  • In the Rock And Roll Gospel Show scheme of things, this is a song God sings to Satan...

  • the original is willie nelson...

  • My father heard Pet Shop Boys while i was a little child...now I'm 19 and still lovin them...

  • gaga rin ..

    Cheers Psb

  • Gaga is everywhere, very much hits are compared with Lady Gaga....

  • Greatest cover ever.

  • @43edson If you think this is great, you should check out the Fine Young Cannibals cover of Suspicious Minds. It blows this one out of the water.

  • I've always said "The Original Always Beats The Cover" but I was wrong with this one.

  • For some reason PSB seemed to make terrible videos most of the time. Don't get me wrong I think it matches their quarkyness, but "Its Alright" seems to be their only timeless video.

  • @Surannhealz This is not the original video! But they've classic videos such as "Heart", "Domino Dancing" or "Being Boring"

  • @Surannhealz Very-era videos are great

  • rubbish sound quality

  • @HIGHPEAKDECOR

Ofcourse it is. It's taken from an old VHS recording from 1986!

  • @pertan better for German watchers, it's not blocked for them because of the bad quality^^

  • classic popmusic

  • im on Elvis.. ^_^

  • mental patients mosrning doc sossy prays day for mexxxxxx

  • Ummm.....the was a Willie Nelson song....though I do like this one better.

  • @cydwatts It was actually a Belinda Lee song covered by Elvis covered by Pet Shop Boys. Wille also covered it as a country song.

  • Better than Elvis???

I bet you guys are bibier's fan

  • I wanted to see the old man version of the video but it's not available in my country.

    :-/

The old man rules! There's nobody better to go cruising with on Friday night.

  • I loved the PSBs but I love Willie Nelson's haunting version of Always on My Mind.

  • Both are good versions, but think about this ... despite the time, the Elvis musical version does not feel as old as the version of Pet Shop Boys ... it's curious.

  • Las 2 versiones me encanta, esta canción traigo en mi cel desde hace 2 años y tel cel la puso hace unos meses, que copiones!!!

  • hay 3...shakira ha echo otra

  • Great version , better than elvis , i dont think so, but of course it is subjective

  • me recuerda mi primer gran amor de hace mas de 10 anos;

  • This is rather a "demo" version. The single version is fantastic with all those horns, brass and, yes, breaking glasses. And, yes it is better than Elvis version. Only these guys could cover Elvis better than the King...

  • wtf? This is better????Elvis Give all of them homework. They will newer do that homework....

  • haha pliz dont try to watch shakira version!!!

  • I needed a hit of this after watching Scott's version last night on Idol... This one is sooo much better than any other version!

  • Meravigliosi

  • one of the best pop groups of the 80s. love this particular song, so beautiful

  • Great song. Heard it when I was a kid

  • You can say ...maaaybe,this version is better than Elvis version, but don't talk about voice.Cause Elvis voice is 6437786767678623 times better than this guy's

  • hahaha gtfo better than elvis. yeah i dont think so. it's a very good version but no.

  • This is a GEM. My favourite song by them.

  • Best Song ever!!!

  • Great version by a great duo.................not sure about the train setting though

  • Hreat song great duo......not sure about the train setting though

  • yep, the MOD sounds just like this too, lol.

  • 80's FTW!!

  • PSB are great '80's. Their music is technically outstanding. Very well done.

  • Pet shop boys one of the best 80s non mainstream 80s bands

  • Gay...like them

  • @tninbredretard

    hahaha if well

    1) Ok then, explain to me how its "gay" (Which I bet you can't)

2)I'm sure you what you say doesn't matter to the PSB, they've got millions of fans all over the world, so.....ahahaha.

  • @PetShopBoy96 Well PSB really nailed it with this one, their cover is great, it is also very gay, leather, aviators and peaked caps, lovely. The sounds of the backdrop is so amazingly good.

  • 100 times better than Gaga!!

  • @889029550 100?..... being nice to the bitch aren't ya?

  • STILL LOVE PSB!!!!!!

  • you are always on my mind babe.....always....I L U x x

  • I just kicked a awesome cd burn of myy PSB albums.

  • Excellent

  • It's probably one of the only bands I like from..is it the eighties?

  • I remember watching this as it was being broadcast on ITV. I loved it then and I love it now. I remember thinking: "please, Please, PLEASE (in-joke for Neil Tennant Smash Hits fans, there) release this as a single! It's brilliant!" Fortunately, they knew it was brilliant, did release it as a single and it became the Christmas No.1 of 1987. I was so proud. Best cover version ever, I would suggest.

