I think what they did is just modernized the movie. The attitudes of the characters remind me so much of the original. I definitely plan on seeing this one. :)

I am a 33 year old woman and even I thought The Dark Knight was better than this. Don't get me wrong, I love this movie but only a moron thinks anything can top Heath Ledger's performance as a The Joker.
This movie is awful. Awful, awful, awful. Amazing cast wasted in one of the most poorly written and horribly directed pieces of shit that I have seen in years. Not even worth paying for the DVD. If it took Diane English 14 years to come up with this, then her ability is truly questionable.
You're full of crap. You must be some male chauvinist who can only get his rocks off watching blood and gore. Sucks for you, dickwad. Not everyone likes The Dark Knight or Eagle Eye, asswipe.
Actually, a lot of women, including Mary Elizabeth Williams the movie critic for SALON don't dig this movie either. Ms. Williams, quote: "...Let the record show, then, that a movie written by, directed by and starring women can suck just as mightily as anything any bunch of men could produce. You go, girls. Preferably as far away as possible." By your standards, and I use the word loosely with anyone who writes posts as self-incriminating yours, Ms. Williams is a "dickwad" or "asswipe" too.
Actually, being told I am "full of crap" and called a "dickwad" and an "asswipe" by anyone suggesting support for a Right-Wing Buffoon like McCain as your handle "McCainis4me" implies, is something that I sort of wear like a badge of honor. Being called names and attacked by anyone flashing a handle like "McCaineis4me" is kind of like a backhanded compliment. Without knowing it, you may have just done more PR damage to "The Women" than anything that all the critics or I could do combined.
Your intelligent response, "ur (ur?) full of shit," provides a winning defense for this movie. When one compares the words of the critics and the audience members who overwhelmingly recognize the flaws of THE WOMEN to your genius defense of it, how could any educated movie fan NOT want to rush out and see this movie? In fact, how could anyone argue with the opinion of any Celine Dion karaoke fan posing as a movie critic?

ayaaa... stop with ur *hey, I'm bettah than everybody!* Even tho u didn't like it it doesn't mean no one is alowed to like it. U know why I wrote *ur* uh? Well, its cuz I don't have time writing to farts like ya ! So back of and I write how I want ;)
The critics, the audience members, and other film enthusiasts who did not enjoy this remake have no claim against people like you who actually enjoyed it. In fact, nobody claimed to be better than you for your opinion. It might be helpful to explain specifically what made this film unworthy of criticism according to you. People who disagree with you are "farts." I wonder if you are related to Diane English. Sorry, if I insulted you Diane. I don't like your film. But I have nothing against you.
Diane English wrote, produced, and directed "The Women" basing it on an original 1936 play written by Clare Boothe Luce. It was made into what is now regarded as a classic MGM film directed by George Cukor and featuring an all-star cast that included Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell, Paulette Goddard, Joan Fontaine, and others. In response to your inquiry, I have absolutely no idea who Diane O. is at all. Maybe you can help us out by telling us who she is in connection to this film.
"Are u like replying me or are u actually talking to urself ?"
Are YOU like retarded? Do you actually know anything about film history besides Celine Dion karaike videos and Bugs Bunny cartoons? Did you study English in high school? Did you graduate? Did you actually GO to school? Do you know anything about movies made before 1985? Do you know ANYTHING period? Your responses and "defense" of this film are so disconnected from any signs of intelligence that they almost defy description .
