That's what I'm trying to do now with the new Hitler Movement of Islam. Cops have to deal with threats differently that regular citizens. They dont know if you R a friend of the arrestees? Just an idiot causing trouble? Or what ever. If YOU were arresting someone and some STRANGER got all up on you as you are struggling with the BAD GUY you would wonder if this CLOSE NOT LISTENING person is a threat also.

The attempts to squash or make it illegal to film any "public SERVENT" is unbelievable and should be frightening to any citizen and in addition is a good indication of where we are in our relationship with our GOV. The GOV. is ramping up it's efforts to become or MASTERS, not our SERVENTS. The fact that so few people even care leaves me with little hope for the future. Great stuff once again. However, I thoroughly approve of the "mosque crawlers". There's no reason why anyone cannot go to any church, temple or Mosque to listen in. Fine with me - no churches have anything to hide! Whereas surveys since the late 1990s consistently cite 80% of Mosques in the US are what we would call "radicalised". I have no problem with ALL Mosques being monitored - they have a lot to prove given their history & theology (I speak as someone with a Masters in Islamic studies).

This freedom is greatly infringed when government officials aggressively monitor religious services. As stated in the story, even the FBI knows that reasonable suspicion is required that a crime is about to take place or is in progress before they can spy on religious services. The most important thing is to hold the govt to the standard.

Many people don't seem able to grasp that distinction, please don't be among them. I think you need to take a step back & look at the bigger picture. Its not just the US. The West is dying. My directing you to what I know, what I've learned all these years would fall on a deaf mind. I'm not Christian or any other organized religion. Once you give up the right against unreasonable searches as a people then the government has no restriction to monitor any religious service or gathering. Once the the speech crosses the line where it endangers other people then a crime is or is about to take place, i.e. government has reasonable suspicion to investigate. The last thing this country needs is speech police.

@InformedCitizenNews Thank you for your reply, the discussion helps me clarify my thinking. I think it boils down to the definition of "unreasonable" and "search". I think such monitoring is reasonable & does not represent a search as I understand it. If 80% of Mosques preach Jew hatred, subjugation of non believers & the overthrow of the Western way of life - and they do as that IS "Radical" Islam - then by all means monitor them. The one weakness I see in Libertarianism is what seems to me....

The rationale that "If we let them be in peace they'll let us be" is well intentioned but utterly wrong. Islam means to dominate the world. So taught its Prophet & the current top leaders. @xadam2dudex Fair enough. Although I think that if the Police & authorities are really our representatives then we should expect them to keep a close eye on all Mosques given that 80% are "radical". I would be disappointed if they didn't & I wouldn't feel they were discharging their obligations to the rest of us. Those 80% of American Mosques represent a genuine threat to our way of life & are not just shadows IMO. Meanwhile all the FBI & cops can come to church, we have nothing to hide :)
