story too much.

  • I don't get it. The Moby dick whale was supposed to be so big it sank ships, but they want to harpoon it from rowboats?

  • it's ol' captain Ahab in hunt of Dickey Moe

  • Epic movie, epic song. This is fantastic!

  • i really liked this movie

  • beautiful

  • I love this movie!! Patrick Stewart as Ahab. Great !!

I also like the old version with Gregory Peck;-)

  • Tis video is so fucking cool its unbelievable.

  • Shame Hallmark did this movie, wasn't as good as it could have been. I still prefer the old one.

Moby Dick on a whole, however, is epic.

  • Thanks for posting this man. THis is so cool! I loved this movie when it first came out back in '98. I was in third grade at the time. I was a total nature freak and loved everythng about the ocean (especially whales). So, this story/movie is right up my ally. I plan on reading the novel sometime soon when I get the chance. Again, thanks a lot BlackQF. I appreciate it.

  • Ace, epic.... a real mastodont of a track....

what Kraken would make if they would learn to play guitar... big kudos ao AHB!

    \m/

  • You shouldn't compare bands at all.

Ahab is a great band and the do Funeral Doom Metal. Mastodon is one of my favorite bands but I don't say that they are 'better' then Ahab because they have a comletely different style. But the most impotatnt thing is, that musicians should be collegues, not concurrents.

@ Topic: Very good vid! Matches perfect to this song... or the song mathes to the vid? However, GREAT!!

  • Dont's compare them with metalcore bands you bastards!

  • What makes you think Mastodon is better? From an artistic point of view I would say Ahab is. But like that one perosn just said..you cant compare them they are such different styles.

  • Excellent

  • might want to put a spoiler warning or something up. ruins the ending to an incredible piece of literature. otherwise, very well done. fucking epic.

  • A fin erupts from the abyss

    Proudly undulates the flesh

    Reaches bright horizons Inviolable, manorial

    An arrow loosens

    ... and spirit's away.

  • FIRE! The harpoon slashes the water's surface Diving into darkness - the prey escapes Swallowed by the sea Starboard lies calm Portside full of wrath Possessed by unhuman anger The heart brawly pumps the blood Through the marionette of rage Ahab's visage runs red I want this whale, I want it dead
  • 1998 that long ago how Time flies I hope they will make another Live action Movie of Mobu Dick in the Theaters really soon.

  • THE HUNT [Music by Droste, Lyrics by C. Hoffarth] Flat and silent the ocean lies Pequod's captured in a lull No gentle breeze blows in the sails Heated by a salty carpet from above The crew's emaciated, survival tough Giant billows bear a mighty whiteness Screams from the lookout: Whale ahead! I want this whale, I want it dead! Hysteria on upper deck Rabid flames in Ahab's eyes Hustle and bustle, drag and pull Panic affects the whaler's moves