  • If I remember correctly the PSBs recorded this for an edition of the UK television programme 'The South Bank Show,' which was celebrating the life and music of Elvis. Many artists, including the PSBs, were asked to cover an Elvis song for the show. Not sure if Chris and Neil chose the song or were given it, but ironic that it's now associated with them as much as Elvis. Hadn't seen this in ages. And certainly forgot Chris was wearing a muir cap. I'm going to dig through my VHS tapes to find my

  • i just love this... when I was 23 or 24 I danced "wildly" with a gorgeous girl on this... I still wonder how she accepted to have that dance with me that night... never spoke to her before OR AFTER that dance... don't think that i'm a monster though... lol

  • Well, I think this song is the TRADE MARK of the band! It still can be listened in my country... to confess: this version is MUCH BETTER than Elvis, and I don´t like his songs!!

  • ce piesa frate . Buna a lui Elvis da al baietilor de la PSB parca e si mai bestiala

  • @stonekirby someone should do your mom for what you just said :)

  • I love they look

  • I never seen this mtv in the Philippines.

What i just saw on the another mtv

of Always On My Mind when those

Pet Shop Boys driving a car when

the man is inside the car. Anyway

thanks to up load this video

  • @hilarioph This is the version they played for Elvis Tribute. The song received so many raving reviews and demand that they went over it and released the song in the video as the number one single.

  • You are always on my mind babe x x I Love You x x

  • Man....simply the best song ever...its so emotive you can see that they really composed it from the heart

  • you are always on my mind my lovely Haley.....

  • @argirenios ~~Miss you "M"

  • Elvis' version will always be the best, because one, it's his own. And two, the meaning is very clear and captures his relationship with Priscilla perfectly. And has the proper emotion. However this version is amazing.

  • mega like (Y)

  • @pertan ;where did you get this from?

  • PSB always got me suprised: I think I watched all their videos.........

  • Damn Neil looks sooo fit in this! Thanks for posting, not seen this before :-)

  • Great song Great video.....

  • Presley's version was from the 70's, while Nelson's was from the 80's.

  • I simply have great respect for these two cos they can put so much heart and feeling to a song even a techno one,and Neil's voice is so kind and warm that can surpass any music type. This great they are.

  • Madò! uno scempio rispetto alla versione di Elvis!

  • Great song!

  • Wow, that female singer looks a lot like a man. It's a shemale singer!

  • Tell me....tell me that your sweet love hasn't died....give me 1 more chance to keep you satisfied...satisfied....ILU babe...always yours... x x

  • vive les années 80

  • PSBs rule!

  • is it ok for me to like this AND the Elvis version AND the Willie Nelson ? they all sound good to me - maybe its just an excellent song. ( Willie's is best tho )

  • what aload of rubbish, Elvis was over rated big time, while his writing was very good, is singing was annoying at times. but everyone has different tastes and views, certainly Elvis was not my cuppa tea

  • The PSB's dragged this song into the 80's with style and passion and a faster pop beat to it, far better performed than Elvis himself.............4 weeks uk number one including xmas number one (beating the pogues to xmas number one)... shows it was a popular song :))

  • @Neomaster35 Comparing this song to Elvis' version and then saying the PSB sang is better shows me you are pretty music ignorant. I like the PSB version, but they took a tragic love song, sung beautifully by Elvis (he recorded it during the time he was divorcing Priscilla),.... who can hear the melancholy in his voice which made the song an Elvis classic. The PSBs then took the song and basically took all the feeling out of it. Like I said I like the PSBs version, but it is without ...

  • @Neomaster35 continued;;;;;; it is without feeling. Listen to Elvis' great voice, the sadness in it and James Burton's crying guitar and then compare it to the synthesized voices and musical instruments in the PSB version. There is no comparison. Elvis sang a great song and gave it feeling. The PSBs took the same song and turned it into a cold techno pop song.

  • @Neomaster35 you are right, better than Elvis's version. I simply PREFER THIS ONE.

  • Esse som tocou muito no Brasil, dancei, curtí muito.

  • bella è acara do ricardinho de vitoria recorda o serra bela club!

  • Willie Nelson is funny as hell and I like him, but it's actually not his song It was originally recorded by Brenda Lee. Then Elvis Presley covered it, then John Wesley Ryles, then Willie Nelson. Would like to see Willie teasing the PSB though

  • I remember seeing some comedy show with a skit having Willie Nelson get revenge on the PSB by covering a bunch of their songs. It was hilarious.

  • This demo version, is currently available to buy, its on an extended version of the album "Actually". But i have never seen this video anywhere else. A good copy must exist somewhere, but thank god they invented video recorders. Because this was definately shown on TV.

  • astralislux - Willie's (1982) is a cover of the original Elvis song (1972). "But James's greatest success came with "Always on My Mind," a collaboration with Johnny Christopher and Wayne Carson, issued as a b-side by Presley in 1972, but becoming a huge hit for Willie Nelson a decade later. James won a Grammy Award for Song of the Year for Nelson's version. ..." Wikipedia on Mark James (songwriter)

  • - Too upbeat. Willie's version shows contriteness. This, OTOH, is just another song.

  • Compared to the raw passion that the likes of Willie Nelson and Elvis put into this song, this is nothing. Pet Shop Boys are a good band, but they murdered this song by turning it into a light pop track with no emotion. That's just my opinion though.

  • @mremile72 - I agree with you 100%.

  • so sweet and professional, thats them

  • Always....always on my mind babe.....24 / 7 ILU x x SORRY x x

  • tbh, this version is better than Elvis's one

Elvis one is great, but theres something more special in this guys voice ^_^

  • @FrossaP00P u go @FrosaaP00P WORDS OF WISDOM,U R RIGHT

  • I knew this version before the Elvis one and i still love it!

  • shakira try to sing it too

  • Good art doesn't gets older. I live in Brazil.

  • FAVORITE !

  • TNX Rocco for forward ! I like this music...I like synth music ! :-bd

  • you are always on my mind babe xx love you x always x

  • This song was no.1 in Germany^^

  • A fitting tribute to the KingPet Shop Boys were the shizzy in the 80s, you do remember that glorious time of over indulgence and Miami Vicegreat time.Peace!

  • be nice to mix elvis vocals

  • NB This song was not written by Willie Nelson. He covered it in 1982, ten years after the Elvis version. It was first recorded by Brenda Lee, and was written by three songwriters, including the guy who wrote Suspicious Minds, but not including Willie Nelson.

  • Our mops dogs love pet shop boys very much. They do not eat properly without listening them.

  • sem comentarios, eles sao d+, anos se passa e sao os melhores, maravilhoso

  • So Akira Yamaoka is...

Listen by yourself. Silent Hill Shattered memories - Always on my mind.

  • This song was no.9 in the world-year-end-charts in 1988

  • The train station sation is in Istanbul! Arevia!

  • fabuloso

  • it was played on polish music programs in the late 80's so somewhat it was released

  • this song is soooo great. :))

  • great lyrics...I can think of so many people that I love with this song!

  • I think this was a Willie Nelson song first?? Can anyone please confirm.

  • @astralislux Sim, esta musica foi cantada por Willie Nelson e é muito triste

  • Elvis Presley MAN!

  • Willie wrote it sang it first then elvis made it a chart buster

  • correct. But still PSB made this cover for a Elvis Tribute show. PSB and others were invited onto a 1987 British TV show commemorating the tenth anniversary of Elvis Presley's death. Each artist was asked to perform a rendition of a song made famous by "The King." PSB choosed this one.

  • @pertan Yeah! True enough fr the Willie Nelson. The Pet Shop Boys made already like... How many versions? But the best version came out before December 1987 at TOTP. (perhaps but not sure... I think it is)

  • @pertan Actually it was written for Brenda Lee (its a country music song) in 1972, then recorded by Elvis in '72 as well. Willie Nelson didn't cover it until '82.

  • @pertan they have great songs but bad videos! the most important is the music anyways

  • @astralislux If by "first", you mean Willie Nelson recorded the song ten years after Elvis did, then yes, he was first.

  • @ScotchTX and before elvis was brenda lee. song was written by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson in 1972, same year elvis did is also.

  • @astralislux it was originally released by brenda lee but over 300 people have recorded it. Williem nelson elvis and the pet shop boy did the most famous versions by far though.

  • @astralislux Yes it was, and he did a great job singing it and the writing of this song is perfect. Elvis did it the best but this is a great tribute to both of them even though it is a tribute to Elvis.

  • @astralislux Elvis sang this song originally 1972

  • @astralislux

Always on My Mind" is an American country music song by Johnny Christopher, Mark James and Wayne Carson Thompson originally recorded by Brenda Lee. Willie Nelson version was released in 1982 while elvis's verion was released 10 years before that 1972 hope that helps you may check Brenda lee version on youtube. its actually very good

  • @astralislux Elvis did it first, around 1972. It was a non-LP b-side to "Seperate Ways", but it still charted on the billboard country charts. Willie's cover was a few years later.

  • @astralislux

I believe Brenda Lee originally recorded this song. Others have since then, but she was the first. Elvis recorded his version before Willie recorded his.

  • Malgré le son "un peu" pourri, je suis obligée de dire que j'adore. Bravo pour la vidéo, les Pet Shop sont géniaux, la zique géniale... Bref, merci pour ça !

  • »QUEEN=THE SHOES GOES ON!!!!

  • »QUEEN IS BACK!!! QUEEN ABSOLUTE GREATEST C O m !!!!

  • Queen fools

  • esto es musica carajo aprendan a hacer musica reguetoneros de porqueria

  • Hello!!!!

    Nice tune!!!!

  • O PET SHOP BOYS FOI A MAIOR BANDA NA MINHA ÉPOCA DE DISCOTECA... TENHO MAIS DE TRINTA ,,, ELES ERAM DEMAIS!!!!!!!!SONIMAR - jUNDIAI SP

  • The PSB version is way way beter than the original...Elvis was in his cheesy phase of life unfortunately...so...the tribute is justified for the 'KIng'....best that could have happened to the song

  • I prefer the PS3 version

  • yep, the x360 version isnt that good
